First, the wife and I are going to vote. Then we’re going to split a bagel. Then we’re going to go to Shop Rite, buy a big chunk of pork and go home and fire up the smoker. I’ll be smoking trump in effigy!

I want to see a Rams win. I’m smoking a pork shoulder (the only reason I’m up so damn early; it is currently 33 F, and I may witness our first frost event), and will probably nap during the 4PM game.

I’ll be ready. I hope the Rams are too.

BTW, I think McVay has a little brother syndrome with Shanahan. Gotta nip that in the bud right here.

My dad was a Redskins fan. All my friend’s dads were Giants or Jets fans.
My dad was older than most of my friends’ dads (I’m the youngest of 7).
Turns out, when he grew up, they were the Boston Redskins (he was also a Red Sox fan, to my dismay). Growing up in Bridgeport, CT, even though closer to NYC than Boston, I can see the New England connection.

I guess I should be glad he stuck with the Redskins rather than jumping onto the Patriots. Would have made them SB losses all the worse.

All that being said, Go Rams!

There’s a thin line between love and hate.

There’s a thinner line between good and bad NFL teams. I’m beginning to think the Giants may win the East, no shit.

Interestingly, this is the second week in a row that the Giants and Jets play at the same time. I don’t think that ever happened before last year. I guess it doesn’t matter, because both teams suck, but the schedule used to have teams from the same city playing at different times. I’m too lazy to check, but I wonder if the Rams and Chargers ever play at the same time this year.

    Damn, that is scary.

Me, I’m hoping the Good Lord smiles on us and Trump eats one too many Big Macs and has the big one.

Ugg. On a brighter note, most of my redneck in-laws who voted for Trump last time say they aren’t going to vote at all this time.

    So there is that.

Very sad. I thought he was a very good actor. Now I know he was a great actor; acting through the chemo treatments and all.

We all get caught in traps of our own devising. I’m willing to bet that Trump wishes he never ran for president right about now.

This is not in defense of him, and gods know, I want anybody but him in office, but I’m starting to feel a strange emotion. Certainly nothing I ever felt growing up, but I think it is “pity”.

When all is said and done, and there is nothing left to say or do, he may unleash nuclear hell for all I know, but I can’t help but feel sorry for his lonely, scared inner child. I heard an Abe Lincoln quote that went, “I don’t like that man; I need to get to know him better.” Not sure what he meant by “know”, but whatever.

Maybe Donald needs to be locked in a room and forced to listen to Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” non-stop for a few days…

So tell me, WV, what is the difference between an appalachian paw paw and say, a new england paw paw? Do they have more heavy metals in them or something?

I hear you on the ramps, though. I love me my ramps.

Hate to say this, but I hope MLB totally blows up and has to cancel the rest of their season, then maybe the same for NFL. If NBA and NHL successfully do the bubble thing, and the other two fail, this just shows the whole idea of sending students back to school is more than stupid; it is down right dangerous.

You all have to stop with the negative waves. Universe brings you what you ask for.

Ask for Trump’s defeat. Period. Full stop. Nothing but. Oh, and that he gets physically removed from the White House after he refuses to leave.

    Congrats, ZN.

Did she have the baby at home or in a hospital?

My niece is pregnant, and doesn’t want to go to a hospital. She is seriously looking for a midwife to do a home birth.

After being in the delivery room with my wife for the births of both of our children, I am not encouraging her to have the baby at home.

Here in Connecticut, most open businesses have signs out front stating that masks are required. Two weeks ago, in a local supermarket, I only saw one person not wearing a mask. Since then, every time I’ve been, everybody has been wearing a mask.
My 20 year old son has been given the green light to go back to his co-op job in Cambridge, MA. He’s been home with us since St Patty’s Day. He has an apartment in Mission Hill, and recently bought a bicycle. I guess it is safer than riding the T… I’ll be bringing him back this week.

I wonder what the chances are that the woman currently accusing Biden is from the same ilk?

Supposedly, Putin turns her on (at least according to Bill Maher).

Moldy Pesto? Dude, you have to freeze it (basil the plant doesn’t like cold, but Pesto the sauce freezes great).

We retrieved our son form Boston on St Patty’s day. He goes to Northeastern and was doing a Co-op in Boston (still working remote, which is nice, because he is applying all his Co-op income to tuition for the fall). Anyway, he has gone vegetarian on us, but also doesn’t like tomatoes all that much. It is good for all three of us, as we have sort of gone vegetarian too (but every so often, maybe once every two weeks or so, the wife and I will have a burger on the grill or a pulled pork sandwich or something like that. I think I’m going to get some PIE Mussels for Mother’s Day lunch tomorrow). Anyway, I thawed out a half pint of pesto and boiled up a bag of cheese tortellini. So friggin good, we made another batch the very next day.
