Britt, Quick, Stedman, Tavon,

vIt is like good rolls or bad rolls. It is all there in the picture when you first make the decision.

AgamemnonParticipantCan’t cut Reynolds. He’s a CORE Special Teamer. He’s part of what made our ST the #1 unit in the league. You don’t just dump a guy like that for a guy with wiggle. And I really like Trey Watts…
I am going to gamble that Watts can be a core guy and I like his running that much. But, then, maybe your right? I won’t be upset if they keep Renyolds instead of Watts.

ST. LOUIS — When the Rams waived Isaiah Pead on Wednesday after the running back suffered a torn ACL in Saturday’s preseason game against the Packers, it wasn’t necessarily a decision to remove him from the club. And as it turned out, Pead cleared waivers Thursday afternoon and was placed on injured reserve.
Here’s how the procedures work:
Because NFL teams are not permitted to release players who are injured (unless there is an injury settlement), they are placed on injured reserve once they clear waivers. The team remains responsible for their salary, medical care and rehab. It is rare that teams claim injured players off waivers, but it has happened twice this summer. New England claimed wide receiver Tyler Gaffney from Carolina, and Cleveland claimed tackle Michael Bowie from Seattle.
Injured players who aren’t vested veterans are often waived in training camp because that enables the team to sign another player to replace him on the roster. Vested veterans can be placed on injured reserve and don’t count against the roster limit.
In Pead’s situation, there was no urgency for the Rams to make the move they did because rosters will be cut from 90 to 75 by Tuesday, and once mandatory cutdowns arrive, any player can go directly to injured reserve and not count against the roster limit. So far, the Rams haven’t added another player, and it is unlikely they would do so with a game Saturday and the cutdown in five days.
An injury settlement could be reached between the Rams and Pead, but he would then be responsible for his own rehab needs. It’s rare that injury settlements occur in instances involving serious, season-ending injuries.
It’s possible the Rams waived Pead simply to see if another team might claim him for the future, which would have removed his $757,100 salary from the books for 2014. His salary in 2015, the final year of his rookie contract, is $940,650.

AgamemnonParticipantAgamemnonParticipantA shocker! (#sarcasm). Isaiah Pead clears waivers; now on Rams injured reserve.

AgamemnonParticipantIn mild surprise, Rams waive Isaiah Pead injured. He reverts to Rams roster if he clears waivers.

…
What did you think of center?

Let Postimage capture your image and post it automatically. This free screen capture tool is optimized for posting and sharing images, directly, as well as saving them locally. Postimage can even copy the URLs of shared images to your system’s Clipboard. Postimage runs in Windows XP to 8.
When you first run Postimage, it doesn’t open with a traditional GUI but instead places an icon in the system tray. Clicking this icon opens Postimage’s main menu, which accesses all controls, settings, and options. It’s an intuitive, easy-to-manage setup. For example, a submenu let us capture any open window on the desktop from a list instead of bringing it to the top. A History submenu let us quickly access recent work, and clicking “Output” let us send screen captures To Editor, To Web, To Clipboard, or To File with a click or two. It’s so much faster than doing it step-by-step, or at least it is once you’ve set up Postimage to do what you want. Under the Settings, we could tell Postimage to save our upload history and then copy the URL to the Clipboard, set the name and file formats, configure Hot keys and Proxy settings, and enter Account API Keys. Of course, you can save images and upload them at any time by clicking “Upload Images,” browsing to an image, and then following the wizard to either upload the image directly to a variety of destinations (including family-safe and adult options) or opening it in the image editor and then saving and uploading it.
In most ways, Postimage works like most screen capture tools. What sets it apart is the time and effort it saves when you want to post or share the images it captures.
I have used Postimage for years. Like Winn said about browser security, “Opera is a good secure browser.”Agamemnon

Cut LB Tavarius Wilson, WR Diontae Spencer, OT Abasi Salimu, and LB Caleb McSurdy.
— Jim Thomas (@jthom1) July 22, 2014
Wilson, Salimu, and Spencer were all signed as undrafted rookies following draft in May. McSurdy spent time on Rams practice squad last year
— Jim Thomas (@jthom1) July 22, 2014
Added to roster, LB Pat Schiller (as tweeted earlier), LB Lawrence Wilson, and OTs R.J. Dill and D.J. Morrell.
— Jim Thomas (@jthom1) July 22, 2014
None of the 4 Rams newcomers have played in an NFL regular-season game. The moves keep the Rams at the 90-man roster limit.
