Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter
Within three hours of being fired in Miami, Adam Gase already had heard from the majority of teams with an HC opening, per source. Gase is expected to start his HC interviews this week.Jason La Canfora@JasonLaCanfora
Mike Munchak is in demand. The Dolphins are now the third team to request an interview with the Steelers assistant, joining the Broncos and the PackersTed Nguyen@FB_FilmAnalysis
Chiefs are going to lose ANOTHER OC? Pederson, Nagy, and possibly Bieniemy.Reid is a HC producing machine
Jay Glazer@JayGlazer
Marvin Lewis was stepping away last year. Mike Brown convinced him to come back for one more year by agreeing to give him a 2-year guaranteed deal. Was always the plan for Marvin to coach this one year, which is why yesterday I reported he would be out.Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter

Five of the eight minority coaches in the NFL have been fired already. One of them after a year with a GM who flushed $16 million down the drain for Sam Bradford, and another one who got two years with Case Keenum, Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch, and Brock Osweiler.
Ian Rapoport @RapSheet
This is now a done deal: Mike Mayock is the new GM of the #Raiders. Big loss for us… big gain for OaklandJoe Banner@JoeBanner13
8 HC’s fired so far. Many from teams with long standing GM’s who appear to be surviving. Hard to understand the thinking of ownership.==
I ranked the desirability of the possible head coach openings earlier this month, from the Cardinals (last) to the Packers (first). Didn’t include the Dolphins (who I’d put just above the Cardinals) and the Bengals (between Broncos and Jets) https://t.co/DPXFjoGFoh

Even if somehow, the Cowboys, Steelers, and Patriots somehow open, the Browns job, would still be more attractive. Would not have said that these past two years. With the Browns, major young talent, cap space, looks like Mayfield could be legit, and lots of draft capital, and what looks like a real good GM. What more do you want?

Former #Rams OC Matt LaFleur has been requested to interview for the #Packers HC job.January 1, 2019 at 10:33 am #95920nittany ramModeratorDowntown Rams@DowntownRams
Former #Rams OC Matt LaFleur has been requested to interview for the #Packers HC job.As OC with the Rams he never called a play.
As OC with the Titans where he did call the plays his offense finished 25th in yards and 27th in scoring.
Now, I’m not saying the reason the Titans struggled was all on LaFleur or that he is a bad coach.
But what about his resume suggests he has earned head coach consideration?
The same question could be asked about the other Rams assistants being interviewed for HC spots.
Anything or anyone that is or has been associated with Sean McVay is gold in the eyes of the league right now.
Which is cool, but also quite annoying from a continuity standpoint.

too soon.
i’d prefer to see what he can do with mariota, henry, and the titans offense for at least one more year before deciding his hc credentials.

My understanding of the situation surrounding #Steelers WR Antonio Brown: As he exited the field in frustration on Wednesday, he yelled, “I’m done!” Then wondered why they don’t trade him. More venting in anger than anything. He has not made any actual trade request, officially.January 1, 2019 at 11:48 pm #95955znModeratorBenjamin Allbright@AllbrightNFL
Head Coach guesses…1. Packers – McDaniels
2. Bucs – Arians
3. Browns – McCarthy or in house
4. Broncos – Harbaugh, Munchak or Pagano
5. Dolphins – Fangio
6. Bengals – Hue or Vance
7. Jets- McCarthy or Gase
8. Cardinals – GaseJanuary 2, 2019 at 10:53 am #95964ZooeyModeratorI could not care less, but if I’m the Browns, I sign Williams if he will take the job.
He just proved to you he can coach that team to win.
That’s something the Browns haven’t done since Byner fumbled. Why on earth would you roll the dice on somebody else? You HAVE a guy who is working. Don’t try to fix that.
But…you know…it’s the Browns.
January 2, 2019 at 6:08 pm #95992JackPMillerParticipantOne more item to pass along: In the Vikings' search for an athletic TE to pair with Kyle Rudolph last year, they talked to the Rams about Tyler Higbee. Rams wanted a 6th-round pick; Vikings offered a 7th, and talks dissolved. Higbee caught 24 passes for 292 yards and 2 TDs in '18

Makes me wonder if some team may consider trading a 2nd rounder for Higbee now? Patriots? Just wondering. Hmmmmm
