We’ve been saying it for years – This is exactly how the NFL needs to do replay. How hard is this? Fast and accurate. #FreeCommonSenseJordan Schultz@Schultz_Report
It’s early, but I’m all about the #XFL: Insane kickoffs, huge hits, unprecedented in-game access w/coaches and maybe most importantly, surprisingly good 🏈. Because at the end of the day, who doesn’t want that? Oh, and a live F-bomb! 💯Chris B. Brown@smartfootball
Obviously some kinks to work through with the XFL, but very evident how much thought they put into everything. Seems leaps and bounds ahead of the AAFFebruary 8, 2020 at 4:21 pm in reply to: Rams coaching search wrapping up soon? … UPDATE: yes, done #111103

Report: Thomas Brown expected to take NFL job
https://southcarolina.rivals.com/news/report-thomas-brown-expected-to-take-nfl-job
South Carolina running backs coach Thomas Brown is expected to take a job with the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams, according to a Tweet from Fox Sports and The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman.
The former #UGA running back didn’t coach Bulldogs great Todd Gurley in Athens but have heard they are close.
Brown, a former Georgia running back, has been at South Carolina for just one year but was instrumental in helping the Gamecocks reshape a running back room that loses four seniors this offseason.
Brown landed three running backs in the 2020 class including five-star MarShawn Lloyd, four-star ZaQuandre White and three-star Rashad Amos.
In December, Brown received a contract extension to two years and a raise from $300,000 per year to $500,000.
Gamecock Central will continue to track this developing situation.

znModeratorNo one is ever forced into a “pay cut” in the NFL.
A played can agree to reduce a contract, but that is rare.
Either way you cannot FORCE a player to take less than the contract.

znModeratorTaking on $12.6 million in dead money by trading Todd Gurley is a big hurdle for the Rams. Even bigger, however, is finding a trade partner to take on his contract with his injury history.
Good luck. https://t.co/gme51IeUgD

Rams are still finalizing their new group of assistant coaches. Only holdup is desire to announce them all at the same time. There’s no issues with the new coordinators previously reported. I’d think the full group will be in place next week.
znModeratorZN,
Can you check the spam que again? I posted earlier and made the mistake of adding two links to books. Great books. But, apparently the mayor of spam city hates them.
Got it.
And as usual my fee is modest. We can arrange a payment plan, if need be.
znModeratorRich Hammond@Rich_Hammond
Just so we’re clear, a contract restructure is not a pay cut. So if you’re asking if current Rams’ contracts could be restructured, the answer is yes, but that money just gets chopped up and moved around. It’s a short-term fix that sometimes can be worth it.your typical restructure is base salary into regular bonus, which would be the scenarios.
znModeratorThe first major move of the Rams’ offseason arrived Thursday, and they didn’t even have to make a decision. @Rich_Hammond breaks down what Eric Weddle's retirement means as far as L.A.'s offseason plans. https://t.co/nFJzFxo2bR

excerpt:
now Weddle is gone and the Rams’ primary backup, Marqui Christian, is eligible to be a free agent next month. That would leave the Rams with only 2019 seventh-round pick Nick Scott and 2019 undrafted free agent Jake Gervase as backup safeties. Also, Johnson is set to enter the fourth and final year of his rookie contract, so the Rams likely will have to address that soon.

znModeratorBernie doesn’t repel me. I seem to like the guy. But I do get the sense he’s like the Trump for the progressive left. He speaks in great sweeping generalities with little substance in terms of just how to get where he’s headed.
Disagree.
And comparing him to Trump in any way, shape, or form just tells me that you know little if nothing about the guy, PROBABLY because he represents positions which, given your own political preferences, you tend to reject tout courte instead of trying to understand them.
And he appeals to more than “the left,” W. The left are a slim majority in the USA, and Bernie’s appeal is far far broader than that.
znModeratorSuper Bowl analysis: Six missed opportunities cost the 49ers against the Chiefs, who didn’t miss with Mahomes
Brief excerpt:
By my count, Garoppolo missed six open receivers in the fourth quarter for various reasons (two batted passes). That is just too many missed opportunities to keep pace with Mahomes. … Meanwhile, the Chiefs are the envy of the league because they don’t just have a good quarterback, they might have one of all the all-time greats when it’s all said and done.
