i was thinking they should have more bye weeks. gives them a chance to rest during a grueling season. but i agree. shorten the season. go back to grass fields. no preseason. probably not gonna happen. but those would all be good ideas.

I thought wms was pushed into the punter

    that’s what i saw too.

some missed chances there at the end. lake shoulda held onto that ball. there are probably other plays which i can’t recall at this moment.

i also don’t understand the call on ramsey. he just stood his ground and smith barreled into him. that was bogus.

Well, all of a sudden Sean Payton and Vic Fangio to LA is suddenly on the map and probably feels most likely if Sean McVay does step away.

well. wouldn’t be the worst thing if payton and fangio came in…

especially if they need to replace stafford at some point. isn’t payton supposed to be good at developing qbs?

in any case. i really doubt mcvay leaves this year. maybe in another three or four years.

hey. one of the few bright spots this season. cam akers resurgence, wags, and jones being other ones. just hope this carries over into next season and also that mcvay doesn’t retire.

well this has to be the toughest season for him as a head coach. hopefully he just needs some time away.

he’s a stopgap. i don’t understand why anyone would think he’s a long term solution.

if odell’s knee is healthy, i’d totally want him back on the rams.

wow.  nice win.  from a team that is almost unrecognizable from the one that started the season.  at least on offense.

this is probably the official low point of the season.

Jourdan Rodrigue@JourdanRodrigue On emergence of DL Michael Hoecht as an OLB, Sean McVay says they realized he could be a good edge “probably two weeks ago”. “Otherwise we would’ve done this shit a lot sooner.” Hoecht had 2 sacks, 3 hits, a TFL and forced a fumble. He had 5 pressures on 31 rushes, T7 in W13.

it took them three years to realize that?

    hmmm….

had to be done.  not glad that he’s hurt.  but glad the rams made the decision to shut him down.

yeah. it would be unfair to expect anything more. i mean this has to be their second string offense out there at this point right?

anyway. i expect guys to come back healthy next year. but that still doesn’t fix the oline problems.

wouldn’t mind seeing williams get more touches. and for mccutcheon to get more snaps if robinson ends up not playing.

i’m glad the conversation here is civil.

i looked over at the herd. and while it’s not getting completely out of hand, posters are just getting testy… like some are getting on ramsey and his fashion choices. it just seems bizarre to me. i don’t know. i feel fortunate to have a player of his caliber on this team. i could care less if the color of his socks don’t match the rest of the team’s.

i agree with people who say it’s hard to lay blame on anyone. injuries and losing whit and miller. that’s a hard one.

i also had hopes. but i’m also not all that surprised with how the season has gone.

after 99 and with how the offense was setting records the following season it really hurt when kurt went down with the thumb. this season. ehhh. maybe it just doesn’t mean as much being 20 years older.

    ugh.

quite possibly the lowest the rams have ever been in the mcvay era.

Andrew Whitworth@AndrewWhitworth I have a really cool idea for turf vs grass study! Ask the people who actually perform and put their bodies at risk on it! We know how we feel on it. Injury or not! Beating it puts on body, how hard it is when helmet hits, footing, etc

it’d be interesting to see the long-term effects of playing on synthetic grass. not just the acute injuries.

I dunno about you guys, but I’m starting to doubt they can run it back.

yeah. and regardless they should keep stafford out for his own sake.

when the rams couldn’t convert that third down with a minute and some change to go. i just had no confidence the rams could hold onto the lead. no pass rush. and no ability to protect the passer.  it’s just not their season.

i wish they’d just go grass. from what i’ve read it seems like it’s very doable.

Including the super bowl, in the last 8 games the Rams have played 3 LOTs, 7 OGs, and 3 OCs. No offense looks good under those conditions.

yes. ol injuries as a whole have made this a different team. i agree.

My thoughts aren’t really about this game in particular. Already trying to forget it, to be honest. My thoughts are that I am shocked that the Rams beat the Niners in the NFC Championship Game last season. Yeah, yeah, different team, I know.

they lost whit and miller. and those are probably the rams two biggest holes right now. protecting the passer and rushing the passer. yikes.

    two hof caliber players.

missed chances on turnovers. penalties. i just did not think they’d be this bad.

I think they think they need a pass rusher.

i’d be happy with either chubb or burns. chubb seems more likely though.

Hopefully, the Rams will have Brian Burns by then.

i think i would prefer burns over cmc…  i don’t know though.  haven’t really watched either of them play much…  haha.
