Let’s put this in context, OBJ out till December his 2nd ACL tear, Bobby trees coming off an ACL tear, Tutu coming off a season ending injury, Jacob Harris coming off a season ending injury. But yea we’re okay at WR did we forget Benny skow out there dropping tuddys? Cmon lol

March 18, 2022 at 7:53 pm #137713InvaderRamModeratori don’t want to lose woods either, but how does a team justify paying three wide receivers 15 million a year? i’m not a cap expert, and the rams certainly do things differently… it just seems like you wouldn’t be maximizing production relative to the amount of cap space you are allocating to a particular position.
i think hunter is plausible. he missed all of 2020 and half of 2021. he’s productive when healthy. even last year he had 6 sacks in only 7 games. he had elite production without aaron. i can only imagine how he’d be playing WITH aaron.
and the rams still plan on signing obj if you believe rodrigue… so the rams want kupp, woods, robinson, jefferson, AND obj? i think they’re prepared to go into the season with those receivers, but i gotta believe that they would prefer something else.
also. i’m not completely sold on robinson. i’m reading reports that he quit on the bears last season. i don’t like reading stuff like that.
Allen Robinson’s Blocking Is Going Viral For All The Wrong Reasons
March 19, 2022 at 11:19 am #137720ZooeyModeratorI do not consent to a Robert Woods trade.
They can deal Jefferson if they want, though I can’t see what that would accomplish. He’s cheap, and without much trade value.
But I want the Rams to get an edge rusher the easy way. Maybe the NFL can rig it for the Rams to win two years in a row.
March 19, 2022 at 11:22 am #137721InvaderRamModeratori’d look into jadeveon clowney.

March 21, 2022 at 7:48 am #137793JackPMillerParticipantI’d consider giving Solomon Thomas a one year, cheap deal. I know there has been a bust label on him, but the kid is 26, and has some talent. Put him on A.D.’s side, and I get the feeling, he’ll have a breakout type of year.

They’re coming off a Super Bowl, and I haven’t yet won a Super Bowl. To be around a group of guys who have done that is only going to make me better and push me.”March 21, 2022 at 4:14 pm #137815znModerator2015 Allen Robinson was such a freak lmao pic.twitter.com/P1yfMTZWWL

March 21, 2022 at 11:32 pm #137834InvaderRamModeratori did not realize that he and ramsey played together for 2 seasons in jacksonville.
i’m assuming ramsey had nothing but great things to say about robinson. i’m beginning to warm up to the signing.
March 22, 2022 at 8:57 am #137838znModeratorAllen Robinson's contract details are out and he has a cap hit of just $4.3 million this year, but it jumps to $18M+ in 2023 and 2024.
Two void years in 2025 and 2026, with a dead cap charge of $5.6M in 2025 https://t.co/t4uVUPQoSW

March 22, 2022 at 1:38 pm #137841ZooeyModeratorSo…not similar to Van Jefferson, then?
Allen Robinson is a different kind of WR that the Rams have had in the Sean McVay era.
In 2020, he led the NFL in contest catches with 23. The year before, he again led the NFL with 26 contested catches and ranked 5th in contested catch rate (59.1%).

Allen Robinson's appearance on the Rams Revealed podcast was really good. He talked about what he brings to the Rams and getting schemed open for more YAC https://t.co/cdAq6ToNhj

March 25, 2022 at 2:07 pm #137906ZooeyModeratorFWIW, CBSsports has Allen Robinson as #1 on its list of best FA signings so far. The author is very high on Robinson, and think he is worth a top 5 WR contract, and he signed for much less.

from 2022 NFL free agency: Ranking and analyzing the five best and five worst signings
Best signings
1. WR Allen Robinson
Allen Robinson was seen as one of the top wideouts in free agency, and someone who could sign a deal that would put him up into the top five of highest-paid receivers. Instead, he shocked everyone by signing a three-year, $46.5 million deal with the reigning Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams. His AAV of $15.5 million puts him outside the top 15 of highest-paid receivers, which makes this somewhat of a steal for the Rams, but more importantly they landed someone who could be one of the best receivers in the NFL. Robinson has virtually never had good quarterback play. He now gets that in Los Angeles with Matthew Stafford. This is a move that showed the NFL world the Rams are set on repeating.March 27, 2022 at 2:23 pm #137949znModeratorCornell@gqscholarRams like ARod’s skillset. Rams feel that in their new offense, ARod > Woods (post injury). Rams will not be able to get Kupp and ARod catches in the offense and still get Woods enough catches to keep him happy.May 22, 2022 at 12:43 pm #139021znModeratorHacksaw
If we get anything like the younger Robinson were going to be solid. This guy wins the 50-50 balls regularly. It’s remarkable how often he had to in the video. This guy will be a monster in the RZ. If OBJ sticks and comes back to form, our reciever room is going to be the talk of the town.

Allen Robinson Highlights 2015 | HD
May 23, 2022 at 8:15 pm #139030znModeratorJourdan Rodrigue@JourdanRodrigueTwo things stood out to me the most today. 1. Allen Robinson looks like he could play a game tomorrow if he had to. “His football aptitude is incredible,” said Cooper Kupp. Caught up with Robinson after practice to get to know him a little more; yeah, that guy is special.…
from here: https://theramshuddle.com/topic/may-otas-reports-snippets/
McVay has taken notice of Robinson’s effort and ability, too.
“He’s locked in in the meetings,” he said. “And I think the first thing that stands out is just the body control for a bigger receiver. I bet you that he’s a baller on the basketball court. He’s wired to be able to double-up, play underneath himself. Some of those bigger guys who play as big as he does typically don’t have the ability to get in and out of their breaks as seamlessly as he does. But I think his transition in and out of breaks, how smooth he is for how big he is physically, it’s been very exciting. Really love getting to know him a little bit more every single day.”
