wvParticipantChris Long. Bout 1:52:20 in.
…
wvParticipantShocking win. To me. Still, just can not believe it.
I cant remember a more startling regular season win in the McVay era.

wvParticipant“this is what a super bowl hangover looks like”
wvParticipant
wvParticipantOk, well….i know nothing. Been watchin the Rams since the George Allen days, and I know absolutely nothing.
That did not happen.
w
v
wvParticipant49ers favored by 6.5.
Rams are Largest underdog of the week,
except for Washington. Bengals favored by 7.5.
w
v
wvParticipantJust curious, anyone blame the Rams for these injuries? Is it just bad luck, or are they doing something wrong?
Anyone blame capitalism?
Anyone blame zn ?
w
v
wvParticipant49ers – 31
Rams – 13
Sigh.
I am already thinking of next year. Maybe biggest need is WR? Team Doctor?
w
v
wvParticipantOkay. I will bet you a tea bag that the Rams don’t end up in last place in the division. Deal?

wvParticipantAbandon hope.
I see you have no faith in the JV team.
Well, I just think there is no coming back from this. Its too much. And i get that some of these guys will come back at different times, but the rhythm and timing aint gonna be there.
And in the mean time Stafford is gonna get killed.
And look at the final stretch. Even if some guys are coming back….
This is gonna be a last place team this year. It just is. Five wins, maybe?
49ers, Bears, Packers, bye, Raiders,
Vikes, Seahawks, Dolphins, Pats, Eagles,
Saints, Bills, 49ers, Jets, Cards, Seahawks.

wvParticipantAbandon hope.

wvParticipantI’m going to hazard a guess. My bet is that the highest ranking OLs at the moment don’t have major injuries combined with suspensions. In ARZ the Rams were on their 4th LOT. I can’t remember any time where a team did well playing its 4th LOT. I know you know this. But it never stops amazing me when some fans and some national reporters and analysts don’t account for that. It amazed me in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2011, and 2022.
Obviously, Stafford failed to elevate the team.
Plus, fire the OC.
w
v
wvParticipantOn paper, it sure looked like a good OL.
omg
wvParticipantOrlovsky, essentially sayin season is over.
wvParticipantUm. Sigh. Season is over, guys.
I mean, this is just too much to overcome.
Might play a spoiler role in the last month or so, but thats about it.
Damn.

wvParticipantI saw a blurb that said 176 NFL teams have started 0-3.
Only 6 of those 176 teams have made the playoffs.

wvParticipantIs it just possible they miss that journeyman DT…..what was his name…..donald aaron or somethin ?

wvParticipantRotten Tomatoes 300 best films of all time. Fwiw. (Not sure how their algebra works, since movies with 100 percent rankings are below some in the 90s.)

wvParticipantWell, they dont need McCaffrey till playoff time. I’d be surprised if they use him at all prior to game 10 or so.

wvParticipantOnly injury of note, for the Cards:

Jonah WilliamsOT
Status: Injured reserveThe Cardinals placed Williams (knee) on injured reserve Wednesday.

wvParticipantBiggest takeaways from Lions OT win vs. Rams | ‘GMFB’
wvParticipantI only saw the 15 minute highlights on youtube, so, I dunno much.
Looked like the DLine got handled by the Lion Oline. Did it?
Injuries. Sigh.
I think the Lions are a top-3 team. Up there with the 49ers and Chiefs. Rams have a chance to be a very good team.
But of course, injuries could derail everything. Duh.

Week 1 injury report: Jahmyr Gibbs returns in full, just 3 Lions dealing with injuries
https://www.prideofdetroit.com/2024/9/4/24235046/week-1-injury-report-jahmyr-gibbs-returns-in-full-just-3-lions-dealing-with-injuries

Let’s take a look at the Lions’ first injury report of the 2024 season.
Injured reserve, Non-Football injury list
- G Christian Mahogany (Illness, mono) — NFI list, eligible to return in Week 5
- DT Brodric Martin (knee) — injured reserve, eligible to return in Week 5
- DL John Cominsky (MCL) — injured reserve, eligible to return in Week 5
- CB Emmanuel Moseley (pec) — injured reserve, eligible to return in Week 5
Estimated no practice
- S Loren Strickland (thumb)

Not much is known about Strickland’s injury at this time beyond the fact that he was also not practicing on Tuesday. Hopefully, we will learn more later this week when coach Dan Campbell speaks with the media on Friday.

Estimated limited practice
- DT DJ Reader (quad) — Week 2 target return date, but Lions keeping the door open
- S Ifeatu Melifonwu (ankle) — status for Week 1 “unclear”

Reader has been projected to return to game action in Week 2 for a few weeks now, but on Wednesday, Campbell indicated there may be a chance the Lions prized free agent is ready to play this week.

“So, yes, there’s still a chance,” Campbell said of Reader possibly playing this week. I’ll know more probably after tomorrow than I do right now. He’s doing well. He’s doing well.”

Reader is not out of the woods yet but there are encouraging signs.

wvParticipant
wvParticipantBrady is now an analyst. But he’s also applied to be a part-Owner. There’s a conflict. NFL now sez he cant talk to players, coaches, etc, as an analyst. And, he’s not allowed to criticize Refs. Weird situation for a tv analyst.
