wvParticipant. It stands up to scrutiny and the work is done by the Southern Poverty Law Center, which has a sterling reputation.

I agree. I’m a big fan of the Southern Poverty Law Center.Course, no-one is going to change anyone’s mind about this stuff.
99 percent of the Voters went for Hildabeast or TrumpaBeast.
One percent went for the only candidate who supported actual, real, Social Justice.
(now of course some of that voting pattern had to do with lesser-evil strategy etc — but even if we account for that we probly end up with 90 percent of the voting public preferring Hildabeast or Trumpabeast.)So, when a society is ‘that’ propagandized — 90 percent.
When only 10 percent or so, supports actual, real, social justice — I cannot say there is much, if any, hope.Maybe a little. A tiny tiny bit of hope.

wvParticipantI think the MOVE to LA-LA-Land, coupled with
Boras being in over his head,
coupled with starting Keenum and then a Rookie
were certainly big parts of this clusterfuck,
but there were probably other factors because
this thing just sunk like a rock.
How did this team go from that tough team that won
three games to the ‘thing’ we watched the last month? How did THAT happen?
The move doesnt explain that.

The sectarian split is reflected among regional actors’ stances as well. The governments of majority-Shia Iran and Iraq support Assad, as does Lebanon-based Hezbollah; while Sunni-majority states including Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and others staunchly support the rebels.

wvParticipantFor me…here’s the deal…
This is just another example of why we doomed. And this isn’t even in any of the inner circles of the reasons why when it comes to news. I mean…big deal…there’s a feed of stories that local stations can buy from a source in order to flesh out their hour of “news.”
Really, the problem is that news is not motivated by illuminating the important stuff that is happening.
It is motivated by profit.
And it is cheaper to buy a stupid story from Big Source than it is to send somebody down to City Hall to ask questions. And more people want to see a bit about a puppy that survived a spill off a ledge than by a policy analysis.

“…Pointing to the massive amounts of propaganda spewed by government and institutions around the world, observers have called our era the age of Orwell. But the fact is that Orwell was a latecomer on the scene. As early as World War I, American historians offered themselves to President Woodrow Wilson to carry out a task they called “historical engineering,” by which they meant designing the facts of history so that they would serve state policy. In this instance, the U.S. government wanted to silence opposition to the war. This represents a version of Orwell’s 1984, even before Orwell was writing.”

wvParticipantHow is the ewe doing? Is she still infatuated with the Jews? 😉
The Bernie supporters that voted for Trump obviously had no clue what Bernie stood for. Apparently they just liked the fact that he was an outsider. When he lost, well any ol’ outsider would do…
————–
No, I am now the one infatuated with the Jews.Probly true what you say about the bernie voters who voted Trump.
Thing is though, if zn’s figure below is right and twelve percent voted for Trump, that is a LOT of votes, i would think. Coulda made the difference in swing states, maybe.
w
v
wvParticipantwell that was all pretty confusing and didnt tell us what percentage of Sanders voters actually voted for Trump. Do we simply not know what percentage of Bernie voters went for Trump.
Reason i ask is the wv-ewe told me a shitload of Bernie voters voted for Trump. I had not heard that.

You are making the mistake of thinking i mean what i write. You see, i have PTSD at this point. I am not rational anymore. The Rams have fallen like a piano, flung from a rooftop, and landed on my brain.

anymore.w
vDecember 27, 2016 at 8:54 am in reply to: What was the explanation for the defensive collapse? #61874
wvParticipantThe 49ers had no respect for the Rams defense at the end by going for 2. It was as if they knew they couldn’t lose. This was the worst loss in a long time and it was at home. It exposed the defense as vastly overrated and mocked an offense that couldn’t get anything done when it has to.
—————–
Both 49er games together were horrendous. Think about both of them.
If this isnt rock bottom i dunno what is.
