I watched Obo all night and they played that boy into the ground…he was exhausted…but still he came on. There were two plays I can think of where Obo forced the QB into another players arms for the sack or forced bad pass. That stuff doesn’t show up on the stats but *can* be just as important as getting a sack.

LOS ANGELES RAMS
The former AAF star John Wolford made a few beautiful throws in this game, two of which went for touchdowns. He also limited mistakes, for the most part, rounding out an overall solid performance against Houston.Wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge continued to make plays in the passing game, routinely getting open and putting up big gains. He caps off yet another strong preseason for the Rams.
Edge defender Ogbonnia Okoronkwo was a force off the edge in this game. He created problems for both tackles in the passing game and disrupted multiple plays.
Ketner Kupp playing inside linebacker was in on quite a few plays, both against the run and pass. His best play came on an INT at the end of the first half that eventually got called back.

Washington product Greg Gaines continued to impress against the run.

Los Angeles Rams at Carolina Panthers
Sunday, Sept. 8, 1 p.m. ET, FoxThis game is defined by unknowns, which are normal for Week 1 but compounded in this case. Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is dealing with a sprained foot, and even though Carolina thinks he’ll be able to play, the game plan might be tweaked to account for his injury. In LA, coach Sean McVay has kept his 2019 offense under wraps, so Luke Kuechly has no film to study in an effort to wreck everything the Rams want to do. Even with those unknowns, we do know this game has entertaining written all over it. Expect a bunch of points and, as long as Los Angeles doesn’t get sloppy with turnovers, a Rams win.
Prediction: Rams 35, Panthers 28

FYI on #Rams and potential link to ILB Brandon Marshall: A: Rams really like the depth they have at ILB. B: With his contract guaranteeing Week 1, even if there was interest it would be further down the road.As a follow up to Marshall, you can assume any veteran who is cut is going to be a tough add this week. Unless they can contribute to 46 man roster against Carolina, likelihood is they aren’t going to be signed or evaluated by #Rams until after Week 1.
There are just too many good young players to tie up a roster spot for a full year with a much more expensive veteran.

OL/DL. But pickings are slim as they have 31st selection. Don’t rule out a trade to get around waiver process. You might see a trade of a player for a pick and then turning around and trading that pick for a different player – in essence player for player but with three teamsStraight trade of player for player is harder because both teams depth has to match up along with the valuations of players involved.

The dude is undersized, but can simply play and makes things happen.By my count, so far there have been NFL nine trades yesterday and today with six involving offensive linemen. To what extent do you believe Jared Goff is a system quarterback relying on McVay’s system?
I don’t think he’s a system quarterback anymore. I think he’s learned enough from Sean that he could play in most systems but Sean and his system made him this good… if that makes any sense. This is what got him to climb up to another level but he has the type of confidence right now where I think he could excel in a lot of systems. He has the perfect teacher for him.

John Wolford is why we need leagues like the AAF. If you don’t want to watch, that’s fine. Likely not enough room on the 53 for Landis Durham, but for sure a strong practice squad candidate. I think Howard and Patrick are solid on the 53.Straight up, Wolford can play.
Plenty of clues provided by the guys not dressed tonight, obviously. But other guys, like Gaines, Long, Allen for instance, played tonight and definitely benefit from the snaps they can get. In their case, likely not indicative of their standing.
Two nice plays back to back for #Rams OLB Obo. Gotta imagine the only reason he’s playing is he’s missed so much time the last year and early into camp that he can use all the snaps he can get
None of the #Rams primary young O-linemen: David Edwards, Bobby Evans or Jamil Demby were on the field to start the game. That might be a clue what the back-up crew will look like on the 53.

Snead said that he’s been receiving more calls from other teams than he’s ever received in years past. Said that he’d received 2 just during the interview!
Trade bait possibilities?
Snead complimented his scouts for finding all this talent and complimented McVay and his asst coaches for developing them, both things resulting in this deep roster.

Hodge is an NFL talent, no question. Unfortunately you can’t keep everyone. I think there will be a package in place for Henderson Week 1I think Thomas is locked in. Webster has really opened eyes. It’ll be interesting to see how it works out between he and Natson.
CB is a tough one to call because it’s so deep. I’d think they’d work the roster like heck trying to keep Peterson and Darious Williams.

Need: Offensive lineThe Rams are set across the board at their starting positions, but they will go into 2019 walking a bit of a tight rope relative to their offensive line backups as all three projected reserves are either rookies or second-year players. And while there is confidence among Rams coaches and decision-makers that they are sufficiently covered in case of injury, it wouldn’t be the worst idea to add an experienced and proven veteran to their backup group.
Surplus: Wide receiver
With Cooper Kupp back and healthy and Josh Reynolds re-assuming his position as the Rams’ fourth receiver, it creates an enviable position of too many good wide receivers and too few spots available on the roster. The Rams, then, could look to trade someone such as Michael Thomas in order to import a more experienced offensive lineman.

Not only does this bring in that “two wrongs don’t make a right” thing. It’s also never about the people who actually did the dirty deeds in the past suffering. It’s us who suffer, when leaders like Trump aren’t held to account. It doesn’t somehow right the wrongs of the past committed by others . . . and, ironically, Trump himself has and is engaging in “election meddling” oversees as we speak, and tried to overthrow the government of Venezuela.
Plus people like us have always spoken against american interference abroad.
We’re not the ones who did it, and we protest it.
How that is supposed to lead to us not caring when it happens TO us is kind of beyond me.
