Ha! One of my favorite movies of all time.

Right up there with Dune, Brazil, Liquid Sky and Wild at Heart.

    Acid isn’t for everybody, though…

RIP, Eastern Cougars. While I think it would be neat to still have large cats here in CT (especially with how many deer we now have everywhere), the thought of having to worry about an 80 lb feline jumping out of a tree onto my back as I bring my recyclables to the curb is terrifying.

Maybe if I had a Bowie Knife or a six shooter with me, I’d feel better, but I’m sure the record shows that even before we eradicated the big cats from New England, there were few to zero attacks of cougars on humans.

    I’m conficted here…

Billy, in the first post you stated you have a current health situation. Are you OK? If you don’t want to discuss, I totally understand, but just know that you have lots of folks here pulling for you.

    Love, Matt

My department is being audited on Super Bowl Monday. I have to be there by 8:30AM for the opening session. I was going to stay home in Newtown and then leave very early in the morning Monday, but now the forecast is for PM rain followed by freezing conditions overnight.

I may drive up to North Shore Sunday afternoon to avoid a messy 3 hr commute Monday morning.

That means I may watch the Super Bowl in a bar full of Pats fans. If things get out of hand, I can always retreat to my hotel room…

I heard Spags interviewed this afternoon. He stated that during the last Eagles – Pats Super Bowl, Eagles DC Jim Johnson told the other coaches he thought the Pats were stealing his signs.

Spags stated he didn’t think it was cheating, since there are no rules against it, and anybody smart enough to do it does.

I agree we should sign Watkins, even if it is the Franchise tag.

I think he will be more on the same page with Goff with a full off season / training camp. Plus, I think he’s a good influence on the younger kids.

Plus, I think he wants to be here and can erupt as the #1 receiver we haven’t had in forever and at the same time make Gurley that much more effective.

    Hmmm.

I thought it was going to be Patricia to the Giants. I thought he was offered the Detroit job, but was waiting to hear from the Giants because that was where he wanted to go.

I wonder if the Giants will keep Spags as DC…

Welcome back! You have been sorely missed.

So if you don’t know yet, the Rams lost to the Falcons.

On a brighter note, North Korea will be sending a team to the Winter Olympics…

At least my baseball team is the front runner. World Series or bust for the Yankees this year. I may do opening day.

Agreed. Rather play the Falcants than the Panthers.

If I could tell the future, I’d say Rams win, beat the Vikings the next week, Saints win, beat the Eagles the next week, NFC Conference Championship at LA… Who knows from there.

Ha! ZN, our posts must have crossed.

If and when the Eagles lose in this year’s playoff’s, they are going to blame the Rams.

Jack, you are right, but you got the order wrong.

Rams beat the Eagles in the “Fog Bowl”.

Rams beat the Giants in the “Flipper runs down the tunnel Bowl”.

Then Rams lose to SF in the “Phantom Sack Bowl”….

I converse with a group of Philly fans on a weekly basis. They work for a large multi-national and the discussion centers around electronic components for use in satellites, but we do at times discuss sports, especially after Wentz’ injury (they know I’m a Rams fan).

Their overall feeling was something like that was just bound to happen, because, well, it’s the Eagles. They have had their hearts broken, dare I say it, even more than Ram’s fans. At least in the last 30 years. I say that because they have had some very good teams that just never made it over the hump to win a Super Bowl.

The Rams added to their misery in the past; remember the “Fog Bowl”? And we just so happened to be the team they were playing when there QB got KO’d.

They have got the Mel Brooks “Hope for the best, expect the worst” mentality. I understand why they think the Rams are tanking to get another shot at them again; it’s just in their make-up. I’m sure most of them have already written off a chance to get to the Super Bowl, now they are looking for the justification.

Kind of a damned if you do, damned if you don’t scenario. I’d like to see them run the same O and try and highlight Mannion. Hey, if he really plays good, we may get a decent draft pick for him.

I want a smack down in the first half. Then take the starters our. Whether or not we win is not important; the fat that we beat them down in the 1st half will set the tone for next year (when the 9ers may be our toughest division rival).

I like the 4th seed better and here is why: If things go according to plan (home teams winning in the wildcard round), the 3rd seed plays the Vikings, the 4th seed plays the Eagles.

Who would you rather play? Me, I’d rather play Nick Foles and the Eagles.

The flipside being, if we stay at 3 and beat the Vikings and the Saints or whoever beat the Eagles, we’d get the NFC Championship Game at home in LA.

    Would still rather be 4…

3rd Seed? I’m so in. I was hoping / dreaming of a Wild Card this year. The fact that we are getting a home playoff game puts them well ahead of where I thought we’d be.

House money from here on out.

I agree next week is a MUST WIN.

I disagree on the TJ call; he CAN’T do that shit and allow the refs the option to throw that flag. I think we lost the game right there and then.

BTW, I blame Fisher and Williams for these lapses in control. You don’t see the Patriots D doing this type of crap (Gronk is another story).

Jack, I do agree that Stokley has a great voice and the tune has a nice beat, but it just isn’t my cup of tea (where’s the brooding?).

Nittany…I can’t take kids seriously as musicians. I mean, do you think she even knows how to roll a joint? I don’t think so.

ZN, your video is missing something huge. His name is Roger Waters. (I’m being a hypocrite here because I did go and see the Waters-less Division Bell tour, but after seeing Roger do The Wall a few years back and again on tour this year, there is no doubt in my mind that Roger rules).
