I thought that this was the Rams best game this year. Some players who I thought had their best games this year: Hayes, Jenkins, Barron, and Fairley. I think the Oline is improving.

the best part? their next game could be even better!

team just has to keep focusing on getting better every day.

the good thing about all this is there’s still potential to get better. offensive line is still shaky. but there’s lots of potential there. as opposed to years’ past where what you had was what you got. nick foles can get better. he’s only in his fourth year.

maybe we see some more of this no huddle stuff in the future? does that play to foles’ strengths? cignetti is still trying to figure out how all the pieces fit together. my guess is this offense looks totally different at game 16 than it did today. again. i don’t know if i could have said that in the past.

oh. well. the dbs hit hard anyway.

i guess brandon fisher is dbacks coach now.

he’s doing a great job. this is the best i’ve seen it since fisher’s been here. losing gaines was tough. but joyner has come a long way since last season. jenkins and johnson having their best seasons ever. safeties are all over the place.

i doubted that hiring. but fisher seems to be doing a great job.

i have no reason to believe there should be any kind of letdown.

    but i’m still nervous.

can’t wait until kendricks comes back. healthy. should help the running and passing game.

i think the rams missed him today. i really believe that.

also. i liked seeing the gurdle. that was special.

This defense may not be elite but they are elite hitters. They are absolutely vicious out there!

if they aren’t already, i think they’re getting there.

i think they’re at least in the top 5 right now, but their goal should be to be the best.

after watching janoris today i change my mind. if he can play like this the whole season, i hope the rams can re-sign this guy. if they have to let long or laurinaitis go, i would even go there.

i like barron at linebacker. am i crazy?

i like this defense. just need ogletree to come back healthy.

To see Gurley dominating makes me feel smart for fist pumping and exclaiming “yes!” when the Rams drafted him on April 30, 2015.

I had the same reaction. Glad to see it was really warranted.

i still remember that moment. realizing gurley was still on the board and hoping against hope the rams would draft him. my favorite draft pick since steven jackson i think.

(On the effectiveness of Austin’s crackback block)
“Yeah, that means a lot. It’s important to the team for guys as little as he is to block.”

    that’s funny.

Todd Gurley will not talk about his performance without bringing up his offensive line. #humble @STLRamsFans13 @KSDKSports

now i’m sure that most running backs credit their olines in interviews. so there’s nothing earth shattering there.

but when you block for someone with that much talent. with his physicality. and someone who clearly puts that much work in. my guess is you block a little bit harder for him.

those dbacks hit hard. well coached. i believe that’s what cecil was known for back in the day.

gurley. wow. just wow. more than a wr. more than a qb. more than a rb. rams needed someone on offense who could just be flat out dominant. regardless of position. i just hope fisher does right by him and gets him some help.

rams hit a home run with this guy. just like they did with donald.

i really do think they’re better off finding out what they have in bailey and quick.

they are what they are. cook and britt.

I don’t think Bailey and Austin have any drops. I think if they involve Britt and Quick early in the game it might help them. Get them more into the game and improve their concentration and focus. They will trade Cook for a bag of chips.

yeah. bailey, austin, and quick. this is who they should focus on. and kendricks when he comes back.

i don’t hate britt. but i don’t think he’ll ever be anything more than what he is. cook? yeah. get rid of.

at the end of the year reevaluate and see if someone else needs to be brought in.

    Williams on Joyner.

    Just a bit I liked.

    .

Joiner is playing well. He also tackles well.

joyner has been a revelation with gaines out.

    tough too.

    Oh Bernie, you knucklehead, you.
Do you really think a healthy Sam Bradford wouldn’t have had a significant impact on the Rams’ record the past couple of seasons? Really? There were plenty of games there for the taking but for a lack of a competent QB.

Just before this, Bernie had been ranting over the radio about how no one really appreciated how good a coach Fisher was. It was only he who could see it. He mentioned the 5 year stretch between 1999-2003 and how the Titans were tied with the Rams for the best record in football.

In reality, Bernie is really a Big TROLL and should be banned. imo 😉

    hahahahaha!

    this!

Looking just at drops now (not catch percentage)…Kendricks, Britt, and Cook all fell off from where they even were last year.

i can forgive kendricks. playing with a bad thumb has got to be hard.

cook and britt are dead to me.

gotta start giving bailey and quick more playing time.

For Cleveland, CB Joe Haden and TE Housler ruled out.

joe haden out? that’s huge. wonder if the rams try to pass it more.

this team is able to draft and develop defensive backs with success. i would lean toward letting him walk. save the big bucks for an aaron donald. i don’t know that i’d put jenkins at that level.

not so sure about gaines. i think he might be fragile. what does the draft look like for corners? if they sign him, it’ll have to be at the expense of another player.

my only question with him is what happens when he gets that huge pay day? right or not i question his motivation.

i would not. but. if i would, i would not discriminate.

i would divide into as many different demographic categories as possible. or as many as i could think of. by age, ethnicity, geographical location, occupation, wealth, gender, sexual orientation, religion… i don’t know if i’m missing anything. and then i’d just randomly remove a percentage within each category.

not that i’ve ever thought about this.

the only other solution i can think of is getting off this planet.

but then you’d just have more humans.

the one question i gotta ask myself. can he be as good as eli manning?

i’d say he definitely could be as good as eli manning. and i’d also say that gurley would rival any running back the giants had.

and that dline could be as good as that giants dline.

that’s what i think of when i see these rams play.

for what it’s worth. the rams have held wilson, roethlisberger, palmer, and rodgers to their season low qb ratings so far. the only exception is cousins who had his season high qb rating.

i don’t know. bailey hasn’t dropped the ball much from what i can remember. austin has looked fine. kendricks. i attribute that to the bad thumb which required surgery.

the main culprits for me have been cook and britt. and quite frankly. i’d be glad if neither of them were on this team next year.

    we’ll see about quick.

even if they can’t get rid of him, he should not see the field anymore. don’t need quitters on this team.
