In any event, the short field goal, the first Akers’ fumble, and the botched snap had NOTHING to do with the Bucs. Self-inflicted wounds, all 3 of those….

    =====

Some of the celebrity-sports-experts argued that “just knowing Tom Brady was on the other side” made the rams ‘tight’ and caused those mistakes.

Dont shoot the messenger.   Just passing that along.

Will Stafford, again, have to use a silent count in his home stadium?

Anybody see that Von Miller presser.  Jeezus H Christ, his arms

    are bigger than redwood trees.

I think of him as ‘fast’ and lean like Robert Quinn.

    But he’s more like Popeye.

So, does McVay go for the win with 35 seconds to play, with Jarod Goff?

I dunno, but I tend to think, no.

SF has beaten the Rams in LA, the Cowboys in Dallas, and the Pack in Green Bay.

They’ve owned McVay.  Six in a row for Shannahan.

Dee-Bo could beat Chuck Norris with one ankle in a cast.

I see a pick6 coming in the first half.  Live by the gunslinger,

die by the gunslinger.  Or somethin.

    49ers 20

    Rams 10

…btw, I know the skip bayless tirade is full of outrage and fake-tv-outrage, yadda yadda…but, he does make some good points if you are a bucs fan.

That team was playing with some key street-level back-ups.

Do the Rams get this far without the two midseason deals?  OBJ and Von.

Both players have made big plays and VM has gotten better and better. I assume his ankle just needed time.

SF’s all-pro LT Trent Williams was on crutches after
the packer game, with an ankle issue.

Deebo had some sorta ankle injury as well.

Possibly the best Divisional Round in NFL history?

And so many ‘story lines.’ Aaron Rogers and Tom Brady go home.

NFL/TV suits are hoping the super bowl aint: Cincy vs Garopolo

That last throw, is what they got Stafford for.
    He launched it.

Its the kind of play thats been intercepted this year.

But in the biggest game….there was the gunslinger.

Saw the hi-lites of both saturday games. Wow. Looked like throw-back games to the early 70s. Ferocious defenses, sacking QBs at will.
Looked like Rams vs Vikings or Steelers vs Raiders from the 70s.

    Kinda fun to see.

Not sure i was expecting that. I mean sure, Titans and 49ers play that way, but the Bengals and Packers?

I assume the Chiefs vs Bills will not look like that.

Dunno what to expect from Rams vs Bucs.

…wonder if DeeBo will be able to play next week?

I dunno. I keep seeing vid after vid talking about the Bucs OLine injuries.
    Nothing. Absolutely nuthing on Whitworth.

Its a HUGE loss. The guy is more than his blocking. He’s a leader, a force.

I think both teams might lose, sunday.

I guess what sets Brady apart is his ‘mentalfootball processor.’
Some sorta brain-thing. An ability to process lots of kaleidoscopic football-info
really fast and then make a decisive, accurate throw.

So ya got your mental ‘processing’ part of it,
and the physical ‘accuracy’ part of it.

Added to that, you had Belichick for all those years,
and in Tampa you had a perfect storm of talent around him.

Then ya got his single-minded commitment to health, nutrition,
    film study, leadership, team-first-orientation.

Added to that you have some luck as far as
being injury-free for decades, in a rough sport.

I have always despised the man for his politics and
I still do, but I have also had to give him a
smile and a sigh and concede he is and has been the best
drop-back-QB I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen Kurt, Marino,
    Staubach, Aikman, Stabler, Griese, Montana…

But the game is changing, and I dont even know if
Mahommes, Josh Allen, etc are playing the same position as Brady.
Tomlin was interesting the other day in an interview. Said he
valued a QB who could move. Said the game is changing.

To win a Ring, the Rams would have to go thru
Brady, then probly Aaron Rogers, then probly
    Mahommes/Josh Allen.

As good as Stafford is, and i do think he was an upgrade,
just look at those ‘other’ top-QBs. Damn.

It will take a team effort, obviously. Gonna have to be defense,
special teams and a running game and no stafford-panic/arrogant-throws.

Unlikely they get thru that murderers row of elite-QBs on playoff-teams.

Ah well. I cant pick against Brady at home. If it were in LA, I might,
but its in Tampa. No-one is more equipped to pick on the Rams Linebackers
and weak-links in the secondary than Tom Brady. He just aint gonna hold the ball.
    He just aint.

I like Woods, a lot. He is good at a lot of different things. With the ball in his hands, he has the vision and sense of space you find in RBs. I would never disparge him or underestimate him. But I also think Beckham just has some elite traits. I think he has some traits that are a higher level that even Ellard, Bruce, and Holt.

As I said I think his hands are magic special. And his “vertical vision” and “vertical timing” (if I can coin those terms) is special.

    =============

I didnt realize you hated Ellard, Bruce and Holt so much.

Why dont you hate on Harold Jackson and Jack snow
    while you’re at it.
