I haven’t decided if I like the OBJ signing or not yet…

    ==========

Ponder what happens if Kupp gets hurt down the stretch.
    Or Woods.

Sometimes the talking-heads talk about how the rams offense
is “loaded with talent” etc. But if you really take a look at it,
    it aint that loaded.

There’s a vid out there on utube, where one of the celebrity-idiots
talks about Jalen Ramsey talking to OBJ on the phone, and at one point
there’s a question as to whether the rams WRs would accept OBJ, and Jalen
carries the phone into the WR room, and asks the WR’s if they want OBJ,
and they all answer enthusiastically yes.

Who knows how true that is, or whether they were being sincere,
    etc, and so forth.

But I would think anybody would accept him if they knew
it was only for half a season.

Well, as long as there is no negative impact on the locker room, I’m fine with it..

    ====

Well, its just half of one season. How much damage could he do?

Took him years to stir shit in Cleveland.

The Rams seem to have some solid leaders. I think they can
handle OBJ. Plus, OBJ has a chance to win a Ring, and show
teams he can be a good team-mate. Its in HIS interest
to be a team-player for now.

Marcus Spears noted that the Stafford trade paid
“double dividends” because OBJ wanted to be with a great QB, etc.

To me, its real simple — is he, or is he not,
    better than van jefferson?

If he is better than VJ, then you sign OBJ.

Now, if you were a DC, would you rather face,
    Kupp, Woods and VJ,
    or
    Kupp, Woods, and OBJ ?

I’ll take OBJ over VJ any day.

Red and Yellow uniforms? Are you kidding me?

We’ve all been ram fans for ages, around here,
and no-one has ever unearthed ‘that’ fact before.

    Damn.

    Zine it.

Fwiw, Blue and White, (with white pants, of course) are

Same problem last year. There were a few times last year where the OL just got handled. I was saying all along that this year’s OL is better than last year’s…but they backslid. So who knows if it’s really better.

    ======

Yup. Same problem. But luckily they drafted Tutu instead
of an OLineman, so I am optimistic.

The rams did not ‘beat themselves.’ They were mauled.
    Just say that.

Yes, they made tons of ‘mistakes’ but they were forced
    mistakes.

Yeah, i was afraid that would happen – physical butt-kicking.

Could be a valuable learning experience, though. Could be
they just have trouble with a physical bullying team. We’ll see.

Lots of what happened is correctable. Whats not correctable is an
OLine that cant hold up to a defense like the Titans.

If they played again, I would not bet against the Rams,
but I still think it would be a very close game.

That was the part I was referring to in the beginning of my post. That’s all “lawyer speak.” He knew what the question was, and he evaded the answer on a language technicality, and gave an answer that he knew would be interpreted as “Yes, I am vaccinated.”

He can maybe get away with that in a court of law, but not in my personal estimation. He deliberately misled his audience to a false conclusion.

    ==========

    Oh yeah. He’s a weasel.
It will be interesting to see how he spins it
when next he talks to the peoples.

I still remember the late 60’s and 70’s. Back when football was
just about football. And we were all idiots.

Well, I’ve never gotten over the physical butt-kicking the
    Eddie-George-McNair-Fisher-Titans
put on Kurt Warner and the Rams back in that 1999 regular season
game. The comeback that fell short.

Seems like the Titans are always a physical, punishing, team.
And now they will rally around domestic-abuser Adrian Peterson.

I dont like it. Not sure the rams are tough enough for this.
    We’ll see.

But those clips (and I didn’t watch them all the way through) look to me like people who just don’t like Rogers personally, and are piling on.

I’ll bet if they liked Rogers personally, their opinions about this would be shaped differently.

Fwiw, in the 2nd clip, at the 6 minute mark, I think the dude
has an interesting take on it.

The Q phenomenon is quite simply, soul-crushing.

The coupling of the Libshits and the Q-shits
is…ineffable. In a bad way. What is a word for
“ineffable in a bad way” ?

Stafford has elevated the front office
to the point the rams now have Von Miller.

Von seems really…nice. I’d never heard him talk before.
    Easy player to root for.

I love that he mentioned the ‘fearsome foursome.’

    IF he’s healthy…IF…he’s healthy…Donald, Floyd, Von, Joseph-Day/Gaines…
…damn. Could be special. Fearsome. Its possible.

Since the rams special-teams-blockers cant block,
I do NOT want to see anymore skinny-scrawny-teeny-tiny youngsters
    returning kicks.

Forget the dreams of long returns, and just put a big strong
Cullen-Bryant-type of player back there and just
keep it simple: Catch ball, Two hands on Ball, Go straight ahead,
Fall down on contact, Give Ball to Stafford.

..impressive numbers, but there it just feels like there are loose parts. This team makes too many unforced errors to win it all.

Of course, there is still plenty of time, but looking at the next 5 games
… I think we will really see if the Rams are contenders or pretenders now.

    ==========

Yeah, the second-season starts next week. Its basically playoff-positioning season now. Dallas, Packers, Rams, Bucs, Cards. Probly one or two others.

I dont see a clear favorite yet. One of those teams is gonna be healthy
and hot, come playoff time. You can make a case for any of those teams,
and its ‘very’ close, but as of now, i think the Rams have a tiny edge.

Because of Stafford. Simple as that.

Terrible call against the Texans on that fourth down play,
when it was ten to zip.

Rams probly dont beat the spread
    if thats called correctly.

Texans are awful. Less said about this game the better.

    Next:
    Titans
    at SF
    at GB
    Jax
    at Ariz
