i want hill back. and i want the rams to draft a qb.

i think the rams need offensive line help and linebacker depth. beyond that my only real wish is that they get a solid quarterback. i think hill can be that guy. but i also want the rams to draft one for the future. preferably in the first round. although i would be VERY VERY happy if they drafted a blue chip guard/tackle in the first round and went qb in the second round.

i really like the way the offense is playing right now. nice mix of plays.

love the way the defense is playing. this is the dominant defense i was expecting to see.

but i agree with rfl. lots of mistakes yesterday that washington failed to capitalize on. years ago that would have been a loss but the rams won because they are that good. and washington is that bad. that’s good. but this team should expect more.

so what kind of team do we see on thursday? a team that truly is trying to find consistency and achieve excellence or a team that continues to fail to learn from their mistakes? i’ve seen enough to realize that this team is capable of having a winning record. no more moral victories. no more lessons to be learned for next season. i want to see a team that has put it all together. i want the rest of the league to take notice. so fisher put out the six picks for the coin toss yesterday? fine but i want that trade to REALLY mean something. i want this team to take that next step toward achieving greatness. i want that trade to be talked about for the next 50 years. and i think it could start with a win on thursday and the rams on their way to finishing with a WINNING record and a serious eye toward super bowl contention NEXT year.

ya know? so far that trade is only significant to two teams. the rams. and washington. that’s it. that’s not enough for me. i want this trade to matter to the whole league. and i want the league to feel it for years to come. dare i say i want this trade to be a part of nfl lore. the type of story fans hear about about but never witnessed personally. i’m excited.

if you subtract that 89 yards he had 13 carries for 28 yards. that doesn’t sit well with me either. that’s not consistent enough for me to feel good about the running attack as it is.

st louis police really should work on repairing their relationship with the community of ferguson. forget about who was right or wrong cuz there is most definitely a distrust of the police in the entire city of st louis that goes far beyond this incident.

or maybe they just don’t give a shit which is unfortunate.

haven’t watched the last 2 games, but it’s possible that we’re all witnessing a turning point for this team?

well i hope ogletree can take this as a learning experience and be better prepared next year. disappointing. it took half a season to get himself in shape? not happy.

i saw greg make one big blunder. he did not look happy. he’s going up against some really good defensive linemen.

i also liked what i saw of the safeties. gave up that one big play to sanders, but otherwise, they seemed to be all over the field.

wow. he seems pretty convinced the rams are moving to los angeles if kroenke gets his way.

i doubt he’ll even be ready to play by the beginning of next season. if he is, good on him. but that’s two tears of the same ligament in less than a year. he needs to be cut and signed for a lower number.

it’s good to see ogletree making plays again. i was getting worried for awhile.

so far he’s got 2 interceptions and 3 forced fumbles. just needs to be consistent with his tackling and not give up bone headed plays.

time of possession was key. hill had a lot to do with that and keeping the d fresh. especially in the second half!

yeah. very decisive win. unlike previous wins this season.

jameis scares me. i see a supremely talented qb who could easily implode once he’s given a big contract. seen it happen too many times.

i’m keen on hundley. my friend watches a lot of ucla football and while he doesn’t think he’ll be a superstar, he thinks he’s quite capable of being at least a very solid starting nfl qb.

undecided. frankly i’m surprised he hasn’t been better this season. i’m wondering if schottenheimer is using him correctly or if the qb problem has affected his play. maybe under hill things change a bit?

depends i think. as long kroenke remains majority owner fisher is safe. if he sells he’s gone.

what happens if the rams still lose with hill at qb? to put it all on davis and fisher’s decision to keep him as the starter for one extra week. i don’t know. a lot of other things were going wrong with this team besides those two things.

now doesn’t that make everyone feel better?

surprisingly i’m still very much excited about this team. even last sunday. the rams were in it until the fourth quarter. they were competitive and had chances to blow it wide open. obviously it went another way. but i just feel like they’re close. so i cling onto that.

i think it’s time to put hill back in.

rams need something to build on going into the offseason, and it’s clearly not happening with davis.

then. i think the rams have to pick a qb somewhere in the draft in the first three rounds. at least.

maybe. put hill back in as starter.

and if the rams can get tons of pressure on denver.

    plus they’re playing at home.

i see them going at least 3-4 the rest of the way.

shoot. maybe even hill is named the starter again, and the rams go 4-3.

although i have to say i think it was on the int return for a td… britt should have caught that. maybe a little on the high side, but it hit both his hands. he’s got to pull that one in. instead it goes up in the air and peterson runs in for an easy touchdown.

    silver lining?

i think the silver lining is that this team is only a legit qb from being a real contender.

so close. i thought for sure after the ogletree int that this team was going to ice the game. and then davis imploded.

that would be awesome. i hope he seizes the starting job over the second half of the season. and i hope those td passes are going to tavon and stedman!

yeah. i don’t think it’s an either or thing. just want to see the rams find a qb. i was on the bradford wagon but now i do not think he’s the answer anymore while i’m still undecided on davis.

i don’t know. fisher made it pretty clear davis was the starter going forward. i don’t think that means he’s not trying to win, but i do believe he needs to determine what exactly they have in davis.

or maybe davis sucks again next week, and they determine he’s not starting qb material…

i think the rams pass rush is gonna have to be on. i think the run defense is gonna have to be the best it’s been.

i think davis cannot have the same game he had last week. and i think the rams are gonna either have to win the turnover battle by at least 2 or have some sort of huge special teams play. a blocked punt, return touchdown. something.

that’s the thing with me. we know what hill’s ceiling is. and it’s not a long-term starting qb. with davis we still don’t know. the league has made adjustments. rams need to figure out if davis can adjust. to me it’s worth it to see if he can. fisher is thinking the same thing which is probably why he named him the starter for the rest of the season. what i personally want to see is davis games 12 to 16. that will say a lot about what kind of qb he can eventually become.

i think he’s got the physical skills. i think at this point it’s just learning the position. if he can continue to grow into the position he’ll be fine. if not then rams are looking for a new qb.
