unfortunately, i would say he should be. no place for stuff like that.

The question is when does he get suspended? How will it affect our defense? Who will play there as well? Things to think about

    well. that’s just dirty.

If it is Suh, wonder if he gets suspended. If he does, when? will it be this Sunday against San Fran, or the divisional round? How will it affect us, if Suh has to miss a game? Will Brockers have to slide over, to play NT, or will it be someone else? Things to think about.

I know Suh is not coming back next year, he is just horrible. I hope he does not come back either. Find us a big 330 pound clogger. That is what we need.

I don’t see Dexter Lawrence going back to Clemson, now. As I see Dan Radakovich, Clemson’s Athletic Director, kicking Dexter Lawerence, and the two out of school. Zach Giella and Braden Galloway will have to transfer to a smaller schools in 1AA or lower level conferences to play football. Dexter Lawerence can go to the NFL, but he may have hurt his chances of millions. He was a first rounder, but may have slid to the mid second. I wish he could slide to us with our comp pick in the 3rd round. 6’4″ 335 NT. And he can run a 4.5. Playing next to Aaron Donald? I’d be happy. Praying that an Edge Rusher slides to us somehow in the first round, maybe a Polite, or Sweat. Let’s not forget, a Free Safety either, could be a Nassir Adderly with our other 3rd round comp.

We had a lot of struggles. But give it up to CJ Anderson, with basically no time, come in here, and looked good Then again, this is the Arizona Cardinals. Lets not get too excited yet. San Fran is a little better.

Right now, our draft picks we have, not including comp picks, if correct looks like this

    1
    4
    6

But then why not count comp picks.

They are most likely going to get 2 3s. And remember, the Rams so far have been absolutely golden with 3rd round picks. In fact in the last 2 drafts they got 2 top starters out of 3 3rd round picks (Kupp and Johnson obviously) and it looks like they scored on the 3rd one too (Noteboom).

I never said they were not good at drafting in the 3rd round. Noteboom is supposed to be our LT of the future, so he is TBD at that position.

Plus, I was guessing it could be a 3rd and a 4th, or two 4ths. The 7th rounder we may or may not get. That is why I did not add them.

CB is not as much of a need. Sure up the front 7 and get a Free Safety. Plus, we are limited in picks, even if we get the two 3rd round comp picks as expected. We don’t have anyone on this roster that that is tradable, and that our team is willing to trade a first round pick for, that we are willing to give up.

I mean there are players like Donald, Gurley and Goff, but they are untouchable and a few others that may fall here, but I’m talking about guys not untouchable worth 1st or 2nd round picks.

We could get three comp picks, two 3rds(Sammy Watkins and Trumaine Johnson) and a slight chance at a 7th(Cody Davis).

    They also need CBs. imo

are talib and peters back for one more year?

i feel like a fierce pass rush will alleviate at least some of the problems.

Yes, they each have one year left on their deals. Meaning, they will be here next season. Lamarcus Joyner is a Free Agent though. He is our Free Safety.

Also, Mark Barron we need to release. He is done.

If we remain playing in the 3-4, Michael Brockers has to go as well. He does not fit in this system.

Releasing Barron and Brockers sheds $18 million off the cap next year.

Not sure how much Anderson has left though.

he’s relatively young. has logged less than 400 career carries. he had meniscus surgery. that’s the only thing i could find.

might actually be an upgrade to brown.

He played 9 games this year for the Panthers, but was released for some reason. Saw he had a tryout with the Raiders, and couldn’t make the Raiders, so I’m concerned.

The OLine is one. They were talking that Fletcher Cox was picking up and throwing John Sullivan to the side. Andrew Whitworth struggles against speed rushers. Roger Saffold is inconsistent, Austin Blythe sux. Havenstein may be our best OLineman.

Outside of Aaron Donald the rest of our defense has been inconsistent up all year. Cory Littleton, and Samson Ebukam are backups playing starting roles.

Also, McVay just has not learn how to adapt.

Now McVay needs to adjust. Arizona and SF we should win, but right now, the way we are playing, they are no gimmes like it was supposed to be before the start of the season. We need to win twice just to get that first round bye,or hope the Bears lose. Saints are not losing anymore. The Panthers I feel quit, and the Steelers got no shot to beat the Saints in the dome, unless Payto lets his Brees, Kamara, Thomas, and some others sit for Pittsburgh.

I did not see all of it, but what I saw was discouraging.

The Rams started off the season with some dominating performances. When they played a tough team in the Chargers, they came through. Since the game where Talib and Peters got hurt, though, this team has been in decline.

The offense still rolled, and McVay made great halftime adjustments right up through the KC game while the defense struggled. Well…now the offense is struggling, too. I will admit that the defense has improved since Talib returned in terms of points allowed…but they still can’t stop the run. I am pretty damn tired of seeing 7 and 8 yard runs against this defense again and again. And when the Rams can’t get to the QB…they lose.

