    mmmm… they also lost olson…

it has me a little worried to be honest.

that’s a lot of qb coaching experiencing lost that goff has to deal with now.

Moving Havenstein to RG and putting Lucas or Noteboom at RT is a possibility too, although just replacing Brown with another guard would cause the least amount of disruption across the line.

didn’t they experiment with hav at rg last year?

i dunno what came of that. dunno if it was more that brown couldn’t play tackle or hav couldn’t play guard or both.

but i like the idea of noteboom at tackle. if he’s ready.

the others don’t excite me as much but what do i know.

belgium over england in the finals.

i’d like to see croatia in the finals, but my head says england advances.

PFW ranks Donald behind Watt (?)

ummm. i guess assuming watt is healthy…

but shoot. that’s a little disrespectful of donald and everything he’s accomplished.

And Year 3 will be even better than Goff’s terrific second season.

    will it? hmmmm….

just as much of a chance of a regression as there is a progression.

i eagerly await training camp. i was a little alarmed by curley’s assessment of goff’s offseason. but i’m still positive. maybe he has a slight setback this year, but that’s actually a somewhat common thing for qbs. defenses get a full offseason to study a qb. learn his tendencies. then qbs have to adjust to the adjustment. but i think everyone would agree that he showed obvious talent. he just needs health and focus on his side.

the only problem as i see it is watkins came in late, so yeah, at the beginning maybe they had to limit how they used him.

but he was a veteran receiver. a lot of this falls on watkins too.

who knows though. maybe reid is the guy to finally tap into all that potential. sometimes guys are late bloomers.

I really liked what I saw of London Fletcher at middle linebacker in this game.

right now i’m wondering if ebukam can make a second year unknown player impact. or maybe littleton going into his third year.

    rams are gonna need that.

No team has a better backfield passing game.

    is that true?

i feel like atlanta figured out the rams backfield passing game and shut it down.

i’d like to see gurley become a more complete receiver like le’veon bell is. that’s the next step for him.

If TE is a worry, seems to me they can back-seat it. They will have the WRs and the RB. Not saying they are equivalent to the GSOT WRs and RB, but, the GSOT didn’t have TEs either.

yeah. that’s what i was getting at. even with te being a question mark, they should be top 5.

i say clutch is different for me. just total volume of yards. production. they should be top 5 regardless of if goff is clutch or not.

clutchness for me will come into play more in terms of wins and losses and in the playoffs.

If the Rams can find a truly dominant edge guy — which they may have in Obo — there’s just No Exit for the other team.

i like ogbo. but i like ebukam too. he’s explosive. and he just might surprise this season. i’m hoping he can be that edge guy for the rams.

i always dreamed of having wade coach this defense, so for this to become a reality. i could not have asked for more.

he believes in his system for sure, but he also lets his players play.

i agree with him. i just don’t see how this defense won’t be good health willing.

for me they’d have to be top 5 in yards and points.

and if everyone is healthy i think it’s totally within reach.

the reasons being i only see goff and kupp getting better. and cooks is totally an upgrade over watkins.

my only real worry is the tight end position.

i hope they both come through. i’ve seen enough of higbee. i don’t like him much. i definitely don’t think he’s starter worthy.

    i like the decision.

as much as i like ogletree, he probably wasn’t the best fit.

i do still wonder if littleton would be better off playing barron’s role with kiser grabbing the middle linebacker spot. at least on the first two downs.

i mean i’m almost certain cooks is an upgrade over watkins.

and i’m almost certain kupp is better than he was his rookie year.

now everett? i really have no idea…

but if he improves from last year? holy crap this offense could be scary.

assuming of course that the oline stays healthy….

i really like ebukam. super explosive. only average agility, but he looks like he’s got a motor. i think he surprises.

young. very good size and length. decent agility. but i don’t know about his hip. something must have shown up on his medical. or he wouldn’t have dropped so far.

still think ogbo has a chance to make an impact in the second half of the season.

well i don’t think he’s shown us yet either. i think he’s flashed.

i don’t think we’ll really know what we have here until maybe three years from now which would be his fifth year in the league.

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr called the NFL’s new national anthem policy “idiotic” while talking with reporters ahead of Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.

    Albert Breer@AlbertBreer
I like Kerr, but isn’t the NBA rule on the anthem much stricter? So who is the NBA trying to appeal to?

    yup.

In @brandincooks, McVay & @RamsNFL may have found the perfect blend of Tavon & Sammy’s skill sets, combined in one player. (And as an added bonus, he’s been in pro-style offenses since college.)

not really sure how he compares to either. but i do think cooks is definitely an upgrade over watkins. watkins has more potential, but he hasn’t realized it in the four years he’s been playing. meanwhile during the same period cooks has been consistently very good.

has he played with better qbs? for sure. no comparison. but that’s not the reason watkins has had problems staying healthy. and good wrs usually produce no matter who is at qb.

i like cooks. i think he makes this offense better.

and i should add that i was on board with the sammy trade last year. i thought it was a risk worth taking. but cooks is definitely the safer bet even though watkins’ ceiling could be higher.

it’s not just the clutchness for me. i want to see more consistency. i don’t feel like the offense consistently churned out yards like a dominant offense should and were sometimes the benefit of an opportunistic defense and a great special teams unit. they only finished 10th in total offense.

so i want to see more consistency. i want to see a top 5 offense at least.

and it’s hard to tell exactly what’s going on by just reading reports, but i’m getting the sense that goff has a much better grasp of the offense. which makes sense since he’s been in the system for a year. but he just also seems to be doing all the little things. and instead of getting cocky, i think the success seems to have just made him hungrier.

so i want to see the spurts of dominance become less spurty and more frequent.

and yeah. that’s just the offense. on defense. whoo boy.

stop it with the lock angeles please.

i gotta say though. i’m falling in love with that secondary.

most looking forward to seeing john johnson iii’s sophomore season. i think we pretty much know what to expect from talib, peters, nrc, and joyner.

but johnson. he could be the difference between a really good secondary and a great one.

part of me thinks the jets owner is taking the stance only because he knows it won’t cost him money being in new york city. i wouldn’t be surprised if kroenke takes a similar stance being in los angeles.
