Touchdown, Panthers. Bryce Young to Tetairoa McMillan from 43 yards out.

Emmanuel Forbes Jr. was surging, but that’s the second long touchdown he’s given up today.

    Back and forth we go.

    Panthers 31, Rams 28, 6:34 4Q.

Panthers have been so good as the spoiler team this season and what a win…Rams (Stafford) had been so clean all year felt like the dark chaos simply had to peek out sometime before January!

Football is a really simple game sometimes.

Lose the turnover battle 3-0 and you’re usually going to lose, even as a much better team.

Rams were the NFL flavor of the week last week.
    Life moves fast.

that was only the 3rd time in 12 games that the rams defense has given up an opening drive td this season.

Sky isn’t falling. Panthers made all they plays that they needed to. Stafford uncharacteristically turned it over 3x and they capitalized on all of them.

No more long east coast trips on the schedule. Go learn from it and beat the shit out of AZ next weekend.

We gave this game away with turnovers, anywhere between 10 to 14 in the first quarter.

Starting with the first TO was on 3rd and 6yd on the CAR 8 yd line,
Stafford throwing the ball too low hitting the DL’s helmet and bouncing off to a DB’s hands.
    That’s 3 or 7points we gave up.

Then the pick six in which that’s another 7 points.

    Offense:

    OL:
They played really well, they opened up holes for the run game helping the RBs with 2/TD,
and 152yds in the run game, and pretty much did a good job in pass protection,
except for giving up two sacks, and 2 QB hits.

As for the sacks, the 1st based off my memory,
it looked like a 2-man blitz from the same inside gap,
    it was well disguise.

The other was at the end of the game,
after an offside by our OL inside the redzone at CAR 17yd line,
moving the ball back to 22yd line making it 3rd and 10yds,

    pressure came from Dotsons side,
while the DL did a stunt on the other side freeing up a DL to get a sack fumble on Stafford.

That’s making it another 3 or 7 point giving up.
Making it a total of 13 to 21 point of missed opportunity for the game.
In other words, we gave this game away.

    QB:
Stafford, if it wasn’t for those 2 INT and a sack fumble, he would have had a decent game.
    Stats: 28/att, 18/comp, 64%/comp, 243yds 2/TD 2/INT, 1/fumble

    RB:
Both Williams and Corum were outstanding in the run game, each getting a TD.
    Corum: 7/att 81yds 1/TD
    Williams: 13/att, 72 yds 1/TD

    WR:
TAE and Stafford have this redzone connection.
But Stafford missed TAE down field, when Stafford did a check down pass.
    Stats: 2/TD for TAE with 5/tar, 4/rec for 58yds

Nacua, once again, it was a disappointing lost especially with that spectacular catch by Puka for 31 yards,
setting up a TD at the 7yd line.
    Stats: 9/tar, 6/rec, 72yds

There was one play the CAR offense did, that McVay should save for his playbook,
was the TE in motion to lead block in a screen pass to the RB for a TD.

    Defense:

DL played well early in the game, but they looked tired in the second half,
Especially in the third quarter, when CAR had the ball for over 13 minutes.

They couldn’t stop the run, giving up 164 yds on the ground.
They also didn’t stay disciplined in their lanes, to where CAR’s QB could scramble out.
They only had 2 sacks and 2 QB hits.

    DB:
They did not have a great game. Giving up 3 passing TD.
2 of those TD came off from Forbes coverage,
Both times got beat from a 4th and short downs.

He seemed to be worried of his opponent coming back in to make a catch for a first down,
Then got beat on the go and out.

    ST:
    Thiccer the Kicker 4/4 XP
Evans just one punt for 56yds in the 3rd qtr after the RAMs went 3 and out.

Damn… I didn’t realize that the Rams played penalty free until delay of game….

Rams Bros on this thread nailed it… take it out on the Cards next week…

Yeah. I think if the Rams take it all out on the Cards next week, and bury them by 20 points, I will not be the least bit surprised.

Reno is only 100 miles away from me. Maybe I should put my money where my mouth is. Seriously, though, I don’t care what the spread is. The Rams will cover it.
