wvParticipantPeter King on Bengals kicker: “He has made more 50 yard field goals in one season than any kicker in history”

wvParticipantThe Titans were ‘better’ than the Bengals. The Chiefs were ‘better’ than the Bengals. Now the Rams.
Some Peter King.

wvParticipantObviously, there are much, much bigger issues to deal with than a NFL team name . . . but I would think Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale and The Testaments, plus the Hulu series, would have soured them on the one they chose. I can’t help but see the word in a different light because of those works. And, given the Washington’s recent range of issues about its team culture? Oh, well. The change was necessary. But they could have done better.
========
Given the low-lifes that own and run that team, i suppose it could have been worse.

wvParticipantThis one is kinda inter esting. (ignore the utube title. They are always misleading.)
wvParticipantI know we’ve all seen this, but it still makes me smile.
The play Lions fans remember:
wvParticipant
wvParticipantImagine if the black (and non-black) players actually
had solidarity, and, say, went on strike, etc.
Things would change.
Alas, capitalism divides them, ‘atomizes’ them.

wvParticipantWith Brady out of football, playing golf, and probably running as Trump’s next
VP, and Aaron Rogers probably alienating a new fan-base in the AFC,
is Stafford gonna be the best QB in the NFC?
Stafford better than Kyler? Russell Wilson? Trey Lance?
w
v
wvParticipantDo you-people trust this team to take the Bengals seriously?
I dunno.
w
v
wvParticipantI’d be surprised. As Cooper Kupp pointed out he’s a competitive psycho.
No way he’d walk away with only one ring, when he’s got
a great core of prime talent in LA.

wvParticipantEric D : “Stafford reminds me of Brett Favre.”
Yes.
==================
wvParticipantI had major anxiety all week. I wanted another shot at those Hineys. For a while there, I was thinking, “What the fuck was I thinking?” Then after the second Kupp TD I knew we had it in the bag. The Niners couldn’t run the ball and left it in Jimmy G’s hands. A nightmare scenario for them and he came through. For us. I’m proud of this team. Go Rams.
=========
I wanted them to get another shot at the Beasts as well.
Reminded me a bit of the 99 scenario where the GSOT
had to play the Sapp/Lynch Bucs.
Back in the early 70’s ‘every’ F’ing game was a ‘body-bag game.’
…these kids today and their NFL-flag-football…

wvParticipantIs Eric Weddle, like, three feet tall? I’m just askin. He looks teeny tiny.
w
v
wvParticipantSome significant players there for sure, but there will still
be a damn good core of talent next year.
I mean, they still have Tutu.

Rams defensive tackle leaders against 49ers and where the Rams got them from:
Greg Gaines – 4th round
Darious Williams – waivers
A’Shawn Robinson – FA
Nick Scott – 7th round
Troy Reeder – UDFA
Eric Weddle – couch=======
wvParticipantAccording to Pat McAfee, Mahommes qb rating:
1st half: 149.9
2nd half: 0
=====
wvParticipantThis gets interesting when RG3 (who was coached by McVay) talks about
McVay and Gruden. They ‘dont develop talent, they like older guys who can play…”
wvParticipantI saw a stat that said this is the first time Matthew Stafford has taken
the soul of a team that has no soul.
w

wvParticipantBengals coach:
Last week, Zac Taylor shared a story of writing “Remember when” on a whiteboard in 2019 as the team was 0-7, struggling to gain a yard and prepping for the Rams.
They’d remember how that felt.
Now? In the Super Bowl. Against the Rams.

wvParticipantAnd with all that success — they still barely won.
The 49ers are just beasts.
And one would think SF will be better next year. Add a weapon or two.
NFC West.
w
v
wvParticipantAll year long I thought the Chiefs had the best team, the most
dangerous team.
I also thought the Titans would be matchup nightmare, just like the 49ers.
I also thought the Bills would be very dangerous.
So, the Rams avoid all those, and get…the Bengals?
I have no idea who they are or why they got to the
Super Bowl.
w

wvParticipantI’m 0 for 3 on my playoff predictions. 🙂

Makes no difference. Rams own Brady.

wvParticipantThe people have spoken. Most fans want to see Chiefs vs Rams.
So does the NFL.
