So its the Packers. In Green Bay. A well-rested, healed-up team.
With a Hall of Fame QB.

And the Packers certainly watched the Akers and the Rams game-plan
    against the Seahawks.

So, they WILL stop the run. They’d have to be crazy
not to commit everything to that.

    Packers 24
    Rams 13

Would it shock me if the Rams defense rose up and
smacked down Aaron Rogers, and the Rams offense
clicked and the Rams took down the Packers?

    Yes, it would shock me.

    When’s the draft?

There’s a mixed take on the Capitol police. In some vids they are virtually compliant. In others they are directly under attack by the mob (to the point where 2 have died so far). It almost depends on what part of the building they’re being filmed. In some places, they are under assault; in others, they are letting people in without hindrance.

Though even in the places where they are assaulted…I can’t help but imagine if the crowd were people of color. Can you imagine that in that situation the police would just passively let assaults on them happen? I can’t imagine a situation like that where the police wouldn’t use guns.

    =====================

Yeah, it was mixed. Some cops fighting the Trumpies, some cops helping the Trumpies, some cops probably totally confused as to what to do.

It will take a year or so to untangle and research it all. I’m sure Woodward is beginning his book on it, as we speak.

I dont have anything original to say about it. Its just how things are now.

    Fox News, Rightwing-Radio, Rightwing social-media, Q-anon, Evangelical-Religion
    coupled with
Capitalism, Inequality, Neoliberalism, Outsourcing Jobs, Opioids, etc
have spawned various shades of Trumpies. At one end of the Trumpie spectrum you have little old evangelical ladies like wv-mom. At the other end of the Trumpie spectrum you have the ProudBoys, Nazis, KKK, etc.

75 Million Trumpies. Probably a good 10 million on the Ultra-Right-Fascist end of the Trumpie-Spectrum.

Not enough for a Revolution, but enough for a lot more domestic terrorism
    in the coming decades.

The FBI will probably arrest a lot of them in the future, but
so many of them are already IN law enforcement, its a complex problem,
as we see in the Capital Police situation.

80 million neoliberal imperialist CIA-loving Bidenites.
    75 million rightwing-soft-and-hard-fascist Trumpies.

    And about 1 million leftists.

    Interesting times ahead.

    Portugal calls.

    link:https://www.nfl.com/news/x-rays-negative-on-aaron-donald-s-ribs-rams-dt-to-have-mri-sunday

The Los Angeles Rams received some positive news regarding All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported Sunday on NFL GameDay Morning that initial X-rays on Donald’s injured ribs came back negative for a break, per sources informed of the situation. The defensive tackle will undergo an MRI today to determine the extent of the injury.

Garafolo added that Donald could have re-entered the game late if needed in the 30-20 win over Seattle on Saturday.

Donald exited the tilt early in the third quarter after slinging Russell Wilson to the ground. The two-time Defensive Player of the Year hurt his ribs rolling over Wilson and appeared to have trouble breathing on the sideline. Donald took multiple trips to the locker room. He ended the game on the sideline but didn’t re-enter the match as the Rams pulled away with the win.

Coach Sean McVay told Garafolo he’s “hopeful” Donald will be ready for the Divisional Round.

“This guy is an absolute machine,” he said. “Never bet against AD.”

The Rams await the outcome of today’s New Orleans Saints-Chicago Bears bout to ascertain who they will face next weekend. If the Saints win, L.A. will face the No. 1 seeded Green Bay Packers. If the Bears pull the upset, the Rams will fly to Tampa to face Tom Brady and the Buccaneers.

once again, the Rams failed to take care of business in Seattle.
Yes, the Rams won the game, and afterwards the Seahawks players limped off the field battered, beaten, dejected…but alive.

    That’s right. They still live.
Will this team ever put together a complete game?

Watched it. An ugly game. Lots of mistakes
    by both teams.

Robert Woods, wide open with lots of space
and it goes right thru his hands. Etc.

Lots of credit to Goff. Playin without a thumb.
From one of those comments i read,
Sounds like he was playin a little angry, too.
    Good win for Jared.

Where is the weakness on this defense?
Certainly not the secondary. Best secondary
the rams have ever had, i would guess.
Anyone think of a better one?

Dline? Has there been a deeper DLine? No.
Has there been a better one?
Well, sure but you have to go back
    a long way.

    Linebackers? I dunno. Sandwiched
by greatness, they look purty good.

Aaron Donald is so much fun, that i dont
wanna think of watching a game where
    he’s on the sideline.

Akers is growing on me. But, I keep looking for something
‘special’ with Akers. And i never see it. He’s no
Faulk, no Steven, no ED. I dont even see a McCutcheon.
But there he is getting tough yards, play after play.
Maybe he’s Willie Ellison, i dunno.
    What is he special at?

That pick6 was one of the best pick6’s Ive ever
seen. Holy shit, that was fun.
The only one better i can think of was
    Isaiah Robertson’s against Sonny Jurgenson.

I cant believe that was the first game
without a rams-turnover. Boggles the mind.

I’ve picked against the Rams more this year
than any i can remember. I just dont believe
in the offense. So, whoever they play next
week, with or without Donald, I’ll be
pickin against them. I expect things
to come apart next week. Still…theres
    that defense.

    Saw the hi-lites.
Great playoff win against Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson.

Look forward to watchin it tomorrow.

So, i guess everything depends on
whether Aaron Donald is ok, or not.

Biden a socialist? I have conservative friends tell me that. And a few are not dumb. I watch interviews of these anarchists in D.C. and its like ” we won’t let Biden turn this country into “socialism”. Then I come here and its like Biden is no different than a free market capitalist.

It is no wonder to me that, from a political standpoint, we are so far apart in our views. You guys here must laugh when you hear Trump supporters yell about Biden and his band of socialists.

I just can’t figure this stuff out anymore.

    ===

Well, for starters, anyone who calls the Rightwing-fascists, ‘anarchists’
probably needs to read a little about anarchism.

But, yes, I always laugh when i hear Trumpies
    calling Biden/Obama/Clinton a ‘socialist.’

But thats how it is, in the merry old land of Oz.

He’s the best Rams corner I’ve ever seen,
I think. And so physical and fierce.

I mean they just dont even try him much.
We only get to see him during the opposition’s
    runs.

What other Ram CB has even come close?
Aeneas I guess, but he was a ram late in his career,
and i just tend to think of him as a ram safety.

I watched the livestreams on youtube prettymuch that whole day.
Bounced around from the networks to pbs.

Its the most ive watched tv-news in a long time. Probaly about ten hours straight.

I’d forgotten how disgusting-cloying-infantile the corporate news is.

“Hallowed” halls, “Sacred” building, etc etc etc.

    The Rightwing-Fascists invaded
    the Neoliberal-Imperialist house.

The only change i see coming during the Biden years,
is there will be even more emphasis on ‘security’.

    10-6.
I think maybe thats underachieving just a bit.
Losing to the Jets, taints this season for me.
After the great game against the Pats,
you have to come out and drill the Jets.
Something is wrong with a team that blows
    that Jets game.

So, think they underachieved. Still Ten wins
    is a good season.
    A pandemic playoff season.

I dont expect a playoff run.

Its all about the OLine, in a situation like this.
The defense should be ok, but the cards are gonna
take away the run. Their gonna force the kid
    to make pocket-decisions and execute.

As I understand it, this kid can run.
If was me, I’d let him run like crazy.
Designed runs, run-pass options, that kinda thing.
Wouldnt work over the course of a season,
    but in one game…
