the rams are an all-time 5-1 vs the jaguars, the rams won the first meeting that took place in 1996 – the last time these teams met was during the rams ’21 super bowl year, the rams smoked the jags 37-7, which is the 2nd biggest margin of victory since stafford has been in horns.October 15, 2025 at 6:49 pm #158688
znModeratorFrom SoFi Stadium to Camden Yards: How the Rams are preparing for London

The Rams will practice at Camden Yards baseball stadium this week after beating Baltimore, preparing for Sunday’s game against Jacksonville in London.
This extended road trip strategy has worked before: the Rams stayed in host cities before London games in 2017 and 2019.
BALTIMORE — Oriole Park at Camden Yards, the home of the Baltimore Orioles, is located a short walk from M&T Bank Stadium, where the Rams began an extended road trip on Sunday with a 17-3 victory over the Baltimore Ravens.
For much of this week, the baseball stadium will serve as the Rams’ home away from home as they prepare for Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in London.
This is not the first time that the Rams have played an away game and then remained in the city before traveling abroad.
In 2017, coach Sean McVay’s first season, the Rams defeated the Jaguars in Jacksonville, Fla., and then stayed in town before traveling to defeat the Arizona Cardinals at Twickenham Stadium in London.
Two years later, the Rams beat the Falcons in Atlanta, and then remained there for a few days before traveling to London and defeating the Cincinnati Bengals at Wembley Stadium.
Several players said they would rely on the Rams’ training staff to help them modify weekly routines that include massage, acupuncture and other bodywork sessions with California providers outside of the organization.
Rams safety Quentin Lake noted that last season, the Rams stayed in Arizona for a few days before they played the Minnesota Vikings in an NFC wild-card game that was moved from SoFi Stadium because of wildfires in Pacific Palisades and Altadena.
“You’re in an unfamiliar environment and … it’s just the team and staff,” Lake said Sunday, adding, “Nothing truly is going to change in terms of our routine. … Honestly I love it because it’s fun.
“It’s fun for us to be in a different environment and really just lock in on football and focus on the task at hand.”

wvParticipantThe Jaguars listed Travon Walker as full, Robert Hainsey as limited
The Jaguars posted their initial injury report for Week 7. To nobody’s surprise, linebacker Devin Lloyd and tight end Quintin Morris won’t be available. Before the team flew to London, both of them had been ruled out.
Ventrell Miller, a third-round pick in 2023, will fill in for Lloyd. On the other hand, there’s a strong chance that Jacksonville will promote tight end Jordan Atkins to the active roster via standard elevation after signing him before making the trip. If he suits up, he’ll be behind Johnny Mundt and Hunter Long on the depth chart.
For the moment, though, Lloyd and Morris are the only players who won’t suit up. Center Robert Hainsey got the limited designation while he recovers from a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 5. Rookie Jonah Monheim stepped in his place and got the starting nod against the Seattle Seahawks.
If Hainsey isn’t good to go, Monheim will make his second start in a row. It’s important to note that the Jaguars gave up seven sacks and 33 total pressures in the loss to Seattle. However, Monheim only allowed one pressure. Based on his promising outing, it’s possible that the coaching staff may not be in a hurry to get Hainsey back on the field in Week 7.
Apart from Hainsey, safety Eric Murray (neck) and wide receiver Dyami Brown (wide receiver) were limited in practice. Then again, they’ve previously popped up on the injury report but still played, so both of them should be good to go against the Rams.
The biggest news from the injury report, though, is probably that Travon Walker was a full participant in practice. The former Georgia Bulldog is dealing with a wrist injury. He underwent surgery before Week 5 and missed a game. Walker returned for the Seahawks game but was on a snap count. Having more time to recover, he could have a bigger role against the Rams.
Having Travon Walker is huge, but the Jaguars O-Line must play better
The Jaguars should be thrilled that Travon Walker has no restrictions. Having him around will increase the odds of rattling Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. However, the biggest question mark ahead of the game is the offensive line. It may not matter if Robert Hainsey doesn’t suit up, as Jonah Monheim could fill in for him. However, the rest of the group must fare much better after their underwhelming outing in Week 6.
Trevor Lawrence was routinely pressured against the Seahawks, and the Jags couldn’t get the running game going. What’s surprising is that the Jacksonville offensive line was among the best in the NFL early in the season, but somewhere along the way, the unit suffered a steep dropoff. They must buck the trend.

From that it looks like JAX is good in the red zone on defense, matching the Rams’ weakness.

But so are the Rams. Rams are better in the RZ on defense than the Jagz.
There’s this obscure little stat. NFL Team Opponent Red Zone Scoring Percentage (TD only) (here: https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/opponent-red-zone-scoring-pct )
Rams are ranked 3rd, Jagz are ranked 8th. For context, the Eagles are tied with the Jagz at 8th on this stat and the Rams put up 26 on them, which woulda been more if not for fumbled kicks and blocked runs in the RZ.
On offense for the same stat, Rams are 24th and Jagz are 20th. However, Rams get there more often. On NFL Team Red Zone Scoring Attempts per Game, Rams are 3rd with 4.3 per game and Jagz are 12th with 3.3 per game.
I would argue that all that taken together, on both offense and defense, is enough to favor the Rams (on paper anyway).

znModeratorRams-Jags statistical preview from @SumerSports features a lot of interesting stats, but not many obvious advantages for either team.
Something to look out for is the Jags’ use of 2 high safeties against a Rams team that has performed well against that look. pic.twitter.com/2sq6yIdmkP
