New Rams corner Marcus Peters, on NFL Network: "I am a Tasmanian devil. I'm going to go get the ball. Just let me make plays."

Marcus Peters, on NFL Network, on the Rams: "We’re going to win games. When you’ve got a running back like I do, when you’ve got a front seven like I do, all I’ve got to do is make plays."

Marcus Peters on NFL Network on facing the Chiefs and Pat Mahomes in 2018: "I'm expecting turnovers and I'm expecting a win. He knows how to give me the ball."

The return for Marcus Peters tells you how limited his market was — but it’s a steal for the Rams ..New Rams CB Marcus Peters was asked on NFL Total Access if he agreed with the Chiefs parting ways with QB Alex Smith. “No, man,” he said. “Alex don’t get enough respect, and they need to start putting some respect on that man’s name. Because I (have) seen that man get thrown under the bus too many times, and he took it as a man. He never complained about it. He don’t turn the ball over, and he knows how to win. That was our fault for messing up the playoffs on him. Our fault.”
Marcus Peters calls Andy Reid “Big Red” and said there were never any issues between the two.
“It’s business, and all I can do is go handle mines,” new Rams CB Marcus Peters said of the trade on NFL Total Access.
Been doing some digging on Marcus Peters today, and I believe that if there’s any organization — any locker room — that can absorb that personality and maximize that talent, it’s the Rams.
Rams now have up to 5 players who can make a solid case as the NFL’s best at their respective positions: Whitworth (LT), Gurley (RB), Donald (DT), Peters (CB), Hekker (P). That is quite good.

Speaking on the Rams …
We are a young team …we have a front seven , we all want to win ,Cooper Kupp, Jared Goff “.
We’re going to get Gurley the Ball ,I play Madden I know this team.”
He sounded excited to be here.

Well, if he’s done that kind of research, he is definitely the man.

Gotta say, I was expecting to have a worse reaction to the interview.
My gut sez, he’ll be ok.

Honest question. Give me a fair percentage on your gut being right on things like this.
Because it’s the net, I have to add–there’s no hint of irony in that. Like I said, honest question.
February 26, 2018 at 11:56 pm #83226ZooeyModeratorWell…he seemed genuine. I didn’t sense a bunch of agent-coached horseshit.

i think this guy has it all – just has to learn how to keep his emotions in check.

I liked when he noted how he will miss his team-mates. And he named some of them. That was genuine.
I’m sure there will be incidents in the future, but my impression is he can be reasoned with.

vYeah, he is not Lawrence Phillips or Pacman Jones. Strikes me as more of a Terrell Owens, but with anger outbursts instead of big ego outbursts.

Agree. I think his teammates will like him.
Who knows though.
…i ‘do’ think there will be an incident or two next season. He’s never gonna be Aeneas Williams 🙂

kinda reminds me of turley. he’ll be fine and then all of a sudden he’ll grab an opponent’s helmet and throw it across the field.

Much better comparison. Yeah. Sometimes people grow out of that, though, and that’s the hope. Looks like 28 other teams did not think there was any chance of that.
