InvaderRamModeratorSo, we know they are totally capable of being lying, weasely dicks, if they think they can make more money.
yeah.
i think demoff said he was a rams fan growing up? so i’d think the fan in him would recognize the need to keep the horns. but then there’s the side of him that moved the team back to la for more money (well kroenke with demoff carrying out his orders)…
so… if they saw changing the helmet as a way of rebranding the team…
i’m a little worried. i don’t think they would. if it was a city other than los angeles, i think the possibility would be stronger that they would change the helmet. but there’s too many ties with that helmet and the city that i don’t think they would want to change it. it creates a connection between the old la rams and the new la rams.
and i think the old los angeles rams fans would be in an uproar…but is that the fanbase he wants to target? i’m a little worried.

InvaderRamModeratorAnyway…the ONE THING they CAN’T do is get rid of the horns. They have to know that.
They know that, right?
I mean…they radically change the helmet, and there’s going to be a frenzy.
yeah. that’s the one thing they can’t do.
i’m a little worried.
InvaderRamModeratorwow. what a turd this guy is.
InvaderRamModeratorJohn Johnson III is the best defender on the team not named Aaron Donald. Ironically, Taylor Rapp was all over the place against NO. One of the best young duo’s at safety in the league, maybe the best.
i like it.
InvaderRamModeratorThe Browns DLine & secondary scares me a bit. Their LBs, not too much. Our OLine has not played well either.
how do they compare to the panthers dline?
InvaderRamModeratorActually I just read around. They’re not as bad as was reported after game 1.
bummer.
aaron donald zero sacks so far. i’m looking for him and fowler to each have multiple sacks this sunday.
Quarterback Baker Mayfield has been sacked eight times in two games, which is tied for the third most in the league, and his performance has suffered as a result. His 38.7 QBR is 21st in the league behind quarterbacks like Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew. When Mayfield was sacked less than twice a game as a rookie, his QBR was 53.2.
InvaderRamModeratorReportedly the entire Browns OL is a mess.
excellent.
InvaderRamModeratori wanna see if these qbs can hold up physically.
i think that’s the main problem.
InvaderRamModeratorhow good is the browns oline? seems to me the rams d has to get to mayfield and often.
isn’t grob the left tackle? would he be going against ad?
InvaderRamModeratorfisher knew how to pick players that’s for sure.
InvaderRamModeratorI thought the call on Noteboom was marginal, but only got to see it once on replay.
i didn’t realize that. but yeah. that call was ehhh… the defender was past the ball carrier. i mean really. what part of the defender was noteboom supposed to block? he had his back to woods.
InvaderRamModeratorwell. goff is no mahomes. he’s not some transcendent talent who can rise above his surroundings and still dominate.
but the rams would have been foolish not to extend him.
there’s only a handful of qbs at this point that i’d take over goff.
and as far as the kupp effect every qb has that one guy they rely on. hopefully as goff matures he will be not so reliant on any one guy.
InvaderRamModeratorSosa K@QBsMVP
Here’s the snap count through 2 weeks:Rapp: 71 defensive snaps
Hager: 49 defensive snapsRapp is getting a lot of work, on pace for 570 snaps barring any changes in usage. Budding star who should only see his snap count go up tbh.
rapp has been unbelievable.
InvaderRamModeratorLet us all hope Aaron Donald’s back problem is not a real back problem. Ya know.
I dont wanna see him giving 110 percent of 70 percent. Or somethin.
i immediately started thinking robert quinn.
i hope this doesn’t become an issue.
InvaderRamModeratorWhat do others think? What’s the “informal poll” on that?
well like i’ve maintained. i think goff regresses statistically.
too many things were going his way before and now he’s got oline issues. sully isn’t there to help him. the oline overall is not as good as it was in previous years. plus defenses have hours of tape on him and two offseasons to look for weaknesses, which he will have to counteract.
this isn’t the biggest deal. almost all qbs go through this.
the important thing is that mcvay and co not panic, but i really doubt that they do panic.
InvaderRamModeratorI thought the Kupp run was one of the best run after catches I’ve ever seen.
loved that block by woods.
InvaderRamModeratorliked kupp’s catch and run.
defense looked solid.
offense continues to knock rust off.
second half goff was encouraging.

InvaderRamModeratorBTW it was the same with the Rams D. They did not play their regular D and instead relied heavily on subpackages to constantly disrupt what the Patz were doing.
yeah. that was talked about. i remember people saying that phillips put together a special package just for brady.

InvaderRamModeratorhope goff’s knocked the rust off cuz it’s gonna be a shootout.
InvaderRamModeratorwell now it’s gone from embarrassing to seriously criminal.
brown’s former trainer is coming forward accusing him of raping her.

InvaderRamModeratordamn. last second fg to win.
InvaderRamModeratori don’t feel sorry for the saints.
InvaderRamModeratoromg. texans just scored with 37 seconds left. 28-27 texans. texans actually missed the extra point, but then got bailed out by a roughing the kicker call.
InvaderRamModeratorexciting game. 27-21 saints. texans get the ball with 50 seconds left.
InvaderRamModeratori liked that last post.
my impressions is that the oline played well. the run game was consistently good. and the passing game seemed to come down more to goff’s rust rather than a lack of protection. but it’s really hard for me to tell, so it’s nice to read reports like these and read what people saw.
losing weddle hurt the defense. they seemed to have more breakdowns after he left. hope he comes back soon. or maybe rapp can take on more responsibility.
i hope they can re-sign littleton and/or fowler.
InvaderRamModeratorone thing about mccaffrey. the guys is on pace for 464 touches.
i know it’s only one game, but this guy is 205 pounds. a very pped up 205 pounds.
that guy won’t last the season like that. give todd those touches and he woulda produced similarly. and then he’d break down. any rb would break down.
InvaderRamModeratori thought gurley was pretty good.
had some ball handling issues, but i attribute that to rust and maybe trying to do too much.
but when he got in a groove, he looked like todd. and that was against a tough defense on the road. he looked fresh. looked strong. and still has some speed. he’s just gotta stay healthy.
InvaderRamModeratori’m not too worried at this point.
but i’m not terribly impressed either.
i’ll take a win though any day!
liked what i saw of fowler. he should enjoy playing next to donald.
saw rapp make plays.
loved how they used gurley. brown is a talented player. use him.
September 8, 2019 at 12:34 pm in reply to: tweets & things … 9/7 & 9/8 … including a lot of great off-schedule VB stuff #104807
InvaderRamModeratorSaid he’s seen tons of practices/scrimmages over the years, and the one he saw in Napa, was the most amazing by any QB he’s ever seen. Insane throws.
i hope he’s right. i still have it in the back of my head that we see some statistical regression this year.
the one thing i want to see is more consistency. he’s been good the last two years but maybe a little up and down. but he’s also only played three years. so. i’d think that’s pretty normal.
Noteboom is our next LOT.
again. i hope he’s right. i really like this guy. at the very least, it’d be great if he was actually an upgrade over saffold.

InvaderRamModeratorthere’s lots of guys i can’t wait to see.
i think at the top of that list is dante fowler. didn’t realize that he played in a 4-3 defense in jacksonville. maybe now with a full offseason to adapt to a 3-4 olb position, he can take off this year?
has tons of physical ability. surrounded by talented players. double digit sacks???
i can’t wait.
