TSRFParticipantMaybe they should never wear that color combo ever again.
TSRFParticipantIf this is a trap, and we lose this game, we don’t deserve to make the playoffs.
Good news is, I don’t think it is a trap.

TSRFParticipantThe Pats are garbage. They barely beat the Jets.
Time for statement.
TSRFParticipantI’ve been quiet about this for a while, but I just can’t take it any more. The yellow stripe on the bone unis is horrible! It’s gotta go (other than that, good win).
TSRFParticipantSo as I’m driving home from Boston today, they have a 10 Questions feature on 98.5 the Sports Hub. One of the questions was a redo of the 2016 draft. Lance Burkhart was the NFL expert and then there were 2 or 3 talking heads. They all picked Wentz over Goff. On a bright note, they all picked Ramsey above either QB!
December 2, 2020 at 1:01 am in reply to: can the poor 7-4 Rams hope to compete w/ the 6-5 Cardinals? #125141
TSRFParticipantSo I didn’t get to watch the Pats – Cards game on Sunday. The Fox channel out of Hartford that carried it is no longer available on my cable package. No matter; Boston sports radio painted the picture for me on my way up there Monday morning:
Cam Newton was horrible; he only completed 9 passes, but the Pats won.
Murray had a shoulder (hurt against the Seahawks) and the Cards didn’t let him run much. Pats D contained him.
The Rams D should set the tone. On O, they should run the ball early and often. I’m looking for a comfortable 4 point win…
TSRFParticipantWe don’t care if we lose! You ain’t goin to have a stat line Mr. Two First Names. Arrr…
TSRFParticipantI agree with you here, ZN. Probably best for us that the Cards don’t sweep the Seahawks.
Although, I will admit that growing up in the latter part of last century 50 miles away from NYC, being a Rams fan but surrounded by Giants fans, I had an affinity for the ST L Cards. Neil Lomax. Stump Mitchell. Otis Anderson. They gave the Giants fits at times, and I loved it.
TSRFParticipantWhat the world needs now, is a new folk singer, like I need a hole in my head…
TSRFParticipantIs it just me, or does this Florida sun make us look purple? And what the fuck is Woods doing?
TSRFParticipantCreate a meth lab in my basement, or go to church. Anything but Giants / Washington Football Team.
It is going to be a beautiful day in CT (more beautiful given today’s developments), I will probably be doing some type of outdoor chore my wife deems needs doing.
TSRFParticipantWho the fuck won? Certainly not us…
All I care about now is get Agent Orange the fuck out of there.
TSRFParticipantFirst, the wife and I are going to vote. Then we’re going to split a bagel. Then we’re going to go to Shop Rite, buy a big chunk of pork and go home and fire up the smoker. I’ll be smoking trump in effigy!
TSRFParticipantLittle known fact: In Swahili, “Ugbah” means “Time to till the manure into the field.”
TSRFParticipantI want to see a Rams win. I’m smoking a pork shoulder (the only reason I’m up so damn early; it is currently 33 F, and I may witness our first frost event), and will probably nap during the 4PM game.
I’ll be ready. I hope the Rams are too.
BTW, I think McVay has a little brother syndrome with Shanahan. Gotta nip that in the bud right here.
TSRFParticipantRIP Eddie.
The rock gods are leaving us.
What a drag it is getting old…

TSRFParticipantVote Biden.
Vote early, vote often.
October 9, 2020 at 4:54 pm in reply to: Rams v. Washington: another game against the dangerous NFC East #122705
TSRFParticipantMy dad was a Redskins fan. All my friend’s dads were Giants or Jets fans.
My dad was older than most of my friends’ dads (I’m the youngest of 7).
Turns out, when he grew up, they were the Boston Redskins (he was also a Red Sox fan, to my dismay). Growing up in Bridgeport, CT, even though closer to NYC than Boston, I can see the New England connection.I guess I should be glad he stuck with the Redskins rather than jumping onto the Patriots. Would have made them SB losses all the worse.
All that being said, Go Rams!
TSRFParticipantThere’s a thin line between love and hate.
There’s a thinner line between good and bad NFL teams. I’m beginning to think the Giants may win the East, no shit.
TSRFParticipantBeing a fake Hindu (because my family couldn’t accept “There is no God”), Karma sucks.
But sometimes, Karma gets it right.
TSRFParticipantInterestingly, this is the second week in a row that the Giants and Jets play at the same time. I don’t think that ever happened before last year. I guess it doesn’t matter, because both teams suck, but the schedule used to have teams from the same city playing at different times. I’m too lazy to check, but I wonder if the Rams and Chargers ever play at the same time this year.
TSRFParticipantDamn, that is scary.
Me, I’m hoping the Good Lord smiles on us and Trump eats one too many Big Macs and has the big one.
TSRFParticipantBut Zooey, god does do miracles. How else could of we developed the H-Bomb?
TSRFParticipantI saw a great bumper sticker in my travels yesterday:
ELECT A CLOWN
EXPECT A CIRCUS
TSRFParticipantAgree wholeheartedly with your last statement, Billy. Let’s just hope it is “worst one term president evah”.
TSRFParticipantUgg. On a brighter note, most of my redneck in-laws who voted for Trump last time say they aren’t going to vote at all this time.
So there is that.
TSRFParticipantVery sad. I thought he was a very good actor. Now I know he was a great actor; acting through the chemo treatments and all.
Rest in Power, Chadwick Boseman.
TSRFParticipantWe all get caught in traps of our own devising. I’m willing to bet that Trump wishes he never ran for president right about now.
This is not in defense of him, and gods know, I want anybody but him in office, but I’m starting to feel a strange emotion. Certainly nothing I ever felt growing up, but I think it is “pity”.
When all is said and done, and there is nothing left to say or do, he may unleash nuclear hell for all I know, but I can’t help but feel sorry for his lonely, scared inner child. I heard an Abe Lincoln quote that went, “I don’t like that man; I need to get to know him better.” Not sure what he meant by “know”, but whatever.
Maybe Donald needs to be locked in a room and forced to listen to Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” non-stop for a few days…
TSRFParticipantSo tell me, WV, what is the difference between an appalachian paw paw and say, a new england paw paw? Do they have more heavy metals in them or something?
I hear you on the ramps, though. I love me my ramps.
Hate to say this, but I hope MLB totally blows up and has to cancel the rest of their season, then maybe the same for NFL. If NBA and NHL successfully do the bubble thing, and the other two fail, this just shows the whole idea of sending students back to school is more than stupid; it is down right dangerous.
TSRFParticipantYou all have to stop with the negative waves. Universe brings you what you ask for.
Ask for Trump’s defeat. Period. Full stop. Nothing but. Oh, and that he gets physically removed from the White House after he refuses to leave.
