InvaderRamModeratoroffensive linemen still available.
la’el collins
tj clemmings
jake fisher
aj cannassuming collins is innocent and this is all some huge misunderstanding. he could be an absolute steal. where exactly do you roll the dice on him though?
InvaderRamModeratorlooking back what were the chances that the fisher would pick an offensive lineman in the first round two years in a row?
i do still expect them to select at least two offensive linemen.
gurley reminds me of steven jackson. with more speed. he’s got the power and he’s got the receiving ability of a steven jackson. great pick.
April 30, 2015 at 8:00 pm in reply to: NFL rejects La'el Collins' request to be pulled from draft #23462
InvaderRamModeratorif he’s innocent, then that is a real tough break for him. i hope he’s innocent.
InvaderRamModeratori would prefer the trade down.
and then a trade back up into the middle rounds.
meaning. i don’t think they need more draft picks. but i think it would be good to have as many low first rounders, second rounders, and third rounders as they can get. there’s value to be had there.
InvaderRamModeratorso… there’s a rumor that the rams are trying to trade up to number 2…
InvaderRamModerator; They could do a future pick (2016 2cd round) or they give us their 2rd round pick and we give them our 3rd round pick.
yeah. i’d do that.
InvaderRamModeratorplease let this happen.
April 29, 2015 at 7:40 pm in reply to: your relation to this season is…? same as usual? losing interest? etc? #23353
InvaderRamModeratori am excited. however, i have this feeling more of restlessness than i have in previous seasons. i feel like the team is close. and while i am excited about the draft, i just want to get the draft done and move forward to the regular season.
at the beginning of this whole offseason, i was intrigued by all the new potential toys the rams could draft. cooper, gurley, mariota, white…
but approaching the draft, i’m coming to the realization that the rams just need to draft an offensive lineman. and they really need to hit on this one. like they need to draft the second coming of steve hutchinson. although i do think they should draft a running back later on. maybe a jay ajayi in the second round.
but more than that. this team just needs to take that next step toward making the playoffs. and they’re close. but it’s been frustrating. i’m restless.
as far as the whole move. i’m torn. i don’t know which way i want it to go. though ultimately it hasn’t had an effect on my enthusiasm for the rams.

InvaderRamModeratoringlewood’s stadium presentation.
starts at 2:37 mark.
http://www.cityofinglewood.org/soc15.html
it’s sad. lots of loyal st louis rams fans are getting jobbed on this. i don’t know how this can be stopped.
Well…um…so did lots of loyal Los Angeles fans back in 1995. Ya know.
I cant see any way out of the ‘jobbing’
of loyal fans somewhere — unless the NFL
adds a coupla teams.w
vtrue dat. not trying to take sides on this. just sad that the league makes us fight over these teams.

InvaderRamModeratorHe also brought up they might try to bring in Superbowl PSLs and Inglewood. Possibly 3-4 Superbowls in LA to help pay for the stadium. Pay for Superbowl PSLs.
of course. kroenke finds a way to not have to pay for the stadium. shoot. it’ll probably also pay for the relocation fee.
April 21, 2015 at 8:00 pm in reply to: So the great debate continues to divide Ramdom — how good is Barksdale? #22975
InvaderRamModeratorThe Rams could sign Barksdale to any reasonable high end contract, even up to, ~5 million/yr with 8-10 million guaranteed. They just have to manage the contract this year to fit under a cap number of ~3 million. Whether Barksdale has another offer or not, this indicates that there is a point the Rams will not go past and that it isn’t good enough to get Barksdale signed. Maybe he figures that later on some team will be more desperate for a tackle?.
The Rams will be committed to running the ball. (They signed Kendricks to a 4yr/18million contract.) Even with Barksdale back this will take more than drafting a starting guard in the 2cd or 3rd round. Cause they could always sign Blalock and not draft any offensive linemen, if that was the answer. imo
It would take an extraordinary player, Cooper is the only one that fits that, for them to not pick Scherff or Collins at 10. I see Scherff and Collins on par with every other player that might fall. The rest of the candidates are merely trade bait. imo
I know other posters have different opinions. This is how I see it.
if it came down to scherff or collins at the #10 spot i prefer collins. although i also have to say i prefer that they trade down and draft erving. shoot i even like erving at #10.

