Eternal RamnationParticipant
He was having problems in KC
Eternal RamnationParticipantGood to see the Rams comeback from the fake punt debacle. Would’ve loved to seen Higbee get a new record but he’s tied with a few greats for 1st at 4 consecutive games with over 100yards. Goff getting better handling pressure which will serve him well in 2020 behind what I feel will be a much improved cohesive line .Crazy depth at corner and OL for that matter. All and all a good last game at the Colosseum. Imo Littleton needs to stay I don’t want to see another London Fletcher type mistake. They can and have won without Ramsey. Not saying Ramsey isn’t a top corner I just think Littleton is more important to this team.
Eternal RamnationParticipantMerry Winter Solstice
Eternal RamnationParticipantThe future is bright! The OL with Noteboom coming back and a full off season I see them coming back much stronger, wiser ready to rock. Cooks is cooked he shows flickers but he’s just not the answer . On Defense we are still deep at corner with Hill , Williams and NRC but imo Ramsey should go. He’s just not a team player and is a finger pointer and his impact has been less than the ridiculous price he’s going to demand. Weddle is over with JJIII and Rapp plus Christian up and coming and Weddle just fades so quickly at this point he don’t add much. I’m about done with Wade as well. He needs a shut down corner ( Ramsey) he needs an elite edge rusher (Fowler) started with the best DT on the planet now he needs a massive immovable Nose. I need a DC that can shut down the run and not give up 3rd and forever with startling regularity.
Eternal RamnationParticipantNaw ZN the Rams held the 9ers to under 100yards rushing on 41 attempts they still got pounded but they were competitive. This was a complete defensive collapse we saw before in Bucs and Ravens games. What we saw today was half assed arm tackles from none less than Aaron Donald and Ramsey doing his Peters impersonations in run support. Weddle was a nonshow Rapp and Littleton played tough but Matthews Donald Brockers Fowler Gaines and Seabass were not competitive from the first drive.
Eternal RamnationParticipantI can understand how the offense struggled but that defense was pathetic. Just the body language was a team that didn’t want to be there in. This team is supposed to be mentally tough but all I saw was weakness, they weren’t competitive.I haven’t missed a Rams game in probably 10years but damn this shit is not fun anymore.
Eternal RamnationParticipantThe last Monday night game in the Colosseum ever is the Rams worse loss in the Colosseum ever. Glad it’s over.
Eternal RamnationParticipantThe offense scored 3 whole points. This looks like a 5-11 team to me.
Eternal RamnationParticipantBackup Qb rb wrs te should have been a shutout Gurley dropped what 3 4 passes gave away 3quarters just a miserable uninspired game out of this team. Sure there are all kinds of little things that didn’t go right the refs were horrible but still I’m disgusted with this bunch right now.I just can’t accept coming off a bye and losing a winnable game who are these guys?
Eternal RamnationParticipantWeird stuff happens in the UK games so you have to take them with a grain of salt. A 14 points win is always good.4 concussions in a season and a half is never good I’m thinking Cooks may be on his way out of football.
Eternal RamnationParticipantAnother benefit of Game Pass is you can listen to games live. Before I had Sunday Ticket available I would find a link to watch the game on the net and play the live audio on my phone to fill in the blanks.Nice to be able to listen to the Rams JB Long as opposed to the network guys, and it’s mobile so if you have to pick the best wife in the world up during the 3rd quarter like I do for early games you can still follow the game. And yes the full game is available minutes after it’s over. The condensed version and coaches view take a day or so. Side note the full game is sans commercials so the whole thing is only a little over an hour. I rarely even watch the condensed version anymore.
Eternal RamnationParticipantAvid Game Pass user here . I got the app on Amazon’s Fire TV. I love it! Really works well on my Samsung UHD 4k. I have a digital antenna and fairly fast internet but no cable and no dish. Also have Sunday Ticket’s streaming service but they won’t let you do that if you can have dish. Game Pass on the Fire tv is way better than on my pc.(Ancient pc newer tv) . You can also cast from your phone to Tv.