I didn’t see the D step up and make plays tonight. Sacks, stuffs, TOs, busted plays…you just don’t see the Rams’ defense assert itself and take control. Like…ever. Talib’s interception tonight saved the Rams from being blown out, but you never get the sense the Rams defense is the master of the game. And this is a defense of all-stars. On paper, it looked absolutely fabulous except for the LBs.

Now I don’t know if it is personnel, or scheme, but it looks like scheme to me. The players they have on D have proven themselves to be red and blue chip players with the exception of Ebukam.

And now the offense can’t get going. Losing Kupp matters, but his loss alone does not account for the sudden mediocrity of the offense. Since the KC game, this team has gone from moving the ball at will to struggling to put together a drive. And the big strikes are a thing of the past. Goff’s accuracy is off, the receivers seem to be covered, the OL can’t keep the pressure off, and Gurley gets nailed for losses and short gains frequently.

This looks like a team on the decline at the time of year everyone needs to get hot. They look just so-so. They have lost to the Bears, the Saints, and now the Eagles while barely surviving the Chargers, Packers, and Chiefs.

This does not look like a team of destiny. At all.

Does our future really look good?

    1. Is Goff the QB the guy to lead us to a Super Bowl or two? I know this was posted, but it is something that is true.

    2. The OLine. Are we going to have an OLine that will be able to protect Goff for years to come?

    3. Todd Gurley. If Malcolm Brown is not healthy, we will rely too much on him, and gave Gurley a nice contract, but I worry he is going to get seriously hurt.

    4. Our D. What can I say? It sux.

Eagles running at will against our D.

This team needs some playmaking LBs. Ekuban, and Littleton are backups on good defensive front sevens. Mark Barron needs to be cut after the season. We need Fowler to step up.

Even though Joyner made a few plays near the end of the game, he will be expensive, so I let him walk like Suh.

This teams needs to get OLine help in Free Agency. Maybe it is time to cut bait with Whitworth. Love for us to get Guards DJ Fluker and Ramon Foster in free Agency. Both are like 335ish.

Don’t think Talib is back 100%, so I’d give him a one year deal and hope he accepts for next year.

I think he is saying if it was not local, what game interests you, and you had a choice to watch? I know the Packers are going to get hammered, even with the Bears having Trubisky at QB.

    Ravens

    Saints
    Buxx

    2019 Away Games
    Cardinals
    Seahawks
    Niners
Cowboys (if they win their division)
    Steelers
    Browns
    Panthers
    Falcons

Some tough away games. Seattle, Dallas, Steelers, maybe the Browns, maybe the Falcons

And of course one “home” game will be in some Foreign City. (I heard it was Moscow. Outdoor stadium in December.)

    ….

Take away Pittsburgh. The Steelers are starting their slide. Atlanta, you never know, because they are Jekyll and Hyde type of team. Of course, health will be key for us. Who will be health as well.

I feel we need to go into Free Agency for OLine help, get big inside. Two guys I like DJ Fluker, of the Seahawks, and Ramon Foster of the Steelers, both of them are Guards, and around the 340 pound range, are set for Free Agency, and the teams need to think who to spend money on. Suh we can let go, and will be expensive to keep, Talib is a need and have to resign. Plus, we should consider drafting defense. I’m starting to like Inside LB, Mack Wilson of Alabama a lot if he is still there at 32 for us, and if he comes put as well.

We need some more playmakers on defense. The Bears, Cowboys, and Saints, have plenty of playmakers in their front 7. We don’t have that. McVay needs to find a way to combat that.

Rams looked like Super Bowl winners to everyone in Dec of 2000 and 2001…and in 1989, 1978, 1977 et al….

it doesn’t matter…..at this point the goal is to stay healthy and to get HFA in the playoffs …..to execute and hope that luck falls in your favor…..

The Saints play the Panthers twice, and the Steelers at home. Doubt the Saints are losing another game, if we keep winning.

    Tough loss. Saints #1 spot.

Saints sch = Panthers, Steelers (in NO) Panthers

Rams sch = Eagles, (Cards in AZ), and SF.

We have to look at the number 2 seed. The Panthers have been on a 5 game losing streak, which the lost to the Cleveland Browns today, and the Steelers lost 3 in a row, losing to the Oakland Raiders today.

Also, the Bears seem to have our number, we lost 6 of our last 7 games to them, by the way.

Oline was dreadful. Goff was dreadful. Playcalling was dreadful. Legatron clanked a short field goal. We need to learn how to play against great defensive fronts like a Chicago or Dallas, because we may see them in the playoffs. Especially when they are attacking. We play a pretty good front 7 next week in Philadelphia. Hopefully we will be ready.
