the question is, …is McVay and his gambler Les Snead GM capable? He’s a fucking choker, curled up in the Super Bowl before the coin was even tossed sucking up to Billichick like a school girl…… He didn’t prepare his team for SF last year and got eliminated.

You can’t pin the last 2 seasons on Goff, but you can pin it on his contract that impacts the roster and draft… who fault is that?

BTW, is anyone concerned of the current coaching exodus???? Why is that happening?

Well, i said for years, Goff is good enuff to win a ring.
So, that ‘is’ what i thot.

But i also think two other things:
1) Goff has made more dum mistakes this year
than in past years. I’m talkin dum ones. Not the usual kind.
and,
2) McVay knows more about the QB situation than i do. So, if McV thinks
an upgrade is needed, I kinda just go, “well alrighty then.”

Granted, McVay may be wrong.
Granted, Goff may win three rings in the next ten years.

The future is unwritten 🙂

If the Rams wanna compete with the big boys though,
I think they still need a WR-burner, and i guess
an upgrade at Guard.

I have all kinds of mixed feelings/thots. Too many to untangle,
but I do like the trade and I’m glad it happened, even though,
like all trades its impossible to say who, if anyone, will benefit.

But as far as Goff in Detroit, in a way he’s in a good situation.
No-one in the media expects much from him. Detroit’s fans are rolling
their eyes about him. Detroit has been awful forever.

He’s got a chance to be part of a rebirth, and shock a lot of people.
I’m sure they know they need to build an OLine and a Running game.
Maybe it happens.

We all like Jared, it would be nice to see him rise
like a Phoenix with the Lions.

But i wanna see a Ram QB with a Big Gun
for a change. I just wanna see it.

I dont think Aikman ‘trashed’ Goff in his telecasts.
I always thought Aikman was critical but fair, regarding Goff.

I dont think Mc-Snead should have said one single
word — other than bland generalities — to the Press, about Goff during the negotiations. I dunno why they felt the need to do the coy shit.

Having said that, i also think these are multi-millionaires
playing a game, and I dont ‘feel sorry’ for Goff, and i
dont think McVay/Snead did anything to the level of what we saw,
back in the Madame Ram days.

I watched about 10 minutes of Youtube highlights and saw Stafford take a ridiculous sack and fumble in the end zone 3 years ago against the Saints and also throw a dumb Int in the red zone against the Saints last year. Uggh.

So i read that McVay just fell in love
with Stafford at some point.

Plus the cap hit over the next two years
is much less with Stafford.

I dunno. I’m startin to like it.

Feel bad for Jared though. The Lions. Man.

If Stafford became a Ram, I’d be fine with that.
Cause, I basically put Stafford and Goff
in the same pile of ‘good qbs’ who i think
could win a Ring.

Deshean Jackson would be an upgrade,
Stafford would be a horizontal-grade.

I think the Rams will still be
“wildcard level” no matter how many assistant coaches
they lose, and whether or not its Goff or another
“good qb” at the helm.

But if they actually want to improve, and challenge
the Chiefs, they will need to improve the OLine,
and they will need a burner at WR. Imho.
All that is do-able.
