i definitely hope you’re right and i’m wrong. because if he can overcome the hands issue. and if he can become the blocker that he says he’s willing to become. then he’s absolutely what i’ve been wanting and what higbee has become.

Because Gerald Everett will be a free agent in 2021 and Brycen Hopkins was too good a value for the team to pass up in the fourth round. He’s a good receiver with great athleticism for the position, much like Everett.

With Hopkins on the roster and Tyler Higbee already extended, it’s highly unlikely the Rams keep Everett past this season.

i wanted the rams to draft a tight end. but i don’t know about hopkins. i don’t like what i read about him.

and everett did not need to be re-signed even if the rams didn’t draft a tight end this year.

apparently he did have a pro day. didn’t list a 40 time or short shuttle. but supposedly a 35″ vertical and a 6.96 3-cone. i also included an interview which shows some highlights. wants to be a vet one day. what’s not to like?

and johnston too. he just exudes enthusiasm and passion. maybe he’s the inside linebacker the rams need.

i expect floyd to start. but i also expect to see plenty of lewis in the rotation along with williams. polite should be in the mix as well.

ebukam and okoronkwo have their work cut out for them. neither of them have really impressed me.

i find myself more interested in the defensive side of this draft. from burgess to lewis to johnston to williams to hoecht. there’s some real athleticism being added to that side. really excited to see what staley comes up with.

to have the speed and quickness this guy possesses with that size. definitely going to be looking out for him along with terrell lewis and jonah williams.

this guy. and terrell lewis. are the two prospects with the highest ceiling in this draft. at an important position. if these two can match athleticism with performance. wow. this defense would be something else.

looking at the video. with that build. he looks like he could play outside linebacker….

i’m intrigued. really. his explosion and speed and agility numbers are off the charts.

3-cone in the 6.8s? those numbers are outstanding.

then there’s the 35″ vertical. i’d say maybe even shave off some pounds and gain some more speed and quickness and flexibility? yeah. i could totally see him on the edge.
