Moderatori think it’s time to put hill back in.
rams need something to build on going into the offseason, and it’s clearly not happening with davis.
then. i think the rams have to pick a qb somewhere in the draft in the first three rounds. at least.

Moderatormaybe. put hill back in as starter.
and if the rams can get tons of pressure on denver.
plus they’re playing at home.
InvaderRam
Moderatori see them going at least 3-4 the rest of the way.
shoot. maybe even hill is named the starter again, and the rams go 4-3.

Moderatoralthough i have to say i think it was on the int return for a td… britt should have caught that. maybe a little on the high side, but it hit both his hands. he’s got to pull that one in. instead it goes up in the air and peterson runs in for an easy touchdown.

Moderatorsilver lining?
i think the silver lining is that this team is only a legit qb from being a real contender.
so close. i thought for sure after the ogletree int that this team was going to ice the game. and then davis imploded.
InvaderRam
Moderatorthat guy deserved all of that so funny.
InvaderRam
Moderatorthat would be awesome. i hope he seizes the starting job over the second half of the season. and i hope those td passes are going to tavon and stedman!
InvaderRam
Moderatoryeah. i don’t think it’s an either or thing. just want to see the rams find a qb. i was on the bradford wagon but now i do not think he’s the answer anymore while i’m still undecided on davis.
InvaderRam
Moderatorcan you imagine quinn and donald together at the height of their powers?
that’s gonna be fun to watch.

Moderatori prefer snowflake. robert quinn is a snowflake…

Moderatori don’t know. fisher made it pretty clear davis was the starter going forward. i don’t think that means he’s not trying to win, but i do believe he needs to determine what exactly they have in davis.
or maybe davis sucks again next week, and they determine he’s not starting qb material…
InvaderRam
Moderatori think the rams pass rush is gonna have to be on. i think the run defense is gonna have to be the best it’s been.
i think davis cannot have the same game he had last week. and i think the rams are gonna either have to win the turnover battle by at least 2 or have some sort of huge special teams play. a blocked punt, return touchdown. something.
InvaderRam
Moderatorthat’s the thing with me. we know what hill’s ceiling is. and it’s not a long-term starting qb. with davis we still don’t know. the league has made adjustments. rams need to figure out if davis can adjust. to me it’s worth it to see if he can. fisher is thinking the same thing which is probably why he named him the starter for the rest of the season. what i personally want to see is davis games 12 to 16. that will say a lot about what kind of qb he can eventually become.
InvaderRam
Moderatori think he’s got the physical skills. i think at this point it’s just learning the position. if he can continue to grow into the position he’ll be fine. if not then rams are looking for a new qb.
November 5, 2014 at 8:52 am in reply to: If Jones is a player I think this is next year's line #11241InvaderRam
Moderatoryeah i’m liking that a lot. bringing three starters back. a guy who’s been in the system for two years and just one new guy.
InvaderRam
Moderatorif they can’t find a long-term solution at qb they are in big trouble. that’s the one thing they’re missing. might be davis? might be someone else. but yeah. they need to find one.
InvaderRam
ModeratorBates is in there.
That’s interesting.
I wonder if Ogletree WASN’T in there.
ogletree was in there.
InvaderRam
Moderatoryes. this is definitely something the rams can build on. huge confidence booster.
InvaderRam
Moderatorin all seriousness. i do get positive feelings from this team which i haven’t been able to say pre-fisher.
they’ve made a lot of mistakes. they’ve been inconsistent. but i still get the feeling that this team can get better.
maybe it isn’t under fisher. but i really do feel like there is a solid foundation here. they’ve just got to get past some sort of tipping point. maybe it’s finding an answer to the quarterback position i don’t know. but they’re close.
InvaderRam
Moderatoralec ogletree’s pass deflection was a thing of beauty.
also. there’s a twitter post of robinson’s block on the rams’ td drive. beeyooteeful.
My goodness, this Greg Robinson block. #Rams #STLvsSTL pic.twitter.com/iCTGKQFL3M

Moderatorwell we don’t know that yet. and the rams don’t know that. yet. that’s why he has to play the rest of the season. they have to know what they have in davis going into the offseason.
we do know these things. hill is a career backup. a good backup. but not a long-term solution.
we do know that bradford has shredded maybe the most important ligament in sports. twice. in less than one year. in less than one year… going back to college he’s had 2 healthy seasons in 6 years? the rams would be foolish to let him play next season. he won’t even be on the field at the beginning of next season. people can cling on to hope that he will come back. that’s fine. but a second injury means a longer recovery time. a worse prognosis. 2 ligament tears in less than a year? really?

ModeratorI disagree. I don’t think the rest of the season should be about evaluating Davis.
Fisher should start the QB that gives the Rams the best shot to win. He would be doing his team and the fans a huge disservice if he used the rest of the season as an audition for anyone, including Davis.i can understand why people would want that, but if i’m fisher, i want to be sure of what i have in davis before i go into the offseason.
he’s the only viable option on the roster for a long-term solution at qb. it’s not going to be hill or bradford.
InvaderRam
Moderatordenzel perryman. he’s a likely first round pick in 2015. but he’d look good on this defense.
InvaderRam
Moderatorjust want to point out one thing. the niners only touchdown scored was in the second quarter off an interception thrown by davis in which the niners started out at the rams’ 35 yard line.
of course, that last drive the niners marched down and the rams benefited from a horrible kaepernick mistake.
then again. the rams defense was robbed of a defensive touchdown when the refs erroneously ruled a dead ball on a niners fumble.
this niners offense isn’t a world beater. i’m much more curious to see how much they’ve grown when they face the broncos in a couple weeks.
InvaderRam
Moderatorif i’m the rams, i make a serious effort at getting a blue chip quarterback in next year’s draft.
i don’t think you count on bradford playing at all next year or in the future.
and i’m not sure davis is the answer, but you play him the rest of the season to see if he can progress.
InvaderRam
Moderatori don’t know. my initial impression is he had a solid performance, but i didn’t focus on it either. curious as to what more trained eyes thought.
InvaderRam
Moderatorso. what do people think of robinson’s performance today?
InvaderRam
Moderatori know. just joking. but moving forward. i’m looking for improvement from robinson, bailey, austin, mason, davis, donald, brockers, ogletree, gaines, mcdonald…
also we got barron now. so excited to see what he looks like.
InvaderRam
Moderatorwell i will look for any kind of improvement. anything would do. really. anything. even if it just means zuerlein actually making his field goals.
or losing by less points…

Moderatoryeah. the defense has been a big disappointment.
i don’t know what happened there. if players have regressed. learning a new system. i don’t know. but then do you change coordinators again? how many changes have they made there?
oddly enough there’s been more stability at the offensive coordinator position. and surprisingly they’ve performed better than expectations?
