ParticipantAt 3-3 in the NFC West the rams are “in a good spot,”
unfortunately they also have too many fatal flaws to be serious contenders for a Ring.
Pass-Rush, OLine, WR, RB — too long a list.
Some of that will improve, but not enough of it.
And god help them if Stafford or Kupp go down.

ParticipantI thought the difference in the Chief-Buffalo game this time around was Von Miller.

ParticipantAs bad as Noteboom has been, is it an overall plus or minus that he’s gone?
wv
ParticipantAnother pick-6. Teams dont usually overcome pick-6s.
A broken team beat a bad team.
I’ll take it.

I believe WVU is still the “no.1 party school”

ParticipantMan. We knew losing Whitworth was gonna be problematic but Noteboom has never played ‘this’ bad, has he? Wtf.

ParticipantIt’s not an entirely fair or valid comparison because in 2007, while their OL was damaged early and often, the Rams could still run the ball with Jackson in most of the first 5 games. In their first 5 games of 2007, the Rams had 458 yards rushing, including 2 100+ yard games, with an average of 90.9 yards per game. Jackson just made a difference, you had to defend him no matter what, so there was less pressure by a certain small percentage. In 2022, it’s 312 yards rushing in 5 games, or an avg. of 62.5 yards per game. That of course means a bit more pressure. In 2022, teams, as we know and can clearly see, can afford to play pass first against the Rams without defending the run the way you would if they had an in-his-prime Jackson. That basically averages out to 2.4 more pressures per game in 2022 as opposed to 2007, fwiw.

So, yer saying McVay is just a figure-head then?

Participant“The Rams’ 84 pressures given up through five weeks is their most in the PFF-era. Closest was the 2007 Rams that allowed 72.”
I mean, what can ya say.

ParticipantLooks like another ugly loss to me. I cant pick the Rams to win against any team with a top 15 D-Line.

Participantone of Bill Burr's right-wing fans sends him an angry message asking him why he talked favorably about socialism in one of his shows. Here is his response: pic.twitter.com/JAwcFRU0vs

ParticipantMissed the game, and i dont wanna watch the low-lites.
Looks like the season depends on whether McV can patch together
a decent OLine.
I hate to see a great vet-QB battered all year. Not a good plan.

Participantskip to the bayless segment (cant believe i just typed that) and listen to him give
the percentages of black coaches and the positions they coach. Its like, 80 percent of RB coaches are black but 90 percent of QB coaches are white, etc.

ParticipantI picked the Lions to win their division. Just watched the hi-lites of their loss against the Vikings. Detroit had that game and totally blew it.
They are an exciting team. Only weakness Sunday was their run-defense.
Goff looked good. Still there is something about Goff’s pocket-presence that is not a match for Stafford. I cant quite even describe what i am talking about.

ParticipantOnly watched the highlights, but looked like the Rams were in control
the entire game.
A road win like that, against a division team — very nice.
A lot of good teams looked rather ordinary today.

ParticipantYou just know Kupp was more proud of that block than any pass he caught
wv
ParticipantMost surprising thing to me so far is the Bengals OLine. Its terrible so far.
They new it was their only weakness and they totally replaced the old OLine.
And it still sux.

ParticipantRams are still a ‘dangerous’ team. Thats what I’d call them at this point.
A danger to themselves and a danger to others.

ParticipantGotta say, its strange that you go out and get Russell Wilson, and there he is with a Fourth and Five, and…you kick a 64 yard FG.

ParticipantOrlovsky’s take was certainly interesting in that vid.
If the Rams were not ready to play….why not?

ParticipantI dunno about ‘rusty.’ Maybe. Just looked like the Oline was overpowered to me.
The two prior games Buffalo whipped the Rams defense, so that was nothing new.
Buffalo’s offense is just gonna do that, they are that good.
I think we all tend to wait about 3 or 4 games before we draw conclusions. Atlanta will be inter esting.

better than the Rams OLine.