October 14, 2019 at 2:10 am in reply to: so what happened to the 2019 Rams (so far ie at 3-3) #106633Eternal RamnationParticipantOne thing that really pisses me off is I just read that the Rams have had a total of one actual practice in the last two weeks! Our mini bye was spent resting players that didn’t play and players starving for reps together (mainly the entire offense) This is what happened during last season’s slide ,practice after practice being moved to a walk through and with the same results. Teams that don’t practice tackle poorly and fade in the second half on defense and and have sync\timing issues on offense (errant throws missing wide open receivers tripping over linemen drops fumbled and endless penalties bad snaps) The answer is simple practice better than your opponent.
Eternal RamnationParticipantI’m demoralized. Too many decades of sifting through mediocrity in search of a small kerrnal of improvement or even hope. It’s not fun to watch a team struggle.
Eternal RamnationParticipantER’s right, W. That’s not “scholarly,” it’s the product of a dedicated right-wing think tank.
The fact that a think tank is right or left does not immunize it from a scholarly piece of work. Your response is like so many right wing responses that cast doubt on any research by left leaning scholars as simply biased because “it’s the product of a dedicated” left leaning think tank- and not to be taken seriously. Rather than look at the author’s base one might instead look at the FACTS and then argue them as opposed to the researcher’s uniform. What always gets me is the failure of the right to listen to anything the left says and the left’s unwillingness to listen to anything the right says.
First let me say that I would be the last person to judge scholarly qualification but I can read. I did read this Sanders hit piece and just like many before it I found it lacking. The Manhattan Institute’s right bias isn’t the problem the fact that their members and as WV mentioned the paper’s owner are heavily invested in the Health Insurance industry is the problem. I will be honest and say I did use a trusted cheat code. When billionaires start worrying about our collective cost my bullshit detector goes off.An example would be the Manhattan Institute is a non profit group or more accurately a tax shelter for billionaires.
Eternal RamnationParticipantYawn The Manhattan Institute a free market think tank. Yes Medicare 4 All would cost a shitload which is about half what we’re already paying now.
As for The Free Market, a free market would be based on barter. Currency is not free. It is very tightly regulated .
Manhattan Institute for Policy Research
The Manhattan Institute (MI) is a right-wing 501(c)(3) non-profit think tank founded in 1978 by William J. Casey, who later became President Ronald Reagan’s CIA director.[1] It is an associate member of the State Policy Network.
It is actually the direct successor to the International Center for Economic Policy Studies (ICEPS) which was founded by the english chicken-king, Sir Antony Fisher, in 1977. He had previously set up the Institute for Economic Affairs (IEA) in London, and before moving to the USA he had become a principle advisor to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
The incorporation documents for ICEPS were signed by the prominent attorney and Wall Street speculator, William J Casey, who also served as the first chairman. Before going on to take over as director of the CIA, be also drew up the founding documents for both the National Review and the National Strategic Information Center where he became director of the NSIC also. [1]
According to the Manhattan Institute’s own puff-piece, it is “focused on promoting free-market principles” and has a mission to “develop and disseminate new ideas that foster greater economic choice and individual responsibility.”[2]
“The Manhattan Institute concerns itself with such things as ‘welfare reform’ (dismantling social programs), ‘faith-based initiatives’ (blurring the distinction between church and state), and ‘education reform’ (destroying public education),” Kurt Nimmo wrote October 10, 2002, in CounterPunch.[3] It was also recognised as leading the Republican/corporate efforts to destroy Ralph Nader and his supporters, in the 1990s.

Eternal RamnationParticipantGreat game came up a little short. The D started out flying around but second half the old vets looking like they lost a step, Talib and Weddle don’t finish like they start. You can only get so upset with a one point loss in Seattle.Goff can definitely put the team on his back and put them in position to win but still more wtf moments than there should be. One good thing they can knock you out of that 6/1 now and that will only get better.
