What the heck happened to him? I just can’t sort that question out. Was last year a fluke? Did they figure out how to tackle him this year?
A rumor is, he did not work as hard this off-season. Lost weight, and explosion. Bought into burger commerical fame in the big city.

i think the weight loss has made a huge difference. he doesn’t break tackles like he used to.
maybe it’s just a matter of prioritizing and rededicating himself.
on changing coaches. yeah. change just for the sake of change isn’t going to help anything.
but i wouldn’t be disappointed if it happened.

But at the same time, he’s becoming less deserving of my support. Ultimately everything that goes wrong with this team is his responsibility – short of widespread injuries which sometimes effect entire units. My thing with that, though, is that after 4.5 years, there isn’t any real team system in place on offense, and a real reluctance -or maybe even inability- to accelerate young players’ learning curves (not Goff). It’s this guy’s O, then that guy’s O, then the other guy’s O. Compound that with injuries, and you get what you get. Confusion, penalties and lack of execution.
I think we see the same things, but the negatives haven’t worn me down the same way, and I still see some of it as the situation (though it’s not the same situation as losing the qb and so on like we’ve seen before). But as I said elsewhere, this is not a Fisher diehard speaking–I think if he stays a lot of things get cleaned up (others I know disagree), and if he goes then that’s fine too…there’s enough talent there for a new coach to see the situation as desirable. And at least it won’t be Zygmunt doing the
hiring.November 24, 2016 at 3:17 pm #59392SunTzu_vs_CamusParticipantHey X….

I am starting to believe Boras is a problem…the question is will he grow?
At this point I think his play calling is mediocre at best and mind numbingly bad at times…overall grade is below average.
I think the other teams know the plays by formation and player groupings. I know, for 100% accuracy, when they have 2 backs in the backfield it’s a run. I have yet to see that miss. The niners were laughing about the play calling and how they knew all the plays to the media after the game.
Some of the plays the Rams had success with last year have basically been scrapped while others, that I like, have been added but have now have been run so many times the Yac they were getting earlier in the season is now a catch and tackle.
I am really leaning towards Boras is a problem and if Fish stays that coaching spot needs a face lift.

Stories grow and become myths.
One niner player said that. No one said anything about him laughing. I never believed that story.
You know, in games 3-6 the offense was actually doing well in rankings against other offenses. Did opposing defenses just forget that the Rams offense was completely predictable in that stretch?
The Giants found out you beat the Rams by pressuring Keenum, who could not hold up under that without a running game…and so the game 3-6 stretch ended and we have the last few games.
My bet is the stronger Goff gets as a starter, the offense rises again in effectiveness.

Usually you only get 1 maybe 2 guys that will let the cat out of the bag..so no surprise there.
I don’t really agree that the O was rolling in games 3-6…They put up decent numbers against Tampa Bay (9th worst) and Detroit (17th worst) not really great defensive teams…they put up 17 and 19 in the other 2 you mention. To me an 18 pt average is not figuring it out considering the NFL average is 22.9.
I thought the O was showing that they were starting to trend upwards then took a sharp decline, and I’m not really counting the last game in the rain.
