jonah williams pro day

well. the vertical and the broad jump measure explosion. the 40 measures speed. i would like to know what his 10 yard split was. the last two measure agility and quickness.

to put those numbers in perspective. his numbers are on par with john johnson… who is 70 pounds lighter…

his numbers are better than chandler jones. across the board except for broad jump. whether that translates into the same kind of production remains to be seen. and chandler jones is long. 35″ arms. i can only guess what williams’ arm length is but i would guess at least 33″.

but you look at those numbers. better than robert quinn. joey bosa. if you had to build an edge rusher from scratch, williams (with the exception of arm length) fits the bill in every way.

i’m really curious what his arm length is. they look long in the video. if they are 34″. he’s got all the physical tools. then it’s just a question of if he has the mental makeup to be that dominant pass rusher.

wow. well i was pretty close. 33.5″ is long enough i would think. von miller has 33.5″ arms. jonah also measured in with 10 1/8″ hands.

mind you. jonah williams is doing this at 281 pounds. 35 pounds more than miller.

his numbers are right there with all of them. so while it doesn’t guarantee success, he does have the physical attributes to succeed at this level. it just comes down to if he has the mental attributes.

if he’s 2 years younger and went to an fbs school. he’s quite possibly a day 2 draft pick at least. instead he went on 2 year mission between high school and college and he is where he is now. just have this feeling about him.
