And I’ve already read several eulogies for the Sanders campaign from the MSM who aren’t doing a very good job of hiding their glee that Hillary won.

I mean the connection is pretty simple. Getting big money out of elections hurts who the most? the MSM. That’s where the big money GOES. Those ads on TV? Yeah, they go to TV.

You know all of this, I know.

What’s going to require a ton of deep breathing is that I called for Hillary to win SC by 16 points several weeks ago. I think that may have been optimistic, but I’ll stick with it. It won’t matter if Bernie closes to 5 points.

As far as the MSM is concerned, this race is as over for Bernie as it is for Bush. And no matter how much Debbie Wasserman Schultz lies out of her piehole that Super Delegates aren’t what they are and historically have been and rarely change their votes and thus Bernie would have to beat Hillary by 15% in order to overcome the Super Delegate advantage she has (she has nearly all of them), the MSM may be right.

Because of the Super Delegates, it is over. Even if Bernie narrowly squeaks out victories, you can’t tell me that Clinton is going to give away the Presidency if she is on the Precipice because the VOTERS wanted Bernie, but she’s a few short of victory. I mean, if Bernie is up on voted on delegates (which amount to 85% of the total delegate count) 50.1% to 49.9% and Hillary has nearly all of the Super Delegates, while you can bet the Sanders campaign will renew their calls for the Super Delegates to vote with their constituents, there’s no chance that happens and Hillary will roll to victory.

Guaranteed. And then she’ll just shrug and say “hey, we followed the rules” and ignore any questions about voter intent.

That said, I don’t think Bernie will get the delegates. I think he’ll be close, but just short.

I may have to recall my call, especially in light of Trump’s showing in SC. That changes things especially with him sweeping all of the delegates. Plus, as it’s pretty evident, I was pretty upset.

I used to think the President didn’t have that much effect on the economy and a bunch of other things. Then GW Bush came and set me straight.

Now the idea of a Clinton Presidency really bothers me… and a Trump or Rubio Presidency just scares/angers the shit out of me.

I just had to laugh. An actual laugh.

I’m not even mad. I’m laughing.

Trump doesn’t beat Bernie, but he beats Hillary.

That’s what’s so funny.

What I find funny is that Bernie gets razzed about low turnout.

Okay. But he’s right that Dems win when turnout is high and turnout is much lower.

Why isn’t Hillary getting dinged any for that?

Even if the Cruz voters can’t stand Trump, they HATE Hillary with enough passion that they’ll stand in a Blizzard to vote for Bessy the cow over Hillary.

I can’t see millennials putting it all together regarding Climate Change and the Supreme Court and doing the ground work for Hillary…

NBC News/ WSJ poll just prior to article posted 2/18/16 Shows these results:

Clinton: 50
Trump: 40

Clinton: 46
Cruz: 46

Sanders: 53
Trump: 37

Sanders: 50
Cruz: 40

So in BOTH likely scenarios, Sanders does better.

Also, when it comes to the Electoral map, Sanders is stronger. He holds the rust belt against Donald Trump and also opens up some western states. Against Cruz, Sanders is even stronger.

Against Clinton, Cruz has the potential to make inroads in states where conservatives have made advances like Wisconsin when voter turnout is low. Trump has the potential to peal off rust belt states and states like Florida and North Carolina.

Both of those possibilities are electoral maps to the White House even if they lose the popular vote because I can see both getting crushed in states like New York and California, especially CA.

This whole “inevitability” thing reminds me of Mitt Romney… he was the next guy up and he got waxed. Winning elections isn’t about getting behind “the next guy or gal”.
