[someone said] it looked like the Rams played a lot like NO did last Thursday. I agreee, but I have a different theory. Detroit played like the Cowboys, they pressed the receivers from the line, redirected and delayed their routes. Their DLine pressured Goff and overall they played the run well, but not as well as the Cowboys did against NO. That caused the rythum and timing in the passing game to be off. Balls were more frequently thrown just out of reach of receivers, some open, some not. Brees and Goff looked off because of what the defense did to them. Receivers were not always where they were expected to be. We all saw many instances when there was contact down field by defensive backs holding and grabbing which could have been called but was not, same as in the NO v Cowboys game. This game was reminiscent of the Rams SB loss and the way the Patriots grabbed and held the Rams receivers and backs and made the GSOT look out of sync. It’s not a coincidence that the Detroit coach is a Belicheat deciple. This is what is coming, there is really no other way to defend a great passing offense under the current rules. McVay needs to get this figured out; maybe its good it happed now so they’ll be ready for it in the playoff.

PS, Rams defense played well, thank goodness.

That is so stupid I have no words.

The claim was not that they did not know about it, it was that they could not obtain it. That meant they were dependent on his version of the story. Take that for what it’s worth, and I am not siding with the team, but that’s what’s being said. Or…at this point so far, that’s what’s being said right now. Every party involved looks bad in this so getting a clear picture might take a bit.
