InvaderRamModeratoralec ogletree’s pass deflection was a thing of beauty.
also. there’s a twitter post of robinson’s block on the rams’ td drive. beeyooteeful.
My goodness, this Greg Robinson block. #Rams #STLvsSTL pic.twitter.com/iCTGKQFL3M

InvaderRamModeratorwell we don’t know that yet. and the rams don’t know that. yet. that’s why he has to play the rest of the season. they have to know what they have in davis going into the offseason.
we do know these things. hill is a career backup. a good backup. but not a long-term solution.
we do know that bradford has shredded maybe the most important ligament in sports. twice. in less than one year. in less than one year… going back to college he’s had 2 healthy seasons in 6 years? the rams would be foolish to let him play next season. he won’t even be on the field at the beginning of next season. people can cling on to hope that he will come back. that’s fine. but a second injury means a longer recovery time. a worse prognosis. 2 ligament tears in less than a year? really?

InvaderRamModeratorI disagree. I don’t think the rest of the season should be about evaluating Davis.
Fisher should start the QB that gives the Rams the best shot to win. He would be doing his team and the fans a huge disservice if he used the rest of the season as an audition for anyone, including Davis.i can understand why people would want that, but if i’m fisher, i want to be sure of what i have in davis before i go into the offseason.
he’s the only viable option on the roster for a long-term solution at qb. it’s not going to be hill or bradford.
InvaderRamModeratordenzel perryman. he’s a likely first round pick in 2015. but he’d look good on this defense.
InvaderRamModeratorjust want to point out one thing. the niners only touchdown scored was in the second quarter off an interception thrown by davis in which the niners started out at the rams’ 35 yard line.
of course, that last drive the niners marched down and the rams benefited from a horrible kaepernick mistake.
then again. the rams defense was robbed of a defensive touchdown when the refs erroneously ruled a dead ball on a niners fumble.
this niners offense isn’t a world beater. i’m much more curious to see how much they’ve grown when they face the broncos in a couple weeks.
InvaderRamModeratorif i’m the rams, i make a serious effort at getting a blue chip quarterback in next year’s draft.
i don’t think you count on bradford playing at all next year or in the future.
and i’m not sure davis is the answer, but you play him the rest of the season to see if he can progress.
InvaderRamModeratori don’t know. my initial impression is he had a solid performance, but i didn’t focus on it either. curious as to what more trained eyes thought.
InvaderRamModeratorso. what do people think of robinson’s performance today?
InvaderRamModeratori know. just joking. but moving forward. i’m looking for improvement from robinson, bailey, austin, mason, davis, donald, brockers, ogletree, gaines, mcdonald…
also we got barron now. so excited to see what he looks like.
InvaderRamModeratorwell i will look for any kind of improvement. anything would do. really. anything. even if it just means zuerlein actually making his field goals.
or losing by less points…

InvaderRamModeratoryeah. the defense has been a big disappointment.
i don’t know what happened there. if players have regressed. learning a new system. i don’t know. but then do you change coordinators again? how many changes have they made there?
oddly enough there’s been more stability at the offensive coordinator position. and surprisingly they’ve performed better than expectations?
InvaderRamModeratorno. lots of things to look forward to this season. watched every game so far. i’m a sunday ticket subscriber too. specifically to watch the rams play.
just been hard lately. i’m a cardinals fan and losing oscar taveras has been particularly hard.
but rams are the team i love the most. but yeah. getting blown out gets tough sometimes. didn’t watch the 4th quarter against kansas city last week.

true dat. this season has been very different from the season i had imagined in my mind 2 months ago.
InvaderRamModeratorbarron and mcdonald both appear to be liabilities in coverage. in fact, i read an espn article which stated that pro football focus graded mcdonald as one of the worst coverage safeties in the league with a -11.0 grade. it actually seems like barron would be the more reliable safety in coverage.
my best guess is the rams rotate the three safeties around.

InvaderRamModeratori’m willing to bet that donald’s speed and quickness to size ratio is among the best ever in the nfl.
InvaderRamModeratorand oline was supposed to be a strength this year.
InvaderRamModeratori suppose it’s a can’t lose trade, but the bucs got rid of him for a reason…
ranked 66th at his position? maybe it was just a wrong fit…
InvaderRamModeratorso. what does la think about next year’s qb class?
InvaderRamModeratori wonder what stan kroenke thinks of this team.

InvaderRamModeratorthis injury thing is just very depressing. but i am excited to see barrett jones line up at center going forward. i’m also excited to see robinson play at left tackle. and also looking forward to seeing some more stedman bailey and possibly tavon austin at wr.
InvaderRamModeratori missed the last quarter. how did barrett jones look filling in at center?
greg robinson at left tackle?
InvaderRamModeratori’d have to agree with that. he’s inconsistent. one half he makes plays. the next half he makes critical mistakes.
i don’t think he’ll be a world beater. which is why it’s important that the receivers continue to develop. it’s also important that tre mason becomes what he can be. a strong running game will make him that much more effective.
October 23, 2014 at 12:07 am in reply to: Making sense of Rams' running back situation/Wagoner #10225
InvaderRamModeratorif mason can learn to take care of the ball. and that’s a huge if. it’s a no brainer for me. i mean he looks like he’s capable of putting up some huge numbers pretty soon. he’s got the vision combined with the burst.
but like i said. that’s a huge if. he’s been fumbler for awhile.
InvaderRamModeratoralso. i suspect tavon will come through. he’s on pace for only 32 receptions this season, but he’s caught 80% of his targets.
they need to get him the ball more and on the move. or maybe he just isn’t developing as fast as they thought he would.
InvaderRamModeratori think the defense started to think they’d already arrived. they gotta get their collective head out of their ass.
the rookie are the only ones on defense to impress. so far.
October 22, 2014 at 11:36 pm in reply to: Barksdale: one of the "five most surprising players" #10222
InvaderRamModeratori really hope they find a way to keep this guy. cut long and sign this guy long-term! robinson and barksdale as the bookends. i like the sound of that. receiving corps is developing nicely. might have a solid qb. just gotta get the rbs going…
i think barrett jones gets his shot soon. i think he’s going to surprise.
InvaderRamModeratorgreg robinson and mason give me hope. that this running game can be better than mediocre.
that was a decent showing against a very strong run defense. it should only get better.
InvaderRamModeratori think this guy can only get better. but he’s already so disruptive. seems like you see his name being called at least once or twice a quarter. incredible find this guy. he, brockers, and quinn should develop nicely together.
InvaderRamModeratorhe can be a solid starter. not sure if he can be much more than that.
he’s done a lot of good things, but this offense is still not very good.
if the rams can get their running game going, he’s a viable starter.
