they also have tavon to provide unpredictability.

they’re close. i don’t think a rams qbs has enjoyed this kind of supporting cast in some time.

keenum has an offensive line that appears to be solid. a running back with potential for superstardom. he just needs to find a couple reliable receivers and i think they’ll be in good shape.

i did not get to see keenum. only saw goff.

really just paid attention to goff and the oline.

my impression is that the oline will be fine. in the pass and the run. i think grob will be fine although i would like to see him against that denver defense.

goff looked bad that second quarter but picked it up in the third. i think he’s rushing himself. he’s feeling the pressure a little bit of trying to beat keenum for the starting job week one. but i also saw him settle down and make some wicked throws. now i don’t know if he meant to throw it to the receivers outside shoulder on the touchdown but if he did it was brilliant. throw it to the inside shoulder and he leads the receiver into 2 defenders. throw it outside and he leads the receiver away and into the endzone. again i don’t know if he did that on purpose but if he did it was brilliant.

i also felt that his receivers let him down on a couple throws.

as far as his confidence? i don’t know. part of me thinks he would take off if they just handed him the reigns. i don’t worry that it would damage him unless i felt the oline was in shambles. but i think the oline is fine.

but part of me feels they should make him earn it. nothing wrong with either choice.

The new guy. We will see how he does. I liked Wagoner. He has a way to go to equal him. imo

This defense needs Gaines, then they should be fine. I really only like 3 CBs on the outside. Tru, Gaines, and Roberson.

i agree. gaines has to stay healthy. and i fear this team will really miss mcleod.

    hopefully. hopefully. quinn is healthy.

    that sucks for spruce.

I immediately thought of Danny Amendola. How athletic and fast he was when healthy, which wasn’t often enough for us.

i’d really like to see him make the team. i want a receiver who can hold onto the ball.

They did this thing with a bunji cord tied around their waist, they lined up under C, and when the ball was snapped, a trainer 10 feet behind him, stretched to bunji cord, making the QB have a harder time setting his stance for a throw. Left me scratching my head as I had no idea how that drill helped the QB.

i’d say they’re trying to simulate throwing under pressure when you don’t have time to properly set your feet no?

the rams need to move spruce up the depth charts and see what they have. only wide receiver to show consistent hands.

i like this kid. i could see him and coop as the rams’ future starting wrs.

the offense i think will be better. but i wonder about the defense.

i have this sick feeling they will miss jenkins and mcleod. a lot.

i think higbee can be a good blocker. reports say he has the desire. the want to. just doesn’t have the technique down. but that can be learned.

if he can stay healthy and focused. which i think are two very big question marks. BIG question marks. he’s got a chance to be what this offense needs.

i’d like them to stay in the coliseum. wonderful stadium. just touch it up a little bit, and they’d be fine.

also. get spruce some action in the first half next week. he deserves it. see what he can do against better competition.

and please give goff a whole half worth of reps next time please.

i don’t know about tavon exploding, but i think higbee is a good candidate for the guy to be the primary qb target. probably not until next year though. i think cooper is a close second.

i am also curious to see randolph play tomorrow. my favorite undrafted free agent this year. i’ve seen him in various video clips, and he makes brief appearances in hard knocks. he’s #43. but i haven’t read anything as far as his performance so far in training camp.

as long as they keep the horns i’m ok.

mess with the horns, and i might get seriously upset.

From Brohm’s point of view, Higbee’s blocking is a secondary issue – “He’s definitely adequate,” he says. The more pressing concern, Brohm says, is Higbee’s health.

that’d be my biggest concern with him.

ok. i watched hard knocks. first time i’ve ever watched it, but i couldn’t help myself.

the best thing i liked about this episode. watching how annoyed donald would get with sims when they were playing ping pong. i don’t know how real the scenes are that are being filmed, but he looked seriously annoyed.

    gotta love that competitiveness.

Donald’s athletic skills amazed me. His Odel Beckham one handed catches and footwork on those catches were great.

I think he could beat Forest Gump in ping pong.

they should use him in the redzone.

His final season at Cal saw him grade higher than both Jameis Winston’s final season at Florida State and Marcus Mariota’s final season at Oregon, and both of those players finished their NFL rookie seasons with an overall positive grade.

that’s certainly very encouraging. although i would say that winston did not play very well his last season. i believe he played much better the previous season.

so goff gets more time with the 1’s and takes a step back. i don’t think there’s anything surprising about that. just have to see how he responds.

i also am not surprised that higbee is doing so well. i also expect higbee to get injured somewhere down the line.

also wondering how brian randolph is doing in camp.
