    I dont like Rogers, but Ive seen the media beat him up over the 49er loss — that 49er defense can make any offense look like crap.

    I dont understand why that is so hard to grasp.

    I would totally take a RB, if a real talent falls to them.

    Can never have enough weapons.

    huh? hicks!? hicks!? whoa. that’s… nuts. AND gilmore AND mathieu!?!?

    The difference between McSnead and Jerry Jones is startling.

    Doesnt seem like Dallas is doing anything.   And given the season

    they had, that seems strange to me.

    But who knows.

    If Dallas crashes and burns after doing nothing, its gonna be ugly

    in Texas though.

    That last vid, there’s a play I still remember fondly. I still get all amused and admiring when I see it again–after Howard intercepted the pass to end the game, it is Gaines that tackled him. Great quick last second decision by Gaines. With Howard down nothing can happen to the ball and the Rams maintain possession.

    ===

    Yeah, that was a Faulk-like play by Gaines.   Football-Awareness.

    And i have zero doubt McVay will use that Gaines play as a teaching vid.

    I keep going back to that Scott hit on Deebo.   That play is just unreal in today’s NFL.   You do NOT see a hit that HARD that is still viewed as totally clean.

    It was the perfect NFL Defensive hit.  You cannot do it any harder or any better.   Its the essence of…somethin.

    I watch it and rewatch in slow-motion and every single time, I think to myself “where is the flag?”  — because my brain just cant accept that THAT kind of hitting is STILL legal in the NFL.   But then when you look at it, its…just…perfect.

    Who woulda thought Mr Scott would come up with the best Ram hit of the year…decade…century?

    Thats a body-bag hit.

    London Fletcher still feels the pain of that Super Bowl loss to Belichick.

    Reminds me of how John Madden used to talk about the Immaculate

    Reception loss.   Some losses, some players/coaches/fans  just do Not Ever get over.

    I think it often has something to do with the fact that the Best Team doesnt always PLAY like the best team.   The Rams probly were a little better than the Pats.  They probly woulda won a ‘best of 7’ series with the Pats.

    Probly.  (And i know how good the Pats were.  They were good.  They were the Pats)

    The Pats outplayed them, and out-toughed-them and out-coached them,

    on THAT one day.    But were the Pats ‘the better team’ ?    Nah.  I dont think so.

    And that makes the pain of the loss worse, I think.    When the best team wins, I think the loss is more acceptable.

    From what I saw of Deebo, he should probably be paid

    like a top-ten player in the NFL.   Maybe top 5.

    It’s not a Rams trash can. It’s a Rams plastic cup photographed through a trick with perspective. So what’s worse. Having a Rams trash can. Or faking having a Rams trash can.

    Well, I think the consensus is, the trash can should be blue and white.

    The weirdest Rams memorabilia I have is something I found at a flea market… Rams Nesting Dolls. The irony is that Marshall Faulk is the largest (the one that contains all the other dolls) and Orlando Pace is the smallest. In order it goes Faulk, Bulger, Holt, Bruce and Pace.

    ===

    I cant believe you just let the zooey thing slide, though.

    I mean, he’s literally got a ‘Rams trash can’.

    Thats one step from having a Rams toilet.
