I’ve only been to LA once in my life. Spent a week there, in January, for a music convention. Most of the women looked a lot like that. People had fruit trees growing in there backyards. In January! One guy had dozens of lime trees. And they were all ripe. He gave us a few, and we put’em in our gin.
All of the people were blonde and gorgeous. They all looked like they were related. It bothered me, but I couldn’t stop staring at them.
I left quietly.
And yes, if ya gotta go 7-9, LA is the place to do it. 7-9 in LA is like 14-2 in a regular city.

As an Anxious Annie I take umbrage at that remark.
I was a Wentz guy too. He just seemed like he had more physical tools and upside than Goff. Plus as you said he played in a pro style offense. The only knock on him was that he wasn’t ready to play in the NFL – yet he’s starting and did well in his first outing.
That said, I’m not dissatisfied with Goff. His struggles in preseason haven’t soured me on him.
yeah. i don’t want it to sound like i’m trying to put goff down. i like some things he did in preseason. and ultimately he may have more upside than wentz. it’ll just take longer to get there. it’s always hard to make comparisons but palmer, rodgers, and brady all sat before taking on a starting role, and they did well. and there’s probably guys who showed promise early but hit a wall in terms of development.
but understandably. as rams fans. we’re tired of preaching patience all the time.
although actually before the trade i was for drafting prescott. again. oh well. what’s done is done. just gotta hope this works out cuz if it doesn’t, this sets the rams back several years.
at least they didn’t have to sign him to a huge contract like in year’s past. that would really set them back.
college qbs from a pro system have a distinct advantage over other qbs. this has been discussed at length. no surprise.
it’s why i preferred wentz before the draft.
but i like goff too, and there were plenty of analysts out there who liked goff.
so we’ll just have to wait and find out. no big deal. sounds like there’s a lot of nervous nellies out there. ha!
well the whole question for me is how much of it is execution? how much of it is design? how much of it is tailoring the game plan to the ability of the players?
is keenum not seeing the open receivers? are the receivers just not getting open? are the receivers not being put in a position to succeed?
and just going off of memory the interior oline and hav were giving up a lot of pressure.
just one big mess. how much can goff change that? will he find the open receivers keenum can’t? are there open receivers to be found? will goff’s ability allow the coaches to open up the offense? can goff inspire belief where keenum couldn’t?

i said this briefly on the game chat, but my prediction is the rams start goff game 5 against buffalo.
to me i interpret the lack of mid range passing game and lack of any sort of vertical passing attack as a statement of belief in keenum’s lack of ability. it’s pretty apparent that they do not want to put any kind of significant responsibility on his shoulder.
but goff needs time and seattle and arizona are going to be brutal games.
give him another 4 weeks to get him up to speed and insert him against a relatively easier defense in buffalo. then depending on how things go maybe we see them open it up a little.
but keenum’s in for a rough ride the next three games. good luck, case!
ya know even 70 receptions and 750 yards. and 350 yards rushing would be enough to make me feel good about that contract. that would put him over 1000 yards from scrimmage. but i’d want that td total to be around 8-10.
Well…I like Mike Groh. Thats all i got.
hopefully groh can extract just a little bit more out of him this season.
