ZooeyModeratorRobert Quinn the top rusher. It’s too bad the Rams couldn’t hang onto him.

Suh. If memory serves. Tree + Quinn = Suh, Peters, Talib.

AgamemnonParticipantThe Rams saved ~ $11.5 million by trading Quinn to Miami for basically a 4th round choice, which equaled Brian Allen.
The Rams saved ~ $11 million by trading Ogletree to the Giants.
Traded to New York (NYG) from Los Angeles (LA) with 2019 7th round pick for 2018 4th round pick (#135 John Franklin-Myers) and 2018 6th round pick (#176 John Kelly)
Ndamukong Suh DT $14,000,000
Marcus Peters CB $1,741,931
Aqib Talib CB $11,000,000
.
So they traded Quinn and Ogletree for a couple 4th round picks+(Allen, Myers, and Kelly).
Saved $22.5 million
and paid $~27 million to Suh, Peters, and Talib.-

InvaderRamModeratorhmmm… well…
it’ll be interesting to look back a year from now. even 2-3 years from now and look at the impact of those trades.

CalParticipantThis defense looks like it could use Quinn’s speed on the edge.
But Quinn only has 1 sack through 4 games. And he has 0 forced fumbles. I’d guess he’s still not close to the same player he was pre-back surgery.

probably never will be but still far better than what they have right now.
there is still ogbo… but i’m not gonna get my hopes up.

Don’t forget Ja’Von Rolland-Jones. Tied for the NCAA Career Record in Sacks with Ravens great Terrell Suggs. Rams just added him to the Practice Squad.

i saw that. i don’t know. i had my hopes a little bit up looking at his college production. but he tested very poorly. very slow (timed 5.0 seconds in the 40). not explosive. not agile. lacks great length.
my hopes for ogbo are not great. probably less so with rolland-jones.
maybe franklin-myers starts picking it up more and more???

One note on this — because Rams currently have 52 players on their roster, they are not eligible to carry a 3rd year practice squad player on the roster for the game. LA is eligible to re-sign Neary to the practice squad on Monday.Rich Hammond@Rich_Hammond
Rams couldn’t keep a third-year guy on PS if they only had 52 on main roster. Why only 52? It basically was explained to me as…no need to call up a PS guy who would be inactive and eventually would get dropped again and thus be exposed to waivers. Return of Obo also looms.==
