Sammy Watkins says the injury to fellow former Clemson star Deshaun Watson “hurt my feelings.”
“He was doing so well. I wanted to see him carry that team to the playoffs. I know he had that injury before. He’ll come back stronger.”
Watkins said he hasn’t reached out to Watson yet besides a tweet, but he’ll let things settle down and then “definitely give him a call.”
Trumaine Johnson: “It would be big to go out there, get that win and continue this winning streak.”
“Not satisfied with it, but it’s a beginning,” — Trumaine Johnson
Matt Lafleur mentions red zone as being a place of improvement worked on during the bye week.
Lafleur hints the Rams need to run the ball better in the red zone in order to have success in those situations.

Rams OC Matt LaFleur, when asked in his session with the media today about Robert Woods and Sammy Watkins having big games together, like they did in Week 3: “I think every week we’re trying to get everybody involved. Depending on what the defense is presenting to you, it either does or does not allow you to go that direction. But certainly we’re always trying to get those two involved in the same game plan. Like I’ve said before, the more you’re able to spread the ball around, it kind of opens it up more for everybody else and just some more explosive plays.”
