Not an optimal game but they got it done, with injuries galore.

I am interested in people’s takes.

We still have lots of work to do.

Hopefully, we can solve our issues, next week, when we go to San Fran. I think it’s been awhile, where we beat the 9ers in San Fran.

Solid win on the road vs division rival.

Need to do that again next week.

i agree.  lots of work to do.  but this was close to a blowout game.  akers fumbles at the goal line.  otherwise it’s 27-9 i think.  on the road.  but the rams always play the cardinals well.

i hate that the rams couldn’t shut the cards down on fourth down.  what were they?  4-5 on fourth down?  otherwise i thought the defense looked good.

and i think the best yet is ahead for stafford.  i think that’s a good sign going forward.  not that he’s looked bad.  but i think he can and will start playing a lot better.

Only watched the highlights, but looked like the Rams were in control

    the entire game.

A road win like that, against a division team — very nice.

A lot of good teams looked rather ordinary today.

Shouldn’t have been that close but as you said they were dealing with a lot of injuries. It’s weird that this is the same franchise (albeit in name only) that would get destroyed with a relatively healthy secondary in 2016, but was down to 3rd stringers back there today and they didn’t give up a touchdown. The run game took another step forward,  even with the Akers fumble, but I’m still doubtful that it’s going to be something that will define the offense positively this year. I guess it’s difficult to know for sure until the offensive line has had a chance to work together for more than a couple of weeks. Anyway, the depth of this team is something to be pleased with so far, but the Niners are going to be buzzsaw next week. Trent Williams just went down though.

A couple of next day thoughts. Both Powell and Skowronek have surpassed Atwell as offensive contributors. Skowronek was already there last season,  guess. I know that he has a different role than Atwell would, but after this offseason I was hoping to see Tutu at least be a threat in the long game, or maybe a couple of WR screens. Powell’s contributions versus the Cardinals were what I thought that Atwell could do.  Also, it would be nice if Stafford and Robinson  develop some kind of chemistry because right now there’s not much going in there.
