You never know. They could go on a tear and get healthy and peak at the tournament. Fisher teams tend to get stronger second half.

Well i think Bowen misses the main point —
What I see on replay is Joyner zooming in like a rocket
and changing his angle slightly so as to either
miss the QB completely and just strafe him,
or to just graze him to let him know Joyner
is out there. What i dont see is Joyner
taking aim and trying to hurt the QB.
Looked to me like there was a very subtle
change of angle by Joyner to ‘avoid’ a major collision.

    Penalty? Yes. Intentional head-hunting? Nah.

I agree with that. Joyner wanted a little deniable piece of action. He didn’t calculate on the qb’s head bouncing off the turf. But I don’t think he was out for a kill. I think he was surprised by the result. Problem is if you’re out for a little “deniable” piece of over the edge playing, you can’t calculate the results. So better not to do it.

    ,

Who can process at real time speed? The rams will errs on the side of aggressiveness which I like. As they say – if I had it all to do over, I’d do it just the same.

I think they are being fucking pussies. They called the foul. It happens. Fuck the Vikings. I love the nastiness of the Rams D, but for the most part they lay clean hits, within the rules. That hit was a foul and it was called and rightly so. Joyner could of fucked him up good though, but he layed off. Their coach is a little bitch.

Well, that was the very definition of evenly matched wasn’t it? I think I lost my parley by 1/2 a point. Fisher shouldn’t have gone for two I Guess. Rams aren’t gonna win it all this year anyway I guess, but they are building.

The announcers can fuck off about Bridgewater, that wasn’t targeting and they got their penalty. Joyner didn’t go for a kill shot there. It was a bang bang play.

Yes, I would. Eagerly. Easy decision, your game. We are severely overstocked with humans – many of them bad. Everyone that has ever intentionally harmed another for their own gain or amusement would be gone. I don’t even have to think about it. It would be over 6.5 billion too and I would be happy they were gone.

Now, if the rules were changed, and I had to make a Judgement call, then no I could not do that. But if I knew for certain that those that fit my definition of bad would be gone, I would jump at the chance.

I don’t even have to read that – I grew up in AA. My mom went to classes while I did my homework in the back.

First step – admit you are powerless over alcohol.
Second Step – surrender yourself to a higher power (God)

But, maybe I don’t believe in God? That’s OK, you can make up your own higher power.

Ok, well, since I went along with you on the first step as a goof, I guess my higher power must be, well – obviously alcohol.

I think I’ll go with Vodka – versatile, makes a nice morning cocktail with tomato or orange juice, flexible holiday drink.

I’m a drunk, I can’t even come up with a good excuse of why I pissed in the sock drawer last nite. Maybe this in not the best time for me to be coming up with my own omnipotent deities.

We would win the SB with Bulger in his prime today. That Mountaineer motherfucker.

And I said kinda sucked, right now, today. Which is true for both. I think Sam is done to be honest. Would not be at all surprised to see him retire after this season if he can’t get huge money from some desperate team (which there is always is). He is a mirage, a tease. A hobbit.

Foles better get his shit together though.

I think we actually kinda agree on most of this stuff BTW. I can certainly see your perspective.

Yeah, I could see how you would think all that. Maybe you rite, I dunno. In either case, I think it was a good trade for the Rams and I think both QBs kinda suck – right now, today.

    pity.

I’m Interested in your opinion. Would you rather have Bradford and his contract or Foles and his contract and the draft picks? Do you think Sam would be better than Nick under center for the Rams this year?

Given the extra picks and the smaller contract, I would definitely take Foles.

Straight up, all things being even, QB for QB I think I would still take Foles. Obviously he does not have the arm of Bradford but I like his game better. I think he is a better leader. I think he will get better too. I think Sam is what he is – just OK and fragile and not great intangibles. I like the guy, I just think he was was overpriced and not great. Plus he was a one year rental.

Foles has not played very well either though, but I like him better – he is a gamer. Sam seems scared and not really into it this year – I can’t blame him. He did have his moments. I was at the Buffalo game when he led the comeback. He was pretty good as a rook. He looked pretty good before his first ACL that year. But, he sees to have the yips early in games and throws high early, he has poor touch on screens and short stuff, and some days he is just off. He has not protected the ball well this year at all either which is surprising.

I think Foles is the overall better prospect today, but he has to get better. I think he might.

At least he does not have a cap crippling contract and does not seem to be a China doll.

The future may by our rook or maybe that kid from Michigan State, though I doubt he lasts past the top 5 and the Rams have no shot at him.

Rams ain’t gonna win a championship unless Foles gets better though, too bad because the D and teams are championship caliber.

Honestly Bradford has looked liked he looked most of his time with the Rams. He kinda sucks. IMO. Foles has more game, better intangibles. Rams won this trade, again. They should call about Dez Bryant or OBJ this offseason. Laff.

I don’t think that game will “tell us” anything. If they win, they could still lose against top teams like the Bengals. If they lose, they could still upset a top team like the Bengals.

    I agree with that.

What a win probably WOULD tell us, though, is that the Rams are playing with more consistency.

But…I tell ya…Foles got about 125 yards passing against one of the crappier teams (plus 66 yards on a 0 yard pass to Austin).

The Rams have a couple of playmakers (Austin, Gurley), an emerging OL, and nothing else. Britt, Bailey, and Quick combined for 1 reception for 5 yards. And Cook made monthly guest appearance. I don’t understand it, but this offense is going to the end of the Rams season sooner or later.

This should be fun. If it’s a blow out I hope it’s our way or i will be disheartened (that’s right, I said dis heart endededed).

Yes, they need to play clean, limit mistakes and drops and penalties.

I think we need to win the turnover battle and have some explosive play(s) on teams or D to win.

I fear our O is going to get crushed and a “valiant” effort by the D ain’t enough – the D is going to have to dominate. And score. Or teams have to score. Or I should drink more Scotch. I dunno. It’s an exciting damn match-up though, blowing out the Vikes would make me think p-p-p-playoffs. and diddly poo

The D is great. Too bad the Is so shitty but TG is just hitting his stride, so there is that. I think that is pretty much this team’s identity – -all D all the time. This is what I would expect a solid Rams win to look like….at least they HAVE an identity this year

meh – that was Arron fucking rogers. Best GB QB ever (I said it). Best ever ever when all is said and done maybe.

The Rams are going to win plenty with that D and Gurley. Gonna happen. OL needs to grow the fuck up. I still see playoffs in a weaker NFC field and the schedule lightening up.

He backs up both or just AD?

Just AD. Westbrooks backs up Brockers. Also, Donald is on the field a lot because they put him at at the nose in 3-3 sets in passing situations.

It could be that Fairley’s lack of PT is simply a matter of Donald playing so well without requiring much rest. It may have nothing to do with Fairley at all. The coaches may be happy with Fairley’s effort. He may be everything they hoped he would be. Donald’s just a lot better. And there’s no shame in that because Donald is a lot better than everyone.

Rams have a habit of bringing the pain. I would never ever root for injuries, but they gotta let ARodge know what’s up – rattle his ass, hit ’em, be physical as hell, pick spots for Blitzes – get some packages in for Ayers Barron, JL and the Mac bros to come clean. Gotta pick your spots tho – can’t just bring the house all the time against this guy – so quick, nimble on his feet and unloads in a hurry. Should be a good game.
