JackPMillerParticipant
I feel like the guys we have with Bobby Evans, Joseph Noteboom, Brando, Allen, & Rob Havenstein are the future. Then we just need to get a Right Guard. But these guys are going through growing pains. Even though Evans has been on the inactive lists, but he is going to be out LT or LG, with Noteboom taking the other spot. Allen, is our Center for years to come. Just my guess
JackPMillerParticipantOur run D struggled, & had too many open WRs in the zone. Again, we need to protect the ball. 2 tunovers, one from Gurley, but I can’t blame the INT on Goff, should have been a catch on Everett, but the Seattle DB, Thompson did make a great catch on it though as well. Not used to Legatron missing chip shot field goals like that, especially if they are game winners. It is starting to feel, it could be one of those seasons, a season that nothing goes right, and it could be a losing season or we could be an 8-8 to 9-7 type team right now. Just feels like that right now.
JackPMillerParticipantJackPMillerParticipantWe sucked. We lost to a bad football team, and it is embarrassing. I hope this is a wake up call. We better play better than this on Thursday.
September 26, 2019 at 10:07 pm in reply to: media folk & posters set up Tampa game & Rams v. Suh #105749JackPMillerParticipantIf the NY Giants can beat the Bucs, & being in Tampa, then we should blow the Bucs out.
JackPMillerParticipantOne thing we have that the Seahawks & Jets don’t have are the leaders on the Defense. Nothing against what they have, but Aaron Donald, Clay Matthews, & Aquib Talib are the guys will keep him in line. If he is not in line, if not, these guys will kick Polities behind. Clay Matthews, for example may have that Fabio look of the 80’s (or was it the 90’s?), but he can turn into the Hulk real quick.

Jachai Polite
Overview
Just one year of big-time production, but he’s an instinctive rusher with natural feel for attacking the pocket. Polite’s frightening speed to the edge on tape was missing in his pre-draft workouts as he showed up much heavier and with purported hamstring issues during all of his testing. The game tape shows an ability to rush the pocket with a fluid, diverse attack, but he might not have the grit necessary to play the run as a 3-4 outside linebacker on early downs. His troubling post-season that included bad combine interviews, bad workouts and additional weight around the midsection has substantially clouded his draft standing into the boom-or-bust category.
Strengths
* Pass-rush attack is instinctive and diverse
* Blazing get-off sets the table for success
* Fluid movement with loose hips and fast feet
* Bendy and flexible to flip his hips and trim the edge
* Able to stack rush moves on top of each other to build momentum
* Explosive burst to finish the quarterback
* Deft transition from speed rush into long-arm stab counter
* Spin move is lurking as unstoppable weapon with work
* Intimidating closing burst in pursuit of the ball
* Athletic ability to sink and shift directions to as tackler
* Pursuit speed is impressive
* Really fast when chasing the rock
* Ability to slip blocks and access edge in run game
* No fear in mixing it up at point of attackWeaknesses
* Dropped weight for added quickness but lost some strength
* Needs to hit the weights and the steaks for NFL mass
* Might need to begin career as designated rusher only
* Ducks head into initial contact
* Not a thumper when plugging pulling guards
* Swallowed by tacklers with strong grips
* Below-average strength to shed and tackle
* Needs to add more pop in his hands
* Hands lack power to chop/swipe and deaden the edge
* Struggles to fight through redirection at the turn
* Scouts are concerned about maturity and character- This reply was modified 5 years, 2 months ago by JackPMiller.
September 25, 2019 at 7:16 pm in reply to: RAMS TV Map for game 4 & informal poll — will the Rams get untracked v. Tampa? #105670JackPMillerParticipantMy area has Washington @ Giants. Yikes. No one watching that, unless you are a fan of those teams. I’ve stated, I will not watch a game that features the Giants or Skins on it, meaning Sunday night, Monday night, or Thursday night. Tired of the NFC East love, especially when they have crappy teams. But they get shown a lot.
JackPMillerParticipantPolite has major talent, it is not only getting him in shape, but also hoping this kid will mature as well. If somehow Polite can workout for us, then Edge rusher becomes less of a need.
JackPMillerParticipant* OLine was struggling.
* Jared Goff was inconsistent with his reads.
* Secondary was struggling most of the night as well.In my words, we stunk, but won. Sad thing is, this was the third game of the year, & we have not played a good game yet, even though we are 3-0. Hard to explain.

