    And now it’s done: 49ers and CB Richard Sherman reached agreement tonight on a three-year deal, source tells ESPN. Sherman is a 49er.

    Even coming off a torn Achilles, Richard Sherman and the 49ers both still expect that he will be ready for training camp this summer, per sources.

    younger corner coming off an injury vs older corner who knows the defense but can be a loose cannon.

    i guess we’ll find out if the rams made the right choice.

    Yeah, we will.

    But in the mean time, bear in mind that the 49ers first choice was also Talib, and Sherman is Plan B. So they were thinking the same thing the Rams were.

    i think at this point talib is the safer bet, but if sherman comes back healthy he’s younger and he’s got better intangibles i would think.

    and i’m sure salary played a big part in talib being more desirable as well.
