    Aikman mentioned, in the 2nd quarter, after a Pat DLineman came close to snagging Goff — that Goff sometimes seems oblivious to oncoming rushers.

    Thats how it seems to me, too. Maybe a lack of peripheral-vision or somethin. I dunno. I thought the same thing about Bradford.

    Agree, disagree?

    Just seems like Russell Wilson has a sixth sense about rushers. Yeah they can get him, but they dont ‘surprise’ him. Seems like Goff is ‘surprised’ more than the elite-QBs. But i dunno.

    Well, they beat Brady,
    and they beat Belichex.

    Saw the highlights. McVay did the right thing. Pound the F’ing ball.

    That had to be the OLine’s best and most satisfying game,
    in a long long time.

    Looked like Belichex took away Goff’s favorite little screens and short passes.
    Dared em to run.

    ==============
    “Goff had a difference of 0.93 EPA per play when pressured versus not pressured. That was the second-highest difference of any starting quarterback, behind only the Raiders’ Derek Carr. Said more simply: He goes from being the ninth-best quarterback in the league without pressure to 29th with pressure.

    ==============

    He’s an odd-one, that Goff. I dont think we’ve ever seen one quite like him.
    He’s a ‘high-variance’ QB.

    He’s made throws on a regular basis that are just beautiful. Needle-threaders.
    Perfectly placed in tight-windows. All over the field. And on the move.

    And then there’s those other times.

    I really dont know what to make of it. Never seen anything quite like it before.

    The best thing he has going for him is he’s such a hard worker and committed to being the best. And then there’s McVay who knows him better than anyone. So McVay tries to play to his strengths.

    And now we got the evil-genius coming to town. They coach who made Goff look awful in the super bowl.

    Interesting QB. Interesting game.

    Anybody watched that Undefeated team?

    I have no idea if the Steelers are some sorta covid-mirage, or if they are then next
    67 Packers.

    Why are they winning?

    Damn. Belichick vs McVay. I dunno.

    Normally, i would just go with Belichick, hands down. But this Staley defense is capable of winning games. If the offense doesnt lose it.

    Very interesting game. Its basically a playoff game for the Pats.

    I believe in the Rams Defense, but i dont believe in their offense so much. The two games against Shannahan kilt my faith in the offense.

    I’ll go with Aaron Donald and Staley, just cuz I’m a ram-fan:

    Rams 17
    Pats 16

    I’ve noticed when the Rams are good,
    they are good.
    And when they are bad,
    they are bad.

    Thats what I’ve noticed.

    Kurt Warner was on NFL Network today and was asked about Goff and his struggles…..he said Goff is a very solid starter in the NFL who has already proven he can be very good, but people got to stop trying to compare him to other QB’s who could carry a team to a Super Bowl….he said there is only a handful of them that could do that throughout the history of the NFL

    =====

    I think thats about right.

    But I also think he’s been making too many bonehead plays lately.

    The fumble by Goff at the end of his run was dreadful. Just dreadful. I totally understand McVay’s reaction after the game.

    I dont like to pile on Goff, but that play alone gives him an “F” for that game.
    That was one of the worst plays I’ve seen a Ram QB make. Ever.
    I still cant believe that one.

    Goff can still have a good year. The NFC does not have a dominant team.

    Saw the low-lights. They could probably play ten times in a row and there wouldnt be much variation in the games. 49ers just matchup well against the Rams, as zn pointed out. And Shannahan seems to have the answers to McV’s offense.

    Obviously, Goff made some bonehead plays. I dunno what to say about that. Has he hit his celing? In a slump? Pressing?

    Bad loss.

    I’ve just seen something horrible. The viking have new uniforms. They are a travesty. Bud Grant is turning over in his cold grave.

    What would happen if the Vikings wore these uniforms and the Rams wore their travesty-blue uniforms? What would happen?

    2020, man.
