I know right? If I would just have followed the camp reports, my post wouldn’t have taken the path of that ugly visual of Stan Kroenke and Jerry Jones sword fighting with their big stadiums as phallic symbols! 😉 LOL

Now off to read some Rams first day of camp reports to get my mind right! 🙂

I agree wv, that Georgia and Stan are polar opposites in 99.9 percent in about who they are. But both had/have a love of money. Georgia in a “gold digger” way, devoid of any true capitalistic skills to earn her fortune other than marrying Carrol R. and surrounding herself with lawyers and accountants. Stan on the other hand is corporate america incarnate! Don’t let that hokey, “I am from the midwest” fool you, the only loyalty he has is to making loads and loads of cash. He and his wife (of the Walton family) are top of the food chain corporate billionare capitalists loyal to the accumulation of money. Sadly, St.Louis fans will see that reality in the next couple years.

Guys like silent Stan don’t get to where they are by being satisfied with status quo and middle of the pack status among the NFL’s billionaire club having a franchise in St.Louis. That club is a paternalistic good ole boy network where each owner’s team is an extention of his/their manhood. No amount of financial “Viagra” from St.Louis is going to make up for the “Big Stick” Stan will have once he moves the Rams to LA.

Question is: Who is gonna win the sword fight between him and Jerry Jones for biggest stick?! 😉 LOL

Hmmmm invasion of the Motorcycles eh Wv? Something tells me that those hoards won’t be drinking tea and visiting the libraries! 😉

The reason the Rams will move to LA is the same reason they moved to St Louis – $$MONEY$$

Georgia, at the time, moved the Rams to St.Louis for what was a extremely lucrative deal for her and basically a one sided deal that favored her and the Rams. St.Louis, not so much. $$MONEY$$ All profit for her.

Stan, let’s not forget, is a big time business man. In the top of the top when it comes to making money in this country. It’s all about money for him. It’s not about a loyalty to a city or area of the country. He’s sees what is the big prize of the NFL in the future – and it’s a franchise in LA. No way he passes up that opportunity when he is positioned perfectly to make that move. Big time $$MONEY$$ awaits Stan in LA and in it’s diverse income revenue streams.

If the Rams stay healthy, and play more disciplined penalty and turnover wise, I see the overall talent taking them to a 11-5 record. However, if they get hit by the injury bug, remain kinda undisciplined, and the talent doesn’t take off as it should, they could be a 7-9 team again.

That being said. I feel, as Wv feels – 11-5 baby! Also NFL surprise team of the year by winning the toughest division in football – NFC West!

As a longtime Rams fan, since 1969, I have seen this movie before. This is shaping up eerily similar to what happened some 20 years ago with our team. I would be more suprised if the Rams stayed in St.Louis than for them to move to LA. Stan wants, IMO, what would be the new jewel of the NFL – a franchise in LA, with the Rams playing in a new super stadium like the Cowboys’ stadium. It’s too prestigious, too lucritive and to tempting for Stan not to be at the epicenter of the that, IMO.

I think it will be the LA Rams no later than 2016. But would not be surprised if it was 2015, because no owner wants to play out a full season in a what would be disasterous attendence by a rightfully upset and jilted fan base.

Found you guys. Any time the Buzz went down, I came here just in case someone would post what happened.

I’m a little shocked at what happened. I don’t think I was away from the Buzz that long. When did Oz take it down? No warning? Nothing? Geez. I am thankful for what we had there.

RM, you are a saint for doing this. Seriously. Don’t be surprised if the Pope contacts you. He won’t even care if you’re Catholic. Sainthood awaits.

I agree. RM has always been someone that I have the utmost respect for and thankful for giving us a home back when we were cast adrift and now with The Huddle-Mach II. Thanks RM!

I think its a special group too.

This site is not as user-friendly as the buzz-board,
but i have learned its the posters that make a board,
    not the bells-and-whistles.

I agree Wv. For me it’s the quality and the various personalities of posters that make a forum special or not. We have all been pretty blessed with a great group that has been together for a good part of 15 years or so.

Good to be back at the Huddle! We Nomads need a sense of community don’t we? 😉

The Mighty Quinn is so freakishly good. I am excited to see what he has in store for us with Williams as DC and the additions to the DL. Gonna be a fun season my Friends!
