InvaderRamModeratoras poorly as gurley ran, he still had 96 total yards.
of course this was as shitty a defense as you’ll find in the nfl.
yeah. i’m just not sure about him at this point. i feel like more than several times he just lowered his head and didn’t even look where he was running when he could have easily bounced it outside.
of course later on he did bounce some runs outside only for an olineman or a tight end to get called for holding. so. who knows?
InvaderRamModeratorSecond, I think it’s time we think about extending Wade Phillips contract. Give that man a raise.
yes. whatever it takes. and then he can groom his replacement for whenever he decides to retire.

InvaderRamModeratorgreatest. ever.
InvaderRamModeratori just want to add that i’m really excited about sammy watkins. he’s been here for for only a month while the other receivers have been here for 4 months or longer. still he caught all five targets for 58 yards. a 11.6 average.
and you figure he’s going to get better as he learns the offense and develops a little more chemistry with goff.
the rams need him and kupp here for a long time. if this offense can be consistent and just get better every game. there’s no reason watkins shouldn’t want to stay here. especially being a young guy in the second biggest media market in the nation.
InvaderRamModeratorgotta stop the penalties. gotta get better at running the ball. also. washington has a legit qb playing and some legit receivers to throw to. i just read that reed might have a broken toe though. still. maybe donald should be available next week.
InvaderRamModeratorto be fair. his team got cold-cocked so hard he probably had no idea where he was.
haha
InvaderRamModeratorit’s the colts, so we should take a step back and realize that.
but still. this offense can get better. goff is going to. hopefully now. make strides. hopefully. you’d expect. and he’s not always going to look like he did today. but you expect him to make strides. and he’ll continue to gain chemistry with his receivers. so i’m satisfied. for now.
sonofbum! went against a scrub for a qb. but you can only play who’s in front of you. and they got 2 turnovers for touchdowns. and they’re still waiting for the best defensive player in the world to come back. so. i’m satisfied.
InvaderRamModerator63 yard rushing on 33 carries too. he did it without much of a rushing game.
InvaderRamModeratorkeep him out week 2. make sure he’s ready.
i don’t think washington will be much good anyway. depending of course on how the offense looks.
InvaderRamModeratorok so i’m expecting the buffalo running game combined with the washington passing game…
seriously though. if they lose this game, it will be a colossal disaster. colossal.
watkins, gurley, kupp, austin should shred this defense. and the defense should be able to contain a toothless offense. anything else will be total failure.

InvaderRamModeratorConversely, Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. showed up for training camp — and nearly suffered a season-ending injury during a preseason game. Ditto for Raiders pass rusher Khalil Mack, who emerged from August with a knee injury that caused him to miss a practice in the week preceding the season-opening game.
yup. and why i would never begrudge donald for not showing up to camp. i don’t understand all the animosity being directed towards him.
hopefully the rams and donald can come up with an agreement and he can be a ram for a long time. but donald doesn’t owe anybody anything.
InvaderRamModeratori just want to see progress in goff. that’s it. that’s all i ask.
and i want to see gurley be the gurley of his first four games.

InvaderRamModeratorWell, good. I am not upset with Donald or the Rams. I am glad the drama is over. Hopefully they can reach an agreement, sooner better than later.
yeah i don’t see much reason to get upset about this.
shoot in a way it could be a good thing and donald doesn’t suffer through the abuse of a 16 game schedule. i think playoffs were a long shot anyway.
InvaderRamModeratorawesome. welcome back, aaron!
InvaderRamModeratorbe safe, mac. and anyone else who might be out there.
InvaderRamModeratori expect to see goff make strides this year. as in he won’t look completely clueless like he did last year.
i expect there to be a 1000 yard receiver on offense. which receiver that is i don’t know yet.
i expect to see gurley run for 1000 yards this season.
i expect donald to be back before the first half of the season ends.
i expect to see a healthier quinn this year. how effective i don’t know.
InvaderRamModeratorif cooper kupp is your fourth receiver, you’re pretty deep at that position. not sure how long that’s gonna last.
i’m worried about the tight end position especially considering how much mcvay uses tight ends. i’m thinking the wide receivers see a lot of time at least for the time being.
InvaderRamModeratoryes. they will miss him. i think they can get by for the first game, but they better get him signed quick.
InvaderRamModeratorthis is the best wr corps the rams have had in i don’t even know how long. just need the oline to stay healthy. and need goff to learn this offense fast!
InvaderRamModeratorDon’t tell Invader he has tiniest hands in football.
i already knew. i hate him already.
InvaderRamModeratori essentially agree with what waldman says, but lately when i read his articles i hear this loud ringing in my head.
InvaderRamModeratoryeah definitely not playing week one.
InvaderRamModeratorjohnny mundt. oregon. had a reputation as a good blocker hist first three years. was having a good senior year then injured his knee.
lots of good players got cut. that’s good for the rams.
InvaderRamModeratorsam rogers?
nooooooooooooooooo!
August 31, 2017 at 6:07 pm in reply to: informal poll: at this point, how confident are you in Goff? #73542
InvaderRamModeratori have no idea. i don’t think we can take too much from the charger game. i don’t think we can take too much from the raider game either.
i think i’ll have a better idea after the first four games. and i think i’ll know by the end of the season.
i think the physical skills are there. that’s why he was picked number one overall. i’m just not sure about the mental part.

InvaderRamModeratorThere are a lot of QBs playing at a high level well into their late 30’s. Moreso now than ever. I wonder if this is an aberration or trend. My bet is it’s a trend. If Goff is legit, then the Rams could have their QB for the next 14 – 18 years.
i think it’s a trend. qbs are protected now more than ever.
August 30, 2017 at 8:00 pm in reply to: Cooper Kupp Could Save Jared Goff Thanks to Sean McVay and the Angle Route #73505
InvaderRamModeratorkupp. offensive rookie of the year.
InvaderRamModeratori don’t think he’s got the tight ends to do what he did at washington. i expect kupp to see a lot of balls this year. and more production from the rb position assuming gurley is up to the task.
August 30, 2017 at 7:53 pm in reply to: Schefter: "realistic chance" Donald could miss first half of the season #73502
InvaderRamModeratordonald can do whatever the hell he wants to do.
shoot if he wants to sit and never play another game for the rams he can do that too. would he end up regretting it? possibly.
but yeah. it’s hard seeing the rams give into his demands. and would there be a team out there willing to meet those demands?
