    So will it be * Turner/Fiske * Brown * [someone at DE ie. a 5-tech…but who] * Or is the base 3/4 DL going to be 2 3-techs + a nose? so * Fiske * Brown * Turner * ?

that is a question for someone with more football knowledge than me.

we’ll see. in an ideal scenario, that’s what happens.

i don’t know if anyone posted this interview with kay adams or if anyone here has seen it. but i thought it was pretty cool to hear the emotion in white’s voice and to see it on his face.

yeah. it seems like all the talk is about the oline, stafford contract, kupp and nacua, the draft picks,  even tre white. and he’s just kind of under the radar.

i guess it’s the position he plays. safeties are mostly an afterthought in today’s game. but it’s good to hear that he’s doing well in training camp so far. and he’s still only 25 years old.

colby parkinson is another signing who may be flying under the radar. he’s already graded as an above average blocker. but now’s the time to show his chops as a receiver. also only 25 years old. barely older than verse or fiske.

sounds like colby parkinson is the starter right now with allen the backup.

i guess the only question is will it at east be replacement level for higbee.

i’m encouraged so far but who really knows. tight end and injuries are my only real questions on offense.

jared verse is the concentrate they make concentrate from.

if he can play as good as he talks the rams are good.

rams oline going down with injuries. both jacksons and now hav.

the exact thing we didn’t want to see.

early returns on fiske seem to be really really positive. from multiple sources. and it seems like everyone makes a point to mention him. players. journalists. fans.

    i’m excited.

just physical attributes. size. strength. length. speed. i think i read somewhere that he scored top 30 among defensive tackles all time in ras at the combine. all the physical ability you’d want in a defensive tackle.

he’s got all the ability in the world. i think donald has even commented on it.

yesterday jourdan rodrigue asked mcvay if brown was dealing with an injury since he took his pads off early. mcvay looked annoyed but then laughed it off saying he was kidding. i don’t know how to read into that comment. not sure if it’s something to worry about or if it was just a joke. i know this defense really needs him to step up this year.

I’m sensing a special season coming rams nation!!

farr and jb long said the same thing. barring injury i don’t see how the offense can go wrong. barring injury.

i don’t have a clue about the defense though.

yeah. want to see what verse and fiske are about with the pads on.

allen. i’m almost certain that he can handle the receiving part. he was impressive in the limited time he got last year. but the blocking part is the question. looks like he may have added 10 pounds onto his frame.

Jourdan Rodrigue@JourdanRodrigue “Adjusted” was the key word. IMO, there are a couple different ways this could play out after this year if Stafford stays healthy/plays to a similar caliber in his 16th season as in 2023, inclusive to coming back to the negotiating table or exploring his options.

i woulda liked to see him extended.

That cant be right.  The Rams TE coach turned down an OC job to remain a TE coach?

i found that kinda weird too. only thing i can think of is maybe mcvay gave some assurances of a future promotion to oc if/when lafleur leaves? or maybe he doesn’t have those kinds of aspirations?

i love to hear it. and while i know the rams receivers are more than willing to block, it’s different when it’s a 6’6″ 250 pound person blocking you. hopefully, they can do that and still be a threat catching the ball.

How so, I don;t know that much about him. Why do you say that.

just physical attributes. size. strength. length. speed. i think i read somewhere that he scored top 30 among defensive tackles all time in ras at the combine. all the physical ability you’d want in a defensive tackle.

another note. wow. just saw kay adams’ interview with tre white. watching him get emotional describing his last two years and what it means to get a second chance with the rams. i’ll be rooting for him the most of any player on the team.

you know i’ve heard mcvay, shula, and now ernest jones mention bobby brown as a guy they expect to step up this year. i don’t know if it means anything but it’s got me excited about the kind of season he could have. probably the most physically talented player on the dline. probably the entire defense.

Blaine Grisak@bgrisakTST Rams coach Sean McVay was asked if team would consider reunion with CB Ahkello Witherspoon: “I would never eliminate it. I thought he did a really good job. I loved working with Akhello last year and that’s definitely something that you wouldn’t eliminate.”

    make it so.

well, he’s a white, male, multi-millionaire, privileged mega-star, whining about first-world-problems, while people in other places are being bombed and starved and mutilated….so, maybe his problem is not really so ‘dark’

haha. i hear you. his problems pale in comparison to most people on this planet. i sometimes even have to catch myself when i start getting a little too grumpy.

but in the context of multi-millionaire white male corporate executives it was dark. i think of dick vermeil when he left the eagles completely burned out. and i’m happy that mcvay has seemingly avoided that.

and also with mcvay this is the world he was born into. he was born into “football royalty”. this is probably the only world he really knows. he’s young. maybe his world view matures as he gets older. hopefully?

    the best news.

it looks like he did a lot of self reflection and has decided he really wants to continue coaching for a long time.

if fiske can have a good rookie year. if brown can make a jump. if verse has a good rookie year. and if young and turner can build on early success, then maybe the rams won’t miss donald.

I think Bobby Brown made a really good jump last year and I’m expecting that much more from him.

espn recently named him as a surprise breakout player for the rams.

that guy has all the physical ability in the world. and he’s turning 24 this year. same age as verse and fiske. so yeah. another name to watch out for in camp.

If turnover rates improve AFTER Aaron Donald retired — well…that would be somethin.

yeah. it won’t be easy. let’s hope the rams have two big hits with verse and fiske.

and of course that turner and young build on their rookie seasons.
