All we got left is to hire a Special Teams Coordinator. We have to make sure he is a great fit with the Long Snapper. Everything on special teams starts with the Long Snapper. He is the center of the Universe where everyone converges on him. If the STC & LS don’t get on the same page, then everything goes to hell on punts & extra points.

I don’t remember, but if they Rams could get a young Special Teams Coordinator, then we could have a new band. They are young enough to be a Rap group. I wonder what their names would be? Hmmm. Again, we have to see who we hire as our new Special Teams Coach.

Derrick Henry is a beast. The Titans had the perfect game plan for Lamar Jackson, & the Ravens just could not make the adjustments. The schemes confused Jackson as well.

One player to keep an eye on is Rashard Lawrence NT LSU, he is listed at 6’3″ 317. Would not be should if he added a little bit of weight, as in muscle, before the draft. Could be a nice 2nd round pick for us.

Only one road team wins, and that is Seattle. Tennesssee & Baltimore may be closer than expected do to their run game, but the Ravens run away with it in the 4th. 9ers, Cheifs, & Seahawks just have opponents that are too easy for them. And will win in routs.

So now who do we go for? Fassel will be hard to replace.

rams may have been dropping some hints this year on the new team colors.

Are the Rams subtly teasing their new color scheme for 2020?

i’m not so sure about this. have to see the uniform and more importantly the helmet first.

I agree. Whatever unis we get, it would be better to get the horns back on the shoulders. Add the logo in there

The DLine needs size. We are smallish. His most successful DLines had a few guys in the 320 or larger. We only had one, and he was always inactive. That being Greg Gaines. Plus, he needs a star studded pass rushing Edge Rusher, like a Von Miller.

Patriots lose to Miami. Cowboys get booted out of the playoffs. Vikings Lose. Rams finish with a winning season. Not a bad day.

    Now fix the damn OLine.

    w
    v

Tweak the defense. Need some size om both interior lines. Not enough big fat dudes. That means hovering around or just over 300. We are usually too smallish.

I believe Gurley will be here for two more seasons, & Havenstein for one more. He gives us a vet at Right Tackle. Unless they have another option, & durability is a question, but Legatron is a good K. I don’t see anyone else. Blythe may get a one year deal, just hovering a million. That probably will be a starting Center.

We will see a lot of young players. They will get opportunities. I would not be shocked if Bortles plays in this game to showcase his talents, and see if he is worth keeping. In other words, I would not be shocked if Rams care about winning this game as much, so they can get a better pick in the 2nd & 3rd rounds.

The season is over, if this game meant anything, Ramsey is on the field.

Based on their contracts, we are stuck with Cooks & Gurley for two more seasons, Havenstein is one more. Don’t have the cap space to sign neither Fowler nor Littleton. One option is to tag one of them, & let the other walk, or let both walk.

Jack they have the cap space to sign one of them (Littleton or Fowler).

And if Hav is traded or let go in the 2020 off-season he would represent some cap savings.

I just saw it is minor, $850K.

I think Ramsey brings some juice to the team.

I think Weddle stays another year and the coach on the field is worth what we lost.

I think we have some good younglings on the Oline. Need to draft two more this year.

I think Gurley May never regain his step. Small possibility the knee really didn’t hurt much this year and he’ll be stronger next year. My money is he is only on the team two more years until his cap hit comes down.

I think we can upgrade from Cooks. Might have to keep him another year until the cap hit comes down.

I think McVay does need an OC.

I think it likely it is time for Wade to retire.

I think they should keep Fowler if there is any way to do it.

I think the team is close and will be competitive next year. Need a few tweaks and some renewed energy.

We may have to struggle anther season or two, because of our cap, & have to think what players stay or go. We don’t have much in draft capital either.

Even if we win, there is no guarantee. We have to win two straight, the Vikings have to lose two straight, & both of those games for the Vikings are at home. One loss, or one Viking win, playoffs are over.

We may have some problems next year as well. We are stuck with Havenstein for one more season due to his contract. Based on their contracts, we are stuck with Cooks and Gurley for 2020 & 2021. I mean, if we cut, waive, or trade them, we lose more money.

I expect next year, or the next two years, like we had this year, where we will be either in or out of the playoffs, as a wildcard team. We have some tough decisions. Need to make some good money moves, & find some real good diamonds like Cory Littleton who was UDFA in 2016, in the draft.

Embarrassing performance. We played like dog doodie. It felt like we were looking past Dallas, to the 9ers game next week.

Season is over. We are not beating the 9ers next week, and the Vikings are not losing two straight home games either.

Hey. See the reply to your “hey zn” post: http://theramshuddle.com/topic/hey-zn/#post-109362

And, I hope there are no expansion teams. Watering the game down just to make a few more bucks? No thanks.

I read it. Thanks, I was worried there. With expansion, I’m not saying we will get expansion now, but who knows in 10 years or 20 years from now?

Chase Young Says ‘The Plan’ Is to Return To Ohio State for Senior Season

Despite his dominant 2019 season, Ohio State defensive end Chase Young doesn’t intend to go to the NFL quite yet.

Young is a potential No. 1 NFL draft pick and a finalist for the Heisman Trophy, which will be handed out Saturday night in New York City. TMZ Sports caught up with Young on Friday where he revealed he’s not going to enter the draft this year.

When asked if he’s returning to Ohio State for his senior season, Young responded, “That’s the plan.”

Young, a junior, leads the nation in sacks (16.5) and has 44 tackles, 21 for loss and seven forced fumbles this season. Earlier this week, he won the Chuck Bednarik Award given to the nation’s top defensive player. He was suspended for two games in November for violating NCAA rules but returned to set a new Ohio State single-season record for sacks against Penn State.

Young and his teammate Justin Fields are among the group of Heisman finalists along with LSU quarterback Joe Burrow and Oklahoma QB Jalen Hurts. If Young enters the draft, Burrow could be his greatest threat to being selected No. 1 overall.

Names I like probably won’t get that will be there for us to get what I feel will be in our area of value, not a reach.
Rashard Lawarence DT 6’3″ 317 LSU
Lucas Niang OT 6’7″ 328 TCU
Tedarrell Slaton DT 6’5 353 Florida
Ben Cleveland OG 6’6″ 340 Georgia
Jonah Jackson OG 6’7″ 340 OSU
Damien Lewis OG 6’3″ 325 LSU
    Carlos Davis DT/DE 6’2″ 328″ Nebraska

Some sleepers I love, and I wonder if the Rams scouts are keeping theirs on these guys,
Dajour Nesbeth CB 6’0″ 190 Tennessee State
    Andrew Dickinson OG 6’3″ 315 Findlay(Ohio) College.

I also considered Reid Sinnett QB 6’3″ 228 University of San Diego. That is to have a developmental QB on the roster. But he would be taken as a UDFA though.

Dante Fowler, Whitworth, Littleton, Brockers, Zuerlein, Austin Blythe,
    Hagar, Bortles, Marquis Christian.

Some important players on that list. Who will they lose?

Whitworth has hinted he is coming back. Of the remaining players you list, I see them keeping Littleton and Blythe. Possibly Zuerlein.

Whitworth & Blythe they need to let walk. We need to let Edwards, Noteboom, & Evans in the offense. Allen has to have his opportunity to grow into the center position. We still have Havenstein. We can still draft a big OG in the 3rd round, and we still have Austin Corbett who can play Guard & backup Center.