September 19, 2019 at 1:33 pm in reply to: Do the Rams stand a chance against mighty Cleveland? #105306JackPMillerParticipantIf the Rams don’t win this game by at least two touchdowns, then that’s a signal to light the torches and march on Castle Kroenke.
It’s bad enough that Vegas slapped the Rams and their fans across the face with that minuscule “3 point favorite” crap.
But to not win handily against a team with a QB named “Baker Mayfield”?…there are no words.
Come on. When you hear Baker, you just want a raspberry cheesecake, don’t ya? We know it.
September 19, 2019 at 1:32 am in reply to: Do the Rams stand a chance against mighty Cleveland? #105299JackPMillerParticipantI feel the OLine is the key. We have have struggled a bit the first two games. Hopefully, we will be better against the Browns. Also, the Browns OLine is a mess as well. I feel, we should beat them soundly, Rams 31 – Browns 13, because I feel Cleveland will take a couple of weeks to gel. After they lose to us & Baltimore, they will lose to New England & go on to a lot better.
JackPMillerParticipantReportedly the entire Browns OL is a mess.
excellent.
The Browns DLine & secondary scares me a bit. Their LBs, not too much. Our OLine has not played well either.
JackPMillerParticipantReally? LOL. Does anybody trust Fox News? Jeesh.
JackPMillerParticipant* Gave up too many big plays to McCaffery
* Upset about the miss field goal.
* Wished Gurley would have gotten one more rush, instead of taking a knee to get 100 yards. Gurley finished with 97 yards.I’m starting to wonder if we need to start thinking about drafting a new PK for the future. Legatron just feels like he is not the same guy he used to be.

JackPMillerParticipantThey’re only going to get so many extensions before they run out of big contract slots.
In that light I would prefer they didn’t extend Peters or Littleton (and I like Littleton a lot).
We know Howard is in the background. Rams reportedly just love him. He would fit the Littleton spot. And not only are the Rams deep at DB, for years now they’ve been very good at acquiring DBs. This goes way back. In 2012 they drafted both Jenkins and Johnson and signed McCleod as a udfa the same year. That’s 3 starters in one draft year. They’ve been good since then too of course. So to me, the possibility of losing both Peters and Talib is not so daunting. I think they can develop players they have and add more.
So seen that way, why spend big contracts on those 2 players? Not that they’re not worth it (I believe Peters will have a good year this season). But you can’t sign everyone. If you believe they can get DBs and LBs (and/or may already have some) it’s more cost effective.
Just an opinion.
I would not have signed either Higbee, Littlejohn, or Peters either. I believe, the Rams trying to extend Littlejohn is more due to Micah Kiser, and his durability. I think they may have thought about letting CL walk or trade him somehow, and replacing him with Kiser, but that didn’t happen. Unfortunately I believe that is they had to let go Kiser.

JackPMillerParticipantDid not know the practice squad is now up to 10 players. Interesting.
I believe this is how the PS could could go.
Brian Allen
Abdul Beecham(I believe he was told he will be on the PS)
One of the TE’s we cut
Matt Kaskey
Bryant Jones or Boogie Roberts
One of the WRs we cut
One of the DBs we cut
The others will come from other teams.JackPMillerParticipant- This reply was modified 5 years, 3 months ago by JackPMiller.
JackPMillerParticipantJackPMillerParticipantSomeone just pointed out a mistake. It is supposed to be the Saints over the Seahawks in the Divisional Round, not the Falcons. Again, I can’t fix it.
JackPMillerParticipantIt is supposed to be the Atlanta Falcons losing in the NFC Title game. I typed it fast, & just took noticed, and can’t fix it.
JackPMillerParticipantIt would be great if you can clean the inside of the books as well? They have discoloration as well. I mean each page, without the words. If the can figure that out, we got something.
JackPMillerParticipantJackPMillerParticipantGuess now we have to say in the Christmas song, “GMO Chestnuts on an Fire, Jack Frost cracking at your nose.”
