And the thing is, we know Les Snead is good at his job, and has
made a lot of solid picks and deals, but….the Tutu thing was BAD.
Because almost all of us KNEW you just dont make that pick.
    You just dont.

I will never ever understand that pick.

Coulda had a solid young OLineman.

Some of the linemen talked to me this summer off to the side of camp, as guys were getting warmed up, about how impressed they were with Noteboom and the effort he had put in to add strength/power in the offseason. I think they’re gonna see what he’s got full-go.

The Rams allowed two total pressures yesterday. That’s it.

One by Brian Allen and one by backup OT Alaric Jackson.

Texans didn’t come anywhere near Stafford

For comparison, the Rams pressured Davis Mills TWENTY SIX times

Seven different players had at least two pressures, led by Greg Gaines’ six (per PFF)

    Seth Walder@SethWalder
Rams DT Greg Gaines — who saw increased playing time with Sebastian Joseph-Day out — had the highest pass rush win rate at defensive tackle in Week 8, through the 4 p.m. window.

    His 44% out-touched Quinnen Williams at 43%.

So the Rams won’t have picks in rounds 1 & 2. They also traded a 3rd, but they will have their 3rd comp pick for the Brad Holmes hire in DET

    Greg Beacham@gregbeacham
The Rams have been doing business this way since they moved to LA and immediately traded 6 high draft picks to get Jared Goff. They’re now in their 5th straight winning season.

It’s not Super-Bowl-Or-Bust. It’s a different way of using draft capital, and it’s undeniably working.

The Von Miller trade will be a home run for the Rams if they win the Super Bowl in part because of his contributions, or if they re-sign him and he’s a long-term contributor. It will be a whiff if they fall short this season and Miller walks.

Von, AD, & Floyd are all on pace for double digit sacks this season. 3 Rams have never amassed double digit sacks in the same season since sacks became a stat in 1982

    ThatsGoodSports@BrandonPerna
I’m happy that Von Miller is going to a team that will be competing for a Super Bowl in the Rams, but not having Von on the team genuinely makes me feel sick to my stomach.

He meant so much to the Broncos, and to the entire fan base. It’s like losing a franchise QB.

First Ernest Jones lives up to my expectations in his first game then we add Von Miller. This team is LIT

Summarizing the Rams Week 9 injury situation:

LB Travin Howard short-term I/R (hamstring)
OL Andrew Whitworth & DT Sebastian Joseph-Day aiming for Sunday return.
CB Darious Williams returns to practice from I/R. Game status TBD.

Can we talk about how brilliant Sean McVay is?

In a 4 year span, twice, he’s orchestrated top 5 offenses with 2 different QBs running 2 entirely different schemes

    Guys brilliant

    Greg Beacham@gregbeacham
Sean McVay says tight end Jacob Harris “is a receiver,” and suggests he could play at WR more this weekend with no Tutu and no DeSean.

    WillCarella@WillCarella
Dan orlovsky was saying on rich eisen he expects us to run a lot of packages where AD and Floyd are on the same side and Miller is on the opposite side which pretty much forces teams to single Miller

I think because kickoff teams can dictate so much more than punts. They can tell Kupp to essentially fair catch anything and live with an exceptional punt. On a kickoff you can force a return essentially.

But I’m with you, I light a candle every time Kupp is back on PR.

If I were an opposing ST coach right now I would really be enticing the Rams to try and return the kick off. A) The lack of a true returner means they aren’t picking up + yards. B) Rams ST are getting penalized so often even a good return is typically negated.

Darious Williams is in the activation window off IR currently; McVay expects him to play Sunday.

    That is great.

The DB has outside leverage on a short route, and Kupp fakes outside, then inside, then cuts outside. The DB is in the right place, bites on the fake inside, has his eyes on Stafford…sees Stafford let it go, and it’s just too late. This DB did everything right on this play, and Kupp kicked him out of the car a mile outside of town, and made him walk home. Kupp has more than 5 yards of separation on a 5-yard pass.

I’m starting to think Cooper Kupp is good enough to be an everyday starter in this league.
