i saw that it was deleted. redditverse is speculating the agent demanded a trade without jones’ knowledge. i would hate to see him go. i know his position isn’t as valuable but i like him. i think he contributes in a lot of different ways. i’m no expert so i leave it to the rams to figure out what’s best.

ya know. mcvay largely inherited a team with talent and just needed to push it over the edge to win that superbowl. now with donald retiring he is largely working with a new set of players. a whole new set of coaches. we’ll see how far he can take them. still too early to tell but promising.

but. the one thing he hasn’t done yet is select and develop his own qb. assuming he and snead can continue to draft successfully, the biggest challenge, if they’re still here, will be to make the transition from stafford to the next qb. of course. that will take an extreme amount of luck as well. but that and another superbowl are probably the biggest things left on mcvay’s resume (snead too).

and again. it’s far from proven that these past two drafts have been a success. but. if he gets that second superbowl, it’ll be most likely due to having successful drafts.

so a second superbowl. and drafting and developing a qb (or maybe even acquiring a young qb and developing him) are the next defining moments in mcvay’s career. i hate to reduce it down to those two things as a way of determining his success. because obviously there’s a lot of other things that go into that, and he won’t necessarily be a failure if he can’t achieve those things. but they’re definitely markers. or benchmarks maybe?

yeah. kinchens too. mcvay specifically called him out. held out of the chargers game for precautionary reasons so not just talk. the rams seriously see him as a significant  contributor. maybe even an eventual starter.

yeah. they certainly are the two most important coaches. how those two perform their duties will be critical to how this team does this year.

still want to see how whittington does this season, but i wonder if mcvay’s offense is able to maximize the receivers’ abilities. i’m sure other coaches try to do these same things, but maybe that’s mcvay’s strength as opposed to say a guy who can develop qbs. so maybe it’s better for the rams to concentrate on keeping stafford and keeping the oline solid than devoting a lot of money to receivers? i don’t know. just wondering out loud.

i guess my question is. on the offensive side is it better to spend resources on qb and oline and maybe spend less on rbs and wrs?

he’s still so young. it’s crazy. i don’t think he’s even close to realizing his potential.

Puka Nacua left practice a little over an an hour into it after a team drills period, and did not return to play but stayed in uniform and helmet on sideline. He had a bag of ice wrapped around his right knee.

i don’t know if anyone posted this interview with kay adams or if anyone here has seen it. but i thought it was pretty cool to hear the emotion in white’s voice and to see it on his face.
