In a matchup of former Los Angeles teams, the Raiders travelled to St. Louis after picking up their first win of the season in Week 12. The Rams jumped out to a quick lead that rapidly got out of control for the Raiders. Big plays by recent draft picks Tre Mason and Tavon Austin highlighted an offensive explosion as the Rams picked up their fifth win of the season while Oakland is left in sole possession of the worst record in the league.

Let’s take a look at a few individual performances from each team.

St. Louis Rams — Performances of Note

Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers, DTs: +3.3 and +2.8

Breakdown: Donald continues to make his case for Defensive Rookie of the Year with another solid outing. With a performance that included a sack, three hurries, and a batted pass, Donald has now overtaken the top overall grade among interior defensive linemen on the season. Brockers has not played nearly as well as his rookie counterpart, but this was arguably his best game of the season. He earned ‘green’ grades in both run defense and pass rushing for just the third time of his career and first since Week 5 of 2013.

Signature Play: (Q3 9:50) Brockers works his way past both Gabe Jackson and Donald Penn to be one of three Rams to get to the quarterback on the play.

    Janoris Jenkins, CB: +1.9

Breakdown: Jenkins was one of four Rams’ defensive backs to earn a ‘green’ coverage grade against the Raiders. But while others’ grades were as a result of big plays, Jenkins was just consistent throughout his 42 snaps. He was targeted six times, allowing three receptions for a stingy four yards, all by James Jones.

Signature Stat: Jenkins allowed 0.14 Yards per Coverage Snap, the lowest of any cornerback that allowed multiple receptions this week.

    Stedman Bailey, WR: +2.9

Breakdown: Bailey continues to shine as he earned a positive grade for the third consecutive week. He caught 5-of-6 passes thrown his way for 100 yards along with forcing a couple missed tackles.

Signature Stat: Bailey gained 100 yards on just 15 pass snaps for a 6.67 Yards gained per Route Run.

    PFF Game Ball

Although his 14 touches that did not result in touchdowns went for just 32 yards, Tre Mason had two impressive scores early in the game to set the stage for the Rams’ big win.
