Not every team that gets aggressive in the offseason is doomed to be the 2011 Eagles. The Rams were good last season, added four blue-chip vets in the offseason, and are ready to be even better this season

Among the 44 WRs with at least 50 targets from Wk 9-WC playoff game, Robert Woods led all in WR rating (Passer Rating when targeted) at 138.5 and was third in average yards gained per route run at 2.91 #LARams

Negotiations between the @Raiders and @Mack52_ appear nonexistent. Would you pay him QB money?

(Mack) is saying, “If the quarterback is so important, I’m the one that neutralizes him.”

    TAVON AUSTIN ON THE TRADE:

At the time, I thought I was staying with the Rams. I had restructured my contract, I thought I was solid with them. When the call came through… it’s the type of game that we play. At the end of the day, I am still playing football and I’m still thankful. I was a little hurt but it is what it is.

Interestingly yesterday on Colin Cowherd show Albert Breer was on talking about AD and Mack.
He talked about when Suh signed his contract for 19 million a year in 2015 that that contract was 86 % of QB money. And that a year later Von Miller average was the same 19 million. And that the number for top defensive players has stagnated. And with that same 19 million only equals to 66% of QB money now. So it seems that AD and Mack’s agents are trying to close that gap back up. To get there it would be around 25 million. So the Rams are going to pay at least 23/24 million.

I was surprised to just realize that I had completely forgotten about Tavon already. In reading all the reports, and so forth, I realize I haven’t thought of him since the trade.

If teams think they can win without fundamentally taking care of these positions (DT/DE) and accepting the fact that this is where the salaries need to be for this caliber of defender, then they won’t and don’t deserve to win. @AaronDonald97 #khalilmack

Ranking all 32 NFL receiving corps entering 2018

(Note: this includes WRs and TEs)

    12. Los Angeles Rams
Yards per route run as a unit, rank: 1.52 (4th)

With all the struggles that we’ve seen from rookie wide receivers of late, Cooper Kupp’s rookie season should be incredibly encouraging for Rams fans. Kupp’s 2.04 yards per route from the slot was top five among all receivers, and he likely would have led the league if it weren’t for an uncharacteristic five drops on 51 catchable targets. His last year at Eastern Washington, Kupp dropped all of six passes on 125 catchable targets
