wvParticipantThat was a very big win. Two pretty evenly matched playoff-caliber teams.
Very physical game. This aint a finesse team.
Puka and Devante are physical-beasts.Also an important Falcon loss. I believe the Rams have their first pick, yes?

wvParticipantFrom what i read, about SIX new teams make the playoffs in the NFL every year. Each year is different but thats the average.
Now if you understand deep-algebra, that means, the Rams will go undefeated and win the Super Bowl.

wvParticipantMina: “…rams secondary is not good…”
wvParticipantStafford is probly a ‘borderline’ hall of fame guy right now. Its close. But if he gets to no.5 alltime in passing yards, i would think that would nudge him over the line.

wvParticipantWas covering the Colts until this morning. Before that, the Lions and Bears. Bounced around the league with lousy teams. The guy’s a journeyman.
Seems like he’s probably just a camp body until Jourdan comes back.
He’s ‘fired up’, ‘thrilled’, and ‘pumped.’
They replaced Rodrigue with a cheerleader.

wvParticipant“Coaches across the league view pairings such as Andy Reid and Steve Spagnuolo in Kansas City… as models for success. Having an established, veteran defensive coordinator who was once a head coach can help a team in a number of ways, especially if the current head coach calls offensive plays…”
Well, yeah. That would be nice.
Whats the longest McVay has had a particular OC or a DC ?

wvParticipant“….Verse said Thursday. “Just watching everything I’ve done wrong and everything I’ve done right. And you realize how many bad plays you had with all the accolades and all that stuff. You realize how much [more] you can grow. And, don’t let your head get too high because now, I’m thinking of how much better I can get. People are like, ‘oh, you’re good, you’re good.’ No, I’ve got so much farther to go.”
——–Well, that is exactly what you want to hear from any young player. It ‘ought’ to be the norm, but, ya know, theeze-kids-today….

wvParticipantI would love to know the corporate process they use for choosing colors and styles. Do they do focus groups with color-blind teenagers?
I KNOW they dont consult the old folks. I guess we arent the ones who buy jerseys and shit. I dunno.
w

wvParticipantLooks like Jerry thought he had an oral agreement with Micah for a certain price. But the deal wasnt finalized and Micah’s agent was not involved. Then, some defender signed for more money. And i guess, Micah then wanted more, since the oral deal was not finalized and jerry was dragging things out, etc. So Jerry thought Micah was breaking the deal, and Micah thought jerry was being a weasel.
At any rate, Cowboys get two first rounders and the Packers go all-in.
And neither is going to win the NFC.

wvParticipantI agree with what J.Rodrigue said in some vid i saw. “The rams raised their floor” with all the patching in of players this season.
She did not say they raised their ceiling. I’d guess the Eagles and Lions and Ravens and Chiefs have higher ceilings, but who knows.
NFC West looks like a complete mystery to me. Nothing would surprise me, other than the Cardinals winning the West.

wvParticipantJoe Mixon on IR for first 4 games.
Thats a big loss. Mixon is still a beast. Underrated player, imho.

wvParticipantAccording to Bucky Brooks, the Texans have a top3 Defensive front, and a top2 secondary.
https://www.nfl.com/news/ranking-nfl-s-top-three-defensive-lines-secondaries-in-25-giants-loaded-up-front-texans-make-both-listsThat sounds pretty good to me.

wvParticipant“teams overvalue the present and high first rounders” ?
wvParticipant
wvParticipantRegarding the vid up there, showing players downing-punts inside the two yard line. This is a pet-peeve of mine. I ab-so-fucking-lutely HATE it when special teams botch this play. Its just not that hard a play to make. And it can be a huge play. And players botch it all the time.
And i dont understand why.

wvParticipantYeah, great defenses. Sigh.
1972 – Merlin Olsen, Larry Brooks, Coy Bacon, Jack Youngblood. Not bad.w
v
wvParticipantI think the Chargers had the better Uniforms in this one. Sad to say it, but i have to be honest.
I blame the offensive coordinator and Carroll Rosenbloom.
w
v
wvParticipantI wonder if D.Adams would have come to LA, had he known about this situation.
w
v
wvParticipantIt’s only one game, but in my opinion, Bennett looked like a good NFL backup. It was his apparent confidence/decisiveness that does it for me. If he looks the same that for two more games then he makes his case to be a number two quarterback in this league. If they keep him on the team this year I think it gives them additional options for next year.
I dunno. I just dont see any top-notch physical tools. His release isnt lightning fast, he’s not particularly quick, his arm talent just looks average…. I dunno. I guess McVay knows what he’s doing. Hard for me to fathom that SB is the best they can find.
w
v
wvParticipantI liked what i saw from the RB, Schrader. I’m not a believer in Corum. I will have to keep my eye on Schrader.
Stetson made one impressive throw, but other than that, I wasnt impressed. I mean, he did fine, but i still dont know why he’s on the team. I dont think he’s very good.
I thought the OLine was the actual story of the game. Played well.
Dallas did not look good in that game. I’m not sure why.
w
v
wvParticipantPaul Thomas Anderson. Dunno if it will be any good, but its Paul Thomas Anderson.
wvParticipantThe Baker vid is a classic.
Its interesting how many players have praised McVay. It just seems to be a consensus among NFL players that he’s a great guy to work with.
And then….there’s the Goff thing. Multiple truths, as Rodrique likes to say.
w
v
wvParticipantI am alarmed.
The combination of Stafford’s condition, and the OLine issues (and playing the Texans and Eagles defenses early) just spell D-O-O-M to me. I dont think optimism is reasonable at this point.

wvParticipant…if nothing else its worth listening to 5 minutes or so, starting around the 32 minute mark of that ‘Insane’ vid. Ya got Bannon yakking about the playbook that was developed back in 1905…
wvParticipant…i wonder about this all the time. This point here at about the 24 minute mark, or so. That America is so full of layers and layers of propaganda, PR, Advertising, Lies, that the most sensible default-state to be in is: insanity.
wvParticipantI watched that, too. Luna is ornery.
“…She is the translator of Curriculum of the Basic Principles of Marxism-Leninism Part 1, a Vietnamese university textbook on Marxism-Leninism for students not majoring in Marxism-Leninism.
… In 2019, Luna Oi claimed that what she really wanted was anarchism, with “[Marxism-Leninism] during the revolution time”…”