InvaderRamModeratorhe’s good enough. the problems were elsewhere. i’ve said it before why i think the rams should re-sign him.
that way the rams can move onto finding a guard and a center. and also hope that robinson can begin to fulfill his potential at left tackle.
April 19, 2015 at 6:24 pm in reply to: Grayson, Hundley, Petty, Carden etc. … the qbs this year #22882
InvaderRamModeratori just wonder what weinke thinks of these quarterbacks.
specifically hundley. he’s tempting if only cuz he’d likely be available in the second round.
i also wonder how much weinke’s opinion counts for.
April 18, 2015 at 11:14 pm in reply to: Jeremiah: Winston, Mariota only starting QBs in draft … + Rams & Mariota #22860
InvaderRamModeratori would pass on winston.
shades of roethlisberger… no thanks.
April 18, 2015 at 6:05 pm in reply to: Possible Rams-Chiefs trade? … & other trade down scenarios #22840
InvaderRamModeratorWhat I can’t figure out:
If the Rams can’t find enough value for the #10 …
How can some other team find enough value to offer us value for a trade up?
I guess I am skeptical.
i think it depends on position. rams need an offensive lineman but the value might not be worth it at #10. there might, however, be a receiver there who is worth it to some other team. or perhaps a randy gregory. or maybe a guy like waynes. the rams could trade down with someone looking to add a wr, de, or cb. and then draft the lineman lower in the draft.
April 17, 2015 at 9:42 pm in reply to: ESPN Reporter Britt McHenry Berates A Towing Company Employee #22810
InvaderRamModeratorwith respect to fairness, i’m pretty sure what happened to her was illegal. obviously i don’t know the details, but a lot of towing companies will just tow cars in order to extort money from their owners.
having said that, the things she said were pretty vicious.
it happened to me once. i payed the guy off before he could tow it away. it can be very frustrating when it happens to you. but yeah. no reason to respond like that.
InvaderRamModeratorrams could get him in the second round. my question is does he eventually replace laurinaitis or are they looking at him on the strongside? or are the rams not pleased with ogletree?
InvaderRamModeratorcameron erving.
fisher. snead. if you’re reading this.
cameron erving.
InvaderRamModeratorYes, I have heard lots of people talk about Zack and frankly it makes no sense. The Titans are not close to being a winner. Rivers would be waisted on the Titans. Rivers is not a QB you bring in when you are building your team.
He’s old, he’s got some physical issues and I am not even sure with a Super Bowl ready team he’s the guy you’d want.I think a better trade for Tenn would be with the Rams. Foles and the number 10 pick plus a 4th this year and that would be beneficial for the Titans and the Rams. Rams get Mariot or Winston, depending on who Tampa takes.
Grits
that i would consider.
i would not give up a future first rounder. no way. no how.
i’ve been thinking about it, and the one thing i don’t like about this trade is that if foles plays well, he’s in line for a huge contract. if he doesn’t play well, then you still need a qb.
i would do the trade because you get a blue chip qb on a cheap contract. he’s cost controlled for what five years? i like it.
the one thing i don’t like is who the hell is your qb for 2015? at least it would buy some time for fisher and staff.
April 15, 2015 at 12:45 pm in reply to: Ten for No. 10: Randy Gregory – part of a series – Wagoner #22707
InvaderRamModeratorrandy gregory would be intriguing.
i would be really tempted to take him at #10 if he was available.
ultimately i think i’d have to pass though. too raw and other more pressing needs.

but i am laughing.
April 13, 2015 at 9:45 pm in reply to: The Lawrence Philips mini-series (not literally, just a metaphor) #22670
InvaderRamModeratorwow. that just sucks. all the way around.
InvaderRamModeratorjust think it’s about time we as fans say we don’t really need you that much.
i say this of course as i pay my ridiculous cable and internet bills along with sunday ticket. ha!
InvaderRamModeratorpersonally i would not buy a psl seat just to keep the rams in my hometown.
i can just follow them on television.
these guys get enough of our money as it is. don’t need to fork over more money just to see them build some ridiculous stadium.
InvaderRamModeratorwhat would he learn from randy moss? how to quit on a route?
he should be learning from bruce and holt and proehl.
InvaderRamModeratorme personally? at this point i want cameron erving. if i’m remembering correctly, he didn’t start playing offensive line until his sophomore year at fsu. and didn’t play center until this last year. so much potential still there. you start him out at guard. and in the future, you have your starting center. who has flexibility to slide out to either guard spot. and maybe even right tackle in an emergency situation.
robinson
saffold
barnes/jones
erving
barksdalei think that’s a winner right there.
even draft a couple more offensive linemen to develop.
InvaderRamModerator2. Is this just me? Not consensus? I always think of the fact that the Fisher/Boudreau Rams OL has been decent when it was relatively healthy. That’s even with an average at best or even below average starter or 2…”
=======================Yes, i’d say they have been “decent” when healthy.
But a ‘decent’ OLine is only good enough if you are the Seahawks or GSOT
or have a front seven like the Giant teams had, etc, etc.Overall, i think maybe you have been a little more impressed with the ‘Healthy
Ram Olines’ than moi. Maybe. I dunno.
Minor differences, between die-hard Ram-fanatix.As far as starting two Rookies on the Oline — I dunno. Obviously,
if they do it, it would be unprecedented for Fisher/Boudreau. But
this could be the year it happens. If it happens i guess it would
mean they aint happy with what the young players they’ve been developing. Can these people ever, finally, field a strong, healthy, better-than-‘decent’
Offensive Line? Year 4. We’ll see.w
vi think if robinson pans out. makes the expected progress this year. which i fully expect him to do.
and if the rams can hit on one offensive lineman. just one. in this draft. not saying they should draft just one. but if they can hit on just one.
and if the rams can sign barksdale.
this offensive line could be the best they’ve had in awhile. they’ve got youth and potential on their side. but again. robinson has to be the real deal. barksdale has to be re-signed. and they really got to hit on one offensive lineman in this draft. like they hit on donald last year at defensive tackle.
InvaderRamModeratori’m fairly certain the rams pick a qb this year. i just don’t know when that will be.
InvaderRamModeratorthis secondary needs more of that. leadership. toughness. i’m happy with him as a starter. but i think jenkins needs to be replaced. i hope i’m wrong.
