Should have drafted Josh Jones OT Houston and Kristain Fulton CB LSU at 52 & 57.

RB was not a major need. Could have gotten an RB at the end of the draft as a UDFA.

Too early to take a WR.

I like Lewis, but can he stay healthy.

Burgess to me, is a Free Safety, can play some Nickle CB on occasion. But we need a starting CB. Troy Hill will not be back next year. His contract is up after this year. David Long is a Nickle CB, not a starting CB. Next years draft to me at this moment only has two really great CBs, Patrick Surtain of Alabama & Paulson Adebo of Stanford. But it is strong with interior Linemen, both G and C.

We needed to draft a starting CB to play next to Jalen Ramsey. Burgess is a Safety/Nickle CB.

Jefferson will mean squat if we can’t block up front.

1st Round values/reaches and best available for Round 2

<strong class=”d4pbbc-bold”>My favorites from round one (best value picks):
Wirfs to TB at 13 (great pick there…)
Lamb to DAL at 17 (not a guy they were targeting but he’s a top 10 player)

    <strong class=”d4pbbc-bold”>Worst/reaches:
    Terrell to ATL at 16
    Igbinoghene to MIA at 30
Arnette to LVR at 19 (late 2nd/early 3rd guy)
Love to GB at 26 (baffling on many levels….)

Brooks to SEA <em class=”d4pbbc-italic”>seems like a reach at 27 but at the same time he’s going to be a very good player there, so…

B<strong class=”d4pbbc-bold”>est available from my aggregated list going into Day 2 (some favorites highlighted):
    21 D’Andre Swift RB Georgia
    23 Ross Blalock DT TCU
    <strong class=”d4pbbc-bold”>26 Yetur Gross-Manos EDGE Penn State
    27 Trevon Diggs CB Alabama

    66 Jacob Eason QB Washington
    <strong class=”d4pbbc-bold”>67 Matt Hennessy C/G Temple
    68 Terrell Lewis EDGE Alabama
<strong class=”d4pbbc-bold”>69 Logan Wilson LB Wyoming
    70 James Lynch DE Baylor
71 Curtis Weaver EDGE Boise State

Now we start hoping for more reaches and then several of these guys ranked 21-50 will be sitting there for the Rams at 52 and 57.

    Why are you not highlighting
    Trevon Diggs?
    Josh Jones?
    Kristen Fuller?
    Jaylon Johnson?
    Ezra Cleveland?
    Bryce Hall?
    Curtis Weaver?
    AJ Epensa?
    Xavier McKinney?
    Grant Delpit?

If he slides to us at 52, a player I would not mind drafting is Bryce Hall CB Virginia Tech.

Not saying he is Jeff Okudah or Trevon Diggs, still Hall is still a big physical press CB, that would be the perfect compliment to Ramsey. Hard to pass him up as well. You can’t find anyone as good as Hall later on.

Heck No. I like the RBs we have. It is the OLine. If our guys up front, and block well, we don’t need to draft any. I’m OK with getting an RB as a UDFA, that is it.

    good stuff, jack.

just one thing. at first glance i think you’re missing kenneth murray. a guy i’d like to see the rams draft. maybe i missed him.

I may have missed Kenneth Murray. I was trying to do this draft, and even during a pandemic, the building I live in, people kept bothering me. They just don’t listen to social distancing. Frustrating. I can’t go back in and fix it now. Once you leave, you can’t edit anymore.

The stash does not work with Jared Goff. Unless Goff decides to get a MoHawk, and face tatoos, then it may work. LOL

I’m for Cam Dantzler. If there at 52, take him. Put him along side with Ramsey, and we would have two big CBs.

I meant I don’t want us to draft any offensive skill positions like WR, RB, TE, or QB. Unless we sign those positions as UDFAs. Sorry for the confusion.

I hate to see our salary cap. Probably not real good right now.

Just saw we are $5.4M over the cap.

Also, do not draft any skill positions. I’m OK with getting them as UDFA’s.

The Leonard Floyd contract has never been official. It makes me wonder if there is buyers remorse or is there some technical issues with the contract for why it has not been made official by the team.

Neither Floyd or Brockers has signed their contracts, so neither counts against the cap at this time.

Michael Brockers passes physical, officially re-signs with Rams

Michael Brockers passes physical, officially re-signs with Rams

Rams fans don’t have to worry about Michael Brockers’ deal with Los Angeles falling through the way it did with the Ravens. Brockers has passed his physical with the Rams and officially signed his three-year deal with the team.

The Rams announced the news on Friday, locking up the eight-year veteran through 2022.

Brockers suffered an ankle injury in the final game of the 2019 season, which popped up during his physical after agreeing to a three-year deal with the Ravens. He took an MRI and X-rays in Houston, and after the Ravens received the results, they backed out of the contract.

Because of the coronavirus, teams aren’t able to bring players in for physicals with their doctors, which has caused some previously agreed-to deals falling apart. In addition to Brockers, it also happened with Marqui Christian and Eli Apple.

Brockers doesn’t seem concerned about his ankle injury and says he’s been working out on it all offseason, so it’s a good sign that he was able to pass a physical with the Rams.

Why do they keep giving us undersized Offensive Gaurds or Tackles, or drafting an Offensive skill position? I’d be pissed if we have those drafts.

Again, no one else wanted Austin Blythe. How the Heck are we paying him that kind of money? I would have given Blythe a year $1M deal. That would be a take it or leave it. Again, none of the other 29 teams wanted him.

    JackPMiller

It’s still shocking that we paid Blythe this much. No other team in the NFL wanted him. I would have given Blythe a 1 year $1M deal. That would have been a take it or leave it deal. I would have been OK with Austin Corbett playing Center, if Blythe turned that $1M deal down.
