I agree that that doesn’t honestly represent what we usually mean by “continued investment.”

I think many of us expected them to draft one or two guys.

If the Rams fall flat this year, I would think that will be the reason. OLine. As per usual.

So it’s like, workers of the world unite, the great issue before us is billionaires making local governments pay for stadiums. Oh, and, Stafford isn’t so great when protection breaks down.

Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young completed an interview with Rich Eisen last week

This is a good one. It has a bit about Stafford, but the interesting part is where Young talks about how older qbs benefit from rules changes.

Yeah, Steve Young is always talking about the idea that QBs who can run are the new prototype, etc. And i agree with him in general, but then the running-QB-advocates ALWAYS neglect to mention the Stafford super bowl win. I always listen close to these guys and they NEVER mention the Stafford win. Its always Hertz, Mahommes, Josh Allan, Lamar, etc, blah blah.

Fact is a Brady or a Stafford can still win a Ring in this new NFL.

    Maybe even a Flacco.

I wonder what Dan Marino would look like in todays NFL.

Yeah, on D.Green, thats true, he’s an A-hole on the court, but he’s insightful and articulate on his podcast. He’s way more interesting than the other talking basketball-heads in the main-media.

SGA missed the big shot near the end of game 1. Just looked like OKC got a little tight at the end, and Indiana thrives on that clutch-time stuff.

Having to win 4 out of 7 certainly is different than the one big game at the end in the NFL. Not sure which approach i like better.

My pre-pre-season speculation has the 49ers “hanging around a lot longer than I would like them to” as a High Water mark, but I think it’s just as likely that they end up with a 7-10 record. They are not going to win the division, but they could end the season as a threat for 2026.

I am thinking Seattle is going to be better this year. And they were right there with the Rams last year. I think their coach is one of the best in the NFC.

I’m giving the Rams 12 wins and Seattle 11 wins. I’m thinking the Cards and 49ers are about .500.
    But, i dunno.

I think the 49ers will be pretty good IF McCaffrey and Trent Williams remain healthy.

    Big IF, obviously.

They did draft a shit-ton of good young defensive players.

But if he can get back in top form they could really have a top notch offense.
