i like the sensabaugh signing. if this does mean we see joyner at free safety i like it. he’s a playmaker.
again. i thought they should have tried to sign green but otherwise they almost look set for the draft.
InvaderRamModeratori wonder if he bulks up a little this year.
March 13, 2016 at 7:32 pm in reply to: Rams called on some fancy-dancin in their contract language #40561InvaderRamModeratori wonder if demoff or kroenke ever feel guilt. or remorse.
InvaderRamModeratoryeah. he did lie. i wish someone would ask him about that.
InvaderRamModeratorquite possibly the best defensive player in the league.
can’t let his talent go to waste.
InvaderRamModeratorthinking i would rather have had mcleod.
InvaderRamModeratorif they do keep him i hope he isn’t starting. i hope brown and wichmann are so good they keep saffold on the bench.
March 10, 2016 at 9:57 pm in reply to: informal poll … how do the Rams look in free agency so far #40390InvaderRamModeratori wanted mcleod back. that’s what i’m most disappointed in.
and for what the steelers signed green for? but who knows if he even wanted to play for the rams.
otherwise job well done.
March 10, 2016 at 9:52 pm in reply to: NFL Source: Robert Griffin III wants to play for Rams in Los Angeles #40389InvaderRamModeratori am a big fan of this idea. rgiii is a smart guy. he’s got talent.
does he need to mature? yeah. for sure. i do think he’s better than any option in the draft.
doesn’t sound like the rams are all that interested in rgiii right now anyway.
March 10, 2016 at 6:53 pm in reply to: Patriots are hosting restricted FA running back Benny Cunningham #40379InvaderRamModeratori liked him too. question is can tre bounce back?
if he can i don’t see a need for him. gurley should be able to take over third down duties.
March 10, 2016 at 6:02 pm in reply to: Peyton Manning Rumors:Rams Refusal To Guarantee Starting Job Drove QB To Retire #40377InvaderRamModeratori wouldn’t want peyton on the rams anyway.
March 10, 2016 at 5:59 pm in reply to: NFL Source: Robert Griffin III wants to play for Rams in Los Angeles #40376InvaderRamModeratoreven if rgiii goes to the niners it still helps the rams out as the qbs will start dropping in the draft. shoot maybe even goff will be available.
InvaderRamModeratorthey’re going to need a big beefy defensive line to keep them blockers off barron and ogletree.
InvaderRamModeratorwell. this pretty much eliminates lb in the first round. so most likely dlineman, quarterback, or wide receiver with the rams’ first pick.
InvaderRamModeratori wanted hayes and mcleod and maybe barron. they got 2 of 3 so not too disappointed.
just wonder how they’re going to replace mcleod.
InvaderRamModeratori’m happy about the signing, but i read mcleod is gone.
InvaderRamModeratorhayes and mcleod would be my priorities if i was the rams. if they can sign one of barron or fairley all the better, but they can be replaced in the draft.
InvaderRamModeratori like it. i think he’d complement gurley well. i think he’d be an upgrade over keenum. and mannion maybe develops in a couple years.
then just concentrate on defense in the draft.
i like it. i’d totally be on board.
InvaderRamModeratorooooooooooohoohoooooooo!
i like it. i think he’s got at least 4 more years in him.
InvaderRamModeratorI don’t know. I don’t think Fisher is terrible. That’s a strong word for a coach that’s been around this many years and has had some success.
I think Fisher still underestimates the “new” league. He doesn’t seem to get the importance of good QB play and good WRs. This is a QB ONLY league now. A team has to have a good one. Even Seattle’s D, which has been great for a few years, wouldn’t go far without the solid playmaking ability of Wilson.
The one good QB Fisher had was Steve McNair, and he wasn’t great, but he was good enough. Coupled with a great running game and a good D, Fisher had success.
So unless we can find our own version of McNair we’re gonna remain a .500 team, imo.
but superbowls have also been occupied by great defenses as well.
and this year. yeah peyton manning is a hall of famer but that’s not the peyton manning that won this superbowl. not to mention that the broncos defense was responsible for shutting down the reigning mvp qb newton.
i think fisher understands and maybe if there was one criticism of him it’s that he should not have traded bradford. but i was one of many who was on board with that decision so i made the same mistake as well.
InvaderRamModeratorwell rams have to get off to a strong start their first season. or it would be very important at least. another reason why spending a first round pick on a qb in a weak qb class doesn’t make the most sense.
ok. i’m getting annoying now.
InvaderRamModeratorwell i don’t think adding roddy would hurt and i think that using premium draft picks on defense would be better given all the talent on that side.
and i agree that having welker last year was a big help to a young offense.

March 5, 2016 at 9:27 pm in reply to: informal poll—the Rams will draft a qb? sign one? wuttz yer vott? #40044InvaderRamModeratorKeenum and Foles is not the way to start the season. We’ve seen that show. It ends at 7-9.
To be honest, I think they do better than 7-9 if Keenum played all year. He’s clearly not a franchise qb type, but, he has enough I think for them to win more often than not, provided they have a top defense and a running game.
ya know. spending their draft capital on defense and it’s supposed to be a defensive draft. not a bad idea. and then a guy like keenum to just do enough to keep defenses from locking in on gurley. not a bad idea.
just so many blue chip defensive players this draft. make the defense an even bigger strength. make it a top 5 defense.
InvaderRamModeratori think this kind of signing would be the way to go. get a receiver who can step right in and contribute. bringing in a rookie who doesn’t know all the nuances of a pro style offense and having to develop him. i don’t know.
i know a couple of the bengals receivers should be free agents as well.
give keenum or whoever the best chance for immediate success.
then the draft can be spent on defense and a developmental qb.
March 5, 2016 at 1:29 pm in reply to: informal poll—the Rams will draft a qb? sign one? wuttz yer vott? #40024InvaderRamModeratorthe rams will draft a qb. i’d rather they sign one though.
InvaderRamModeratorweakest offensive draft in years. i think the rams might be better off drafting a qb for the future and then just focusing on restocking the defense. maybe have the qb sit for a year and see what next year looks like in terms of drafting receivers.
there’s always free agency too.
March 5, 2016 at 10:31 am in reply to: Jon Gruden's QB Camp w/ Case Keenum 2012 (has morphed into "the keenum thread") #40017InvaderRamModeratorpaxton lynch threw the ball 59 mph. best in this year’s class. i also like that he has some running ability.
March 5, 2016 at 10:28 am in reply to: Jon Gruden's QB Camp w/ Case Keenum 2012 (has morphed into "the keenum thread") #40015InvaderRamModeratori think he’s a more athletic version of joe flacco.
but it sounds like he’s gonna need a lot of time and development.

InvaderRamModeratori wonder who the rams would take if paxton lynch, darron lee, and laquon treadwell were all available at the 15th pick. or will they pick a dlineman. i’d be tempted to take lee there myself.
March 3, 2016 at 6:26 pm in reply to: 2016 mocks & rankings & general draft commentaries, thread 2 #39913InvaderRamModeratordarron lee is intriguing. quarterback and defensive back in high school. only two years experience as a linebacker, but he’s explosive and quick. killebrew is another guy i’m looking at as well.