Eternal RamnationParticipantThey weren’t present and the team play that sets them apart was missing today . Missing tackles missing blocks missing wide open td throws dropping accurate passes missing assignments basically mia today. Tampa came to play and and I’m sure Arians had over a year to prepare for his next game against McVay’s Rams. Remember the beating he took in London? Throw in a division rivalry in 4 days and this one was on the way imo if not today soon. We’re just not a 4-0 team at the moment but we are much better than we showed today.
Eternal RamnationParticipantI disagree with Bate and Ruiz.More and more these national writers that don’t actually follow the Rams they write from a fantasy owner standpoint which isn’t relative. Ruiz doesn’t even mention that we are three games into a season in which the entire interior OL is in the first year starting. Higbee and Blythe not playing, Woods Cooks and Gurley all having uncharacteristic drops. The running game was doing next to nothing till the second half adjustment when they ran it up the middle then surprise surprise the passing game opened up. I am not saying that Goff has been perfect but he’s 3-0 including 2 3000 mile road trips against a very tough schedule so to say he’s not executing and it’s all on him,
that’s just over the top sillinous .Eternal RamnationParticipant5 years old tablet died mid-chat . This weekend for me started with a night and half a day stay in the hospital followed by little ER’s groom’s supper-ish then the wedding Wouldd’ve much preferred a nice relaxing 40 point blowout. I’ll take it though 3 and 0 isn’t bad
Eternal RamnationParticipantSpecifically to Gurley it looked like they were daring the Rams to run it only rushing 3 much of the time. I will say that Gurley doesn’t look the same as he did and he has been dropping passes going back to the playoffs.
September 18, 2019 at 12:53 pm in reply to: chunk plays/is the league catchin up with mcvay? #105259Eternal RamnationParticipantYes it’s inevitable. The Rams were the most studied offense going into 2018.The OL is not dominant like it was in The past. Staying on last season they played 19 games including 3 playoff games so no one is asking Sean who? Still they get their share of chunks. The OL will get better and Goff gets more time. You would think the saints were game planning for that game as soon as the schedule came out.
September 18, 2019 at 12:33 am in reply to: Donald making his presence felt with or without sacks #105251Eternal RamnationParticipant. — The Los Angeles Rams defense hasn’t allowed a touchdown through two victories this season.
Except for the 3 at CAR ?
Eternal RamnationParticipantOkay so it wasn’t Davenport it was#93 at any rate should have been called in any game let alone the game of the week.
Eternal RamnationParticipantYup the same play
Eternal RamnationParticipantI’ve watched that blown call play many times and I think it should have been a personal foul on Davenport Rams’ ball 1st and goal. Forearm shot hit Goff in the head and upper chest and ribs . I looked it up and yes it’s a loss of 15 yards penalty but because his Jersey doesn’t say Brady or Rodgers nobody says a word.
Eternal RamnationParticipantI get to go in Monday to a plant full of Vikes fans and one die-hard Saints fan. Just Monday though I’m off the rest of the week. If Cam gets his td do the Rams fold like a cheap suit ? I don’t think so but that is all I’ll hear. The D is getting good and the offense hadn’t quite clicked but they will and soon imo
Eternal RamnationParticipantBoth games in the dome were great games. The ’17 game in LA was a great game. I expect a terrific game Sunday. The No@crybabies are very thin on the DL. The Panthers are not but Mcvay had them gassed in the 2nd half. That’ll be what I’m watching for Sunday that and a synchronized passing game with everyone woke and on the same page.
Eternal RamnationParticipantAbout what I expected from a.first game on the road against one of the better defenses with zero starters playing at all in the preseason. If you look at the injury list after today’s games it’s hard to argue with that strategy. Gurley got stronger later in the game and that’s an effective strategy as well. The D made plays when it has to but come on stop the freaking run and cover the TE! At home with no hurricane humidity and the N.O. Babies on a short week I expect a laser focused game from these Rams next Sunday
Eternal RamnationParticipantThe just tweeted they’ve agreed to terms!
